As long as you have the courage, fierce ghosts go on maternity leave.

Chapter 182: I cannot believe there would be ghosts so stupid!

Chapter 182: I cannot believe there would be ghosts so stupid!

"Alexander! Something seems off!"

At the Fierce Ghost Association’s base, Tony rushed in, his face filled with confusion: "The Evil Ghost Association hasn’t made any moves yet. Our scouts report that their high-ranking members are actually hosting a banquet party. We’re on the brink of war with them! Who would be foolish enough to host a feast at this time? Could there be some kind of conspiracy?"

"Tony, don’t overcomplicate things!" Alexander said calmly: "Perhaps they are confident that their strength is sufficient to crush us, so they’re planning to charge at us all at once tomorrow!"

"Impossible!" Tony shook his head repeatedly.

"What kind of ghost would be that foolish! Even though their numbers and strength are greater than ours, this will be a street fight! We’ve dispersed a million members, and that information could be easily discovered. If they really charge at us, even if they win, it would be a heavy loss! I cannot believe there would be ghosts so stupid!"

Tony’s rant demonstrated his strong disbelief that the enemy’s leaders could be so foolish.

Under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t be so naive, especially considering the vast size of Fierce Ghost Street. An all-out charge would inevitably lead to a scattering of forces.

This would be suicide for the Fierce Ghost Association’s strategy, resulting in total annihilation.

But the problem is, there are spies in the Evil Ghost Association! And three Prince-level ghosts at that. Together deceiving, John Harington would certainly believe them.

"Don’t worry!" Alexander patted Tony’s shoulder, reassuringly: "Trust me, when have I ever let you down?"

"That’s true!" Tony nodded, although his internal doubts did not completely dissipate.

"Who’s there?"

Just then, Edward, who had been sitting to the side, elegantly trimming his nails, suddenly stood up, his eyes sharp as he looked toward the window.

Vast ghost energy filled the room instantaneously, the air turned icy cold, snowflakes formed out of thin air, spinning like blades as they rushed towards the window.

Crash!

The glass of the top-floor window shattered explosively, countless shards shot out like arrows at the ice crystals, exploding in mid-air into brilliant flashes.

Under the cold moonlight’s reflection, the window frame and wall shadows began to wriggle, slowly coalescing into a dark shadow.

The shadow’s surface was covered with a thin layer of ice crystals, and its voice was somewhat hoarse: "Worthy of Edward, this ghost shadow carries 70% of my body’s power, yet it almost couldn’t withstand even one of your blows!"

"Happy Apartment, Shadow Killing Ghost Prince Asfur!"

Seeing this shadow, Edward’s face turned serious, as he moved swiftly to stand in front of Alexander and Tony. The room filled with ghost energy, and the figures of general-level ghosts materialized, firmly protecting Alexander and Tony behind them.

"It’s him!"

Tony’s face turned grave as well, whispering in Alexander’s ear: "This is Shadow Killing Ghost Prince Asfur! He is from Happy Apartment, one of Sam’s two bodyguards. He’s a real veteran Ghost Prince, skilled in assassination!

His talent is shadow manipulation, allowing him to transform into shadows and merge into the shadows of any object, even splitting his shadow to use as a separate entity!"

"He even once severely wounded a Ghost King, thereby earning the title of Shadow Slayer. I knew things couldn’t be this simple; it turns out that the Evil Ghost Association has sent someone to assassinate us!"

"Asfur, since you’ve come, where’s your master? And the other Ghost Prince, Terence, he should have come as well, right?" Standing in front of Alexander and Tony, Edward looked around vigilantly and asked.

Being assigned to assist the Ferocious Ghost Association by Louis, Edward was naturally not an ordinary Ghost Prince.

In the gloomy hell, there are more than ten thousand Ghost Princes, and in terms of combat power, Edward is undoubtedly number one.

However, in terms of assassination, Asfur is number one.

As for the other one, Terence, her fighting ability is not as formidable as Edward and Asfur, but she was born on Undead Street and later migrated to Bliss Apartment. She excels in the art of traps and even participated in the construction of the walls of Gloomy Hell.

Although Terence might seem delicate, if she truly unleashes all her strength, even some Ghost Kings might be wary.

This is why Edward is so anxious; if it were only Asfur, he wouldn’t worry, but if Terence also appears, then it would indeed be troublesome!

"You can rest assured! Terence is not here, and this is only a ghost shadow I’ve gathered!" Asfur saw Edward’s tension and spoke.

Just a ghost shadow?

Edward’s expression faltered slightly, and then he narrowed his eyes.

Bliss Apartment and Ferocious Ghost Apartment are archenemies, although, to the higher-ups, both are residents of Gloomy Hell, and even the Flame King wouldn’t dare to oppose the Blood Queen.

But this does not prevent the lower-ranked Ghost General and Ghost Princes from being hostile to each other. After all, they are neighboring streets, and conflicts often arise over various interest distributions.

So, they are not unfamiliar with each other; Edward even clashed with Asfur before, and naturally knows very well about the other’s talents.

Asfur can gather ghost shadows, akin to a duplicate. But this is not without a cost; the more power given to the ghost shadow, the more power the self naturally loses.

Considering that this ghost shadow has gathered 70% of Asfur’s power, Edward’s gaze gradually became sharper.

"What, Edward, do you want to abandon your gentlemanly demeanor and fight me?" Asfur discerned Edward’s thoughts, showing no panic, and laughed.

"Speak up, what’s your purpose!" Edward snorted coldly, frowning as he asked.

"I came just to find someone!" Asfur’s eyes scanned over everyone, finally falling on Alexander, and he asked: "This gentleman, are you Mr. Charles?"

Charles?

Edward and Tony looked simultaneously towards Alexander, who scratched his head awkwardly: "Stage name, Charles is a stage name!"

The two ghosts suddenly realized, and Edward looked coldly at Asfur: "If your target is Alexander, then I can’t be courteous to you anymore!"

He was about to take action when two hands stopped him from behind.

"Why are you stopping me?" Edward asked, puzzled.

"I don’t know, but since they came for Alexander, they must not be enemies!" Tony answered honestly: "Besides, he doesn’t seem to have any malice!"

"What malice or no malice, that’s an enemy!" Edward shouted angrily, looking at Alexander: "Why are you stopping me too? He’s here to deal with you!"

"What dealing or not dealing, we’re all friends!" Alexander waved his hand, looking at Asfur: "You agree, don’t you?"

"Far from it, far from it!" Asfur shook his head repeatedly, bowing respectfully to Alexander: "Happy Apartment’s Shadow Slayer Ghost Prince Asfur, at your service, Mr. Charles. I bring greetings from the Flame King to you!"
