Chapter 337: March to the Ghost Realm and conquer all!
Without wasting a moment, Alexander waved his hand, and a large number of Ghost Pills floated in mid-air, hurtling towards Untold. Trembling with excitement, Untold collected all the Ghost Pills and, like Tony and the others before him, consumed one right away.
Instantly, all eyes turned toward him, especially those of the ghosts from Lake City. After all, these were troops of their own domain. As Untold’s body began to surge with Ghost Energy, surrounded by wisps of forbidden white fog, the last slivers of doubt among the few ghosts were thoroughly dispelled.
"Penelope, step forward!" Alexander’s shout reverberated again.
Already impatient, Penelope immediately stepped forward and knelt on one knee. "Penelope, present!"
"How many ghosts are in your ghost city?"
"Three hundred million!"
"Divide them into thirty teams to raid the ghost cities. Any objections?"
"None!"
Penelope accepted the command without hesitation and was also granted three hundred Ghost Pills by Alexander.
"Isolde, step forward!"
The same questions, the same unhesitating acceptance. Isolde’s block had five hundred million ghosts and received five hundred Ghost Pills. The other ghost city lords also accepted their commands similarly.
Besides Untold and two others, there were eleven city lords: one major city with three hundred million ghosts and three smaller cities totaling two hundred million. The remaining seven smaller cities had fewer populations but still counted in the tens of millions. In total, the army now numbered over fifty billion.
Of course, most of the ghosts were of low strength; their main role would be to boost morale. The ultimate combat power still rested with those possessing forbidden capabilities. Each team would have at least a hundred forbidden-level combatants, a force formidable enough that no opponent would dare to take lightly.
The only bad news was that the Ghost Pills were now depleted. In the Mist Instance, White Clothes had arrived too quickly; the million duplicates didn’t have enough time to manufacture a large number of Ghost Pills.
True to Alexander’s character, his duplicates were perfect inheritances. Before leaving, they naturally grabbed what they could, taking with them the nearest ghost corpses. Although not everyone had gains, at least a hundred thousand ghost corpses were procured.
Normal ghost corpses were far less effective for producing Ghost Pills compared to hell warriors. At most, Ghost Emperors could only make two or three, so the difference wasn’t significant. Fortunately, among the stolen corpses, a fair number were hell warriors—each could be used to produce dozens of Ghost Pills.
Even so, Alexander now had only a few tens of thousands of Ghost Pills left.
Sweeping his gaze over the multitude of ghosts, Alexander spoke again, raising his voice:
"Brothers! You go not to kill, but to reclaim. I want you to sweep across the Three Great Ghost Realms and even the entire Horror World! I will provide you with enough forbidden resources. When you return victorious, when the Horror World is unified, that’s when we attack the Mist World!
A hundred days—that’s all I’m giving you. I want you to bring me an army of one trillion! We will roll over the Mist World with an endless sea of ghosts! Tell me, do you have confidence?"
"Yes!" came the resounding, unanimous shout without a hint of hesitation.
"Good! From this moment, set forth for the Ghost Realm!" Mustering all the energy he had, Alexander roared, "March to the Ghost Realm and conquer all!"
With that roar, echoed by the billions of ghosts, platoon after platoon of ghost armies began stepping onto the teleportation arrays, commencing their conquest of the Horror World.
Watching the ghost legions vanish before him, Alexander looked to the sky, his eyes icy and profound.
"A hundred days! Mist World, hell warriors, White Clothes, and that mysterious existence lurking in the Mist—it’s time for the final showdown!"
In the deserted hall of Dark Hell’s lord’s mansion, Alexander toyed with the Seal of the Dark Hell Emperor, his face fraught with worry.
Beside him was only his first duplicate, who looked at him disdainfully, "Weren’t you all fired up just now? What happened to your heat? You promised a forbidden resource for each and even touted a trillion-strong army!"
The first duplicate unceremoniously mocked his original, "One trillion! How are you going to fulfill that? Even if you kill all the ghosts in the Third Ghost Realm, it won’t add up to a trillion!"
"Well..." Mocked by his own duplicate, Alexander felt utterly awkward. "I can’t be blamed. I got caught up in the atmosphere; you would have done the same!"
"Standing your ground, huh?" The duplicate chuckled sarcastically, "You’re really something. Now we can’t enter the Mist World, and we can’t mass-slaughter the ghosts. What will you use to make Ghost Pills?"
"Sigh..."
Alexander hadn’t realized until now that he had a sarcastic side.
Had this duplicate mutated or something? He was generally affable and wouldn’t be so scathing.
It must have mutated!
No longer interested in dealing with his aberrant duplicate, Alexander returned to the Fierce Ghost Apartment, which was now empty.
Annie and Su Rong were absent, so there was no opportunity for love-making. After a moment’s hesitation, Alexander decided to return to the real world to clear his mind.
His body gradually became enveloped in a layer of white light and disappeared from the Fierce Ghost Apartment.
"What thick fog!"
Gazing at the dense white mist outside the window, Alexander’s eyebrows slightly furrowed.
Owing to his experiences in the Horror World, Alexander felt a strong aversion to fog.
Given how thick the fog was, there were likely few people outside. Checking the time on his phone, it read 7:35 on a Thursday evening.
At this time, the boarding school he was in would be in the middle of evening study sessions. Despite the foggy conditions, it shouldn’t affect normal learning.
Concealing the fluctuations of his Inheritance Ghost Emperor-level energy with Ghost Energy, Alexander proceeded to walk outside. The moment he opened the door, the fog seemed to surge into the room.
Initially, Alexander didn’t pay it any mind, but the moment his body made contact with the fog, a familiar sense of elation and warmth struck him dumb.
This was no ordinary fog—more precisely, it wasn’t fog in the conventional sense at all. It was... forbidden white mist!
The white mist of the Mist World, which also existed in the Horror World, had now appeared in reality!
"This is bad! Something major must have happened in the real world!"
Alexander’s face changed dramatically, and he dashed into the white mist without a second thought. The power of the forbidden affected Ghost Energy, but had no effect on ordinary people.
Even for those with Ghost Energy, the impact wasn’t substantial. After all, this was the real world, where the forbidden power merely deprived one of control over Ghost Energy.
Living beings, unlike ghosts, were made of flesh and blood, not Ghost Energy. Even if they came into contact with the forbidden mist, they could simply withhold their Ghost Energy. The corporeal body could easily block the mist’s erosion of Ghost Energy.
The problem was, this was the real world. The appearance of the Mist here indicated one thing:
The Mist World had launched a full-scale invasion of reality!
