Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins

Chapter 332-Lost The Best One

Chapter 332-Lost The Best One

Lady Vivian:

I was still pretty shaken up from what had just happened.

Not only was I insulted at the lunch table, but then Lara shocked me when she made me look like an evil person in front of my son, and the fact that he believed it killed me.

And now my son wanted us gone.

I still could not understand why she had done that.

I thought she liked me.

I thought she cared for me.

And on top of that, of course, Kash did not believe me either.

He immediately took her side, and I watched her cling to my son as if she were mocking me.

I gently touched my head as I remembered how she had brutally attacked me, the way she grabbed my hair and pulled it. I was still in disbelief.

All my life, I had been treated with respect. This was the first time someone had shown me that I was practically nothing.

The disrespect was hard for me, especially the physical assault. Then I remembered how I used to treat Iris.

Wasn’t disrespect a lot for her too? Just because she was a young woman, I thought it would not be too much for her.

I know she had been caught in a worse scandal, but what if it came from the fact that we pushed her so far she just stopped loving my son too?

I mean, we did ruin their relationship by constantly challenging her peace of mind.

Tears streamed down my face, and I found myself reaching the second floor once more to confront Lara.

But Zoe arrived.

"What are you doing?" she asked me.

I turned to her and pouted.

"Have you not asked her too many times why she did that? She does not have answers for you," Zoe snapped at me.

"The truth is that this is how she has always been. Besides, she’s not even in her room. She’s in the kitchen preparing for dinner," she added harshly, reaching over to grab my arm.

"And you do not need to beg her to let you stay here. Enough is enough. She should not be treated with so much authority," Zoe complained as she started to drag me away from the door.

Zoe had walked me downstairs, and now we were sitting in the living room.

I had stopped crying by then because realization was finally hitting me.

"Why did she do that?" I asked Zoe again, my eyes still damp with tears.

"Don’t you understand now, Mother? She has always been this way. She was just using us to get to Kash," my daughter spoke softly.

I shook my head in disbelief. There was no way, no way we had been fooled for so long.

"Don’t just shake your head, Mother. Did you not see how she played us? Let’s say she was angry or whatever, but don’t you think the kind of lies she spun are not something just anyone could do? She is so cunning. She is so manipulative," Zoe complained.

My heart began to tremble at the thought of her slowly taking over my son’s mind.

At this point, I was shocked.

How had I not realized all that?

But on top of everything, she was now my son’s trusted mate.

And there was nothing, absolutely nothing, I could do or say to make my son change his mind.

At least I realized that much.

"We were rude. Mother, don’t you think we were rude too? We were rude to Iris," Zoe whispered.

Goosebumps prickled on my skin. I turned to her in disbelief.

"Maybe Lara is the worst person, but that does not excuse what Iris did. Don’t you remember how she was close with your husband and how she..."

As I began to explain, Zoe raised her hand to silence me, showing me her palm.

Then she took out her phone and played a video for me.

The video stopped my heartbeat.

I watched Lara standing with Markus in our fucking mansion, talking about how they were going to make a plan.

Markus would tell Iris that he was preparing a surprise for Zoe.

Iris would spend time with him, and eventually they would take her to a cabin.

They would make it seem like she had planned the whole thing to rape Markus, to sleep with him.

Everything said in the video left me so stunned that I had to place a hand on my head to steady myself.

Zoe noticed. She quickly picked up a glass of water and helped me drink it.

"What is that?" I asked, shaking as I pointed at the screen.

"That is Lara’s truth. Your favorite daughter-in-law’s truth," Zoe hissed.

Then she played another video. It was from a few minutes earlier, where Markus had been caught speaking with Lara.

Lara was telling Markus that she knew he had another mate who was pregnant, but she did not care what he did in his life as long as he took me and Zoe out of Kash’s mansion and out of his life.

All of that made me realize that Lara had never cared for us.

Otherwise, she would have come to me with this information so Markus could no longer fool my daughter.

Instead, she used it for her own advantage.

The reality was hitting me hard. All the years of my affection for her had led me to be very negative toward Iris.

Because from the beginning, I had wanted Lara as my daughter-in-law. And now it was happening.

"Oh, Moon Goddess," I uttered, placing a hand on my chest and rubbing it.

"We have punished an innocent person," I added, realizing what we had done.

It felt horrible, and I was terrified because Iris had been punished in the most frightening way, in the most brutal way.

we did not listen to her. We beat her, and then she was rejected.

"You need to tell your brother this. We need to fix our mistakes," I mumbled, breaking down.

All this time, Lara had convinced me that Iris was truly evil, that she did not care about my family, and that she only wanted my son for power.

But now I was realizing that the truth was completely different.

It was Lara who was the toxic one, and now I did not even know what to do.

An innocent girl had been punished in the most brutal way.

And we were still sitting here, unable to do anything. The thought alone was killing me.

"Zoe, give me this," I said, reaching for her phone.

However, she pushed it behind her back and shook her head. I was confused about what she was trying to do.

"No," she uttered, surprising me.

"I think we deserve it. We deserve to be punished in some way, because trust me, this is not enough. Just us getting a taste of our own medicine is not enough."

Zoe complained, shocking me with what she was planning to do.

She was going to let us take the fall for Lara’s games when she could easily show this video to Kash and prove that Iris was innocent.

At this point, I did not fucking care whether we were seen as innocent or not.

We had made a grave mistake, and an innocent woman had been punished.

The Moon Goddess was never going to forgive us for it.

"So you need to stop being stubborn. Kash needs to know that Iris is innocent. He needs to go and save her before it is too late," I begged my daughter.

She started to laugh at me.

"And seriously, you want me to believe that you’re doing this for Iris?"

I was shocked when my daughter spoke to me in that tone.

"No, Mother. I’m sorry, but I don’t think you will ever feel anything for Iris. And if I give you all that right now, it will only prove that we are still trying to prove our innocence because we are scared of getting kicked out. So no, I’m not doing that."

My jaw hung open when I heard Zoe deny it.

However, the truth was that even if I had shown the video to Kash, it would not change anything for us.

We still did what we did, and nothing could erase that.

I was only doing this because I did not want to delay.

I did not want Iris to stay in that prison any longer.

The longer she stayed there, the more it would prove that we were evil and that we had failed to give her justice.

"Zoe, open your eyes and see that someone is suffering," I snapped at her, reminding her of Iris’s suffering.

"Well, now you’re realizing it?" she looked at me with so much judgment that I lowered my head in shame.

A mother is supposed to lead by good example for her children.

But here I was, someone who had ruined everything for everyone around her, especially for my son.

I had stolen a perfectly nice mate from him and let him stay with a mate who was so clever that once she got rid of all of us, I wondered if she would get rid of Kash too.
