After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic

Chapter 963: Did I Accidentally Kiss You That Day?

Chapter 963: Did I Accidentally Kiss You That Day?

It was indeed a risky move. After a moment of thought, he decided to give up searching for his backpack and sat down with her against a solid rock wall. The time in the darkness was extraordinarily hard to bear. Zoe Lewis hadn’t eaten much all day and spent most of the night looking for him. After more than ten hours, she was exhausted and fell asleep leaning weakly against Oscar Price.

When she woke up, it was still pitch black all around; Zoe Lewis almost broke down!

She suspected that she was really going to die.

Oh God!

What a disaster out of nowhere!

She angrily punched Oscar Price; it was all his fault! What a weird hobby, digging coal when in a bad mood—crazy!

Her fists carried no strength, and it didn’t hurt Oscar Price at all.

Oscar Price knew she must be cursing him in her heart right now, and he felt somewhat guilty himself.

It didn’t matter if he was buried, but implicating her made him feel guilty.

"Oscar, I’m dying..."

"Stop talking nonsense."

"Really, all I see are delicious foods I haven’t tasted yet, so many beautiful clothes I haven’t worn, I haven’t gotten my revenge, I don’t want to die... I still want to see Isabella’s baby. The last time I touched her belly, but the baby was too small, and there wasn’t much to feel."

A light bulb went off in Oscar Price’s mind, and he finally understood why Harry Hunter resented Zoe Lewis.

It turned out that Zoe Lewis didn’t hug Harry Hunter; she hugged Isabella Weaver and touched Isabella’s belly, which made Harry unhappy.

"Can’t you change your habit of touching and hugging people randomly?"

"I didn’t do that!"

"You’re still denying it, and you admitted you touched her belly."

"So what? Isabella’s a girl, and she’s pregnant. I was curious and touched her. What’s wrong with that? Isabella wasn’t unhappy; she agreed before I did it."

"And Oscar Price is a girl too?"

"He’s not, but he’s my brother, my blood cousin, and I just hooked his arm..." And placed a bug on him, that’s all.

Great, now buried in a mine, the bug was placed in vain. While she was not home to access her computer, she couldn’t hear anything.

Zoe Lewis was full of resentment, wondering if anyone was coming to rescue them. Mrs. Price should have received the news by now. Even if they didn’t save her, they should at least save Oscar Price!

Mrs. Price indeed had received the news. She and Mr. Price, frantic with worry, were above ground, seeking rescue experts and attempting to communicate with people inside the mine, yet to no avail.

If it were just her son trapped there, her pressure might not have been so immense.

But the small mine owner mentioned Zoe Lewis was also down there.

Mrs. Price simply couldn’t imagine how she could face Zoe’s parents, who raised their precious daughter to this age, only for one call to bring her to S City, where she ended up buried a thousand meters deep in a coal pile.

She would be haunted by it even in death!

Fortunately, Mr. Price was experienced in handling such matters. He found equipment to detect everyone underground had vital signs, with six people in total, including the workers, not one missing. This knowledge prevented Mrs. Price from fainting.

The mine was being reopened, several machines operating in rotation. Mr. Price estimated this time they should be able to rescue their son and daughter-in-law more smoothly than before.

But Zoe Lewis underground didn’t know this and remained in despair.

She felt her past twenty-something years had been utterly dull and thought she would live more wonderfully in the future, only to now face death unexpectedly.

She hadn’t even experienced her first kiss!

Last time, when she shared a tent with Oscar Price, did she accidentally kiss him or not?

Since she was entering death’s door, Zoe Lewis steeled herself and directly asked, "Did I accidentally kiss you that day?"
