After Giving Birth, All My Beast Ex-Husbands Suddenly Want Me Back

Chapter 215: Meeting Zena

Chapter 215: Meeting Zena

Two guards stood on either side of the gate. Wrapped in her invisibility cloak, Nina walked straight past them without a sound.

She scanned the surroundings, then slipped into a narrow path hidden from the guards’ line of sight, intending to find a secluded spot to contact Odian and the others.

Ahead of her, Zena had already positioned herself along the route Sal and the others were likely to take.

"They’re coming," one of the Black Crow clan males reported.

Zena nodded. "You know what to do."

"We understand." The three males exchanged excited looks.

Zena was stunning, and under normal circumstances, they wouldn’t dare touch her because of her ability. But today, even if it was just an act, they could take advantage of the situation.

"Those males are strong," they reminded her. "Make sure you cover our escape."

Zena waved a hand dismissively.

Another performance of damsel in distress. She wondered whether those males would have the same restraint as the one from last night.

The three males stepped forward and grabbed her, roughly tearing at her clothes, ripping several places as they threw themselves into the act.

Zena sensed their filthy intentions. A cold glint flashed in her eyes as she memorized each of their faces.

Then she screamed, playing along perfectly. "Let me go! Help!"

The males’ eyes gleamed as they stared at her exposed skin, their hands roaming greedily.

Nina, still searching for a place to hide, suddenly heard the cry for help.

She turned toward the sound and saw three males assaulting a female.

Rage surged through her.

Without hesitation, she summoned her vines.

The attackers, already on guard, tried to dodge—but the vines wrapped tightly around them.

Before they could struggle free, a sharp, piercing pain struck their chests.

They looked down in disbelief.

Massive spikes had pierced straight through them.

Their eyes widened as they collapsed into pools of blood.

A flicker of satisfaction crossed Zena’s eyes.

They deserved it.

She quickly masked her expression, putting on a frightened, pitiful look, ready to thank her rescuer and win sympathy.

But the moment she looked up, she froze. She had expected to see the males she was targeting. Instead, she saw... a breathtakingly beautiful female.

Her carefully crafted expression fell away instantly. She stared at Nina, momentarily at a loss.

Why was it a female?

And... a female with abilities?

Could she be like her... someone who had made a deal with darkness?

Idir was also surprised. He lifted his head, studying Nina.

So she had abilities. And such powerful ones.

"Are you alright?" Nina asked, stepping forward with genuine concern.

Zena met her gaze. Those clear eyes held nothing but sincerity. That warmth felt like sunlight breaking into the cold, shadowed corners of her heart.

She paused before answering softly, "I’m fine... thank you."

Seeing that her clothes were torn and barely covered her, Nina quickly took out a fresh set of clothing and draped it over her shoulders, carefully tying it in place.

"Where do you live? I can walk you back."

Zena lowered her eyes, staring at Nina’s hands as they adjusted the fabric.

Since arriving in this city, others had only ever torn her clothes away. This was the first time someone had dressed her instead.

Even those who had "rescued" her before had never thought to cover her—only to strip her further.

She looked up at Nina, something soft flickering in her eyes.

Perhaps... only a female would think to do this.

No.

Only this naïve, kind-hearted female would.

And in a place like this, such kindness was dangerous.

Yet because of that... it felt all the more precious.

Zena suddenly remembered when she had first arrived in Barbarian City.

Because of her beauty, she had constantly been targeted by those disgusting males. Time and time again, she had cried out for help—only to be ignored. By males. By females.

She understood why.

In this chaotic, savage city, no one wanted trouble.

But even so, she couldn’t help but hate those hypocritical males.

As for the females... she could understand them.

They struggled just to protect themselves. How could they possibly help someone else?

Those with mates might live a little more securely. Those without... were no different from her.

Even now, though she had gained her ability, she could barely protect herself.

She understood.

But understanding didn’t stop the quiet resentment in her heart.

Zena pulled herself back to the present, suppressing her thoughts.

"My home is nearby. I can go back on my own," she said. "Little female, the Barbarian City isn’t safe. You should leave as soon as possible."

Then she suddenly remembered—the city had been sealed.

A flicker of concern crossed her eyes. "Or... come to my place first. I’ll think of a way to get you out."

This was the first being who had shown her genuine kindness. She wanted her to leave safely.

Her gaze shifted behind Nina. "Where are your mates?"

A trace of worry appeared in her eyes.

Could it be... she had none? Otherwise, why was she alone?

And with so many children... Young ones didn’t survive easily in a place like this.

"My mates will be here soon," Nina said calmly. "Once they arrive, I’ll take you home. It’s not safe for you alone."

This city was worse than she expected.

To think such things could happen in broad daylight.

If she had been exiled here back then... she might not even have dared to heal her face.

Hearing that Nina had mates, Zena relaxed.

"The city is sealed right now. No one can leave," she said. "But I might be able to find a way."

If she went to Yosan... perhaps she could convince him to let this female go.

Nina frowned.

So the city had already been locked down. That old monster had prepared more than she thought.

Could they force their way out?

Or... Should they take this opportunity to eliminate him completely?

But they still didn’t know enough about him. If he had other clones or hidden tricks, a direct confrontation could be dangerous.

Better to gather more information.

If they struck, it had to be decisive.

Just then, Sal and the others arrived.

The moment they saw Nina, they rushed forward, surrounding her protectively.

"Nina, are you alright? Are you hurt?" Sal asked urgently.

"I’m fine," she replied with a small shake of her head. "Don’t worry."

Her gaze swept over them. "Where’s Odian and the others? Why aren’t they with you?"

"We were being followed," Sal replied. "They went to draw them away."

"Were you followed on your way here?" Nina asked.

"The tails have already been dealt with," Aviel replied coolly.

Nina nodded. "The city’s been sealed. Can we still get out?"

She already knew the answer.

With their group being so large, if that old monster truly searched for them, hiding would only delay the inevitable.

If it came to a direct clash... they might not lose.

As long as they killed the witch master and the city lord first.

"For now, we can’t leave," Sal added. "The barrier is formed by a powerful witch array. We can’t break through it head-on."

"Then we’ll find a place to stay in the city first," Nina decided.

She turned toward Zena. "Let’s take her home first."

All eyes shifted to Zena.

Zena looked at the males, then at Nina.

Her emotions tangled.

The males she had planned to ensnare... were actually this female’s mates.
