After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic

Chapter 680: She Seems a Bit Silly

Chapter 680: She Seems a Bit Silly

Connor’s question went unanswered by Harry Hunter. No outsider could understand their feelings better than he did.

Harry held Isabella Weaver, seeing her face full of questions, his heart softened.

His little wife was so obedient, never causing trouble for him, without any scheming thoughts, not plotting against him, nor would she betray him.

Though she had her own little secrets, like the mysterious person texting her who could uncover countless details, evidently someone capable.

Harry couldn’t resist and lifted her onto his lap, held her fingers, kissed them softly, and said gently, "What do you want to know? I’ll tell you."

Isabella wanted to sulk and not talk to him, but she couldn’t hold it in; once he spoke, her anger dissipated.

"Connor and Natalie Niles..."

"Hmm, they’re together and will get married."

"No! Young Master don’t talk nonsense, I broke up with her!"

Connor immediately clarified. Initially, he was strongly impulsive to marry Natalie right away, but now he truly wasn’t planning to marry; he didn’t dare to! He was genuinely terrified by Natalie’s antics.

For a moment, Isabella didn’t know whom to believe, so she had to switch the question: "What happened to her eyes?"

Harry: "Blind."

Connor: "They’re fine now!"

Isabella: "..."

Forget it! Forget it! I won’t ask!

She was actually more curious about how Connor usually interacted with Natalie and wondered if Natalie genuinely liked him.

But those were Connor’s personal matters, not something she should probe into.

She hoped someone would love Connor; she once thought Cora Ginger suited him well, but unfortunately, they weren’t meant to be.

Natalie Niles... seemed too cunning, too scary.

But if she truly liked Connor, these issues might not be significant. Perhaps she could manage life for him and deal with those who bully him — like Zack Ginger, the rogue.

Isabella thought for a moment and took out a booklet from her bag, handing it to Connor: "These are new watches and jewelry from our company, not yet launched, very beautiful, maybe she’ll like them."

Connor chuckled bitterly, "Thanks, Young Madam, but I’ve already broken up with her, how could I still send her things?"

Isabella raised her wrist, "See my watch? It’s made by our company, but your Young Master won’t let me buy it; he paid for a couple’s set, one for each of us. Look at my bag, latest model, over two hundred thousand, he bought it too. He recently got a pink diamond; I wanted to design and craft it myself, but he disagreed. Mysterious as always, it’s unclear who he gave it to, asked someone else to design a ring for me."

As she spoke, she looked at Harry’s handsome face, her voice filled with sweetness, "Relationships need maintenance, not necessarily expensive, but definitely showing intention. Of course, the more expensive, the more striking. Mr. Hunter gave me another worth of a hundred million pocket money last month; how should I repay that? I can only be devoted!"

Harry’s demeanor was calm, "If I don’t give you a hundred million pocket money, you wouldn’t be devoted? Want to run?"

For the first time, Isabella openly kissed him in front of others: "I wouldn’t run even then. I married you not for money, can’t let you be taken by someone else!"

She turned to Connor, giving him advice, "You see, even if he doesn’t give me a penny or goes bankrupt tomorrow, I’d still like him. If you move Natalie’s heart, she might be the same; actually, women are quite foolish."

Connor wanted to say, Natalie wasn’t foolish.

But suddenly remembered Harry saying she went to the Ginger Family last night to demand that ten thousand, seemed a bit foolish too.
