After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic

Chapter 655: I’ll Prove It to You

Chapter 655: I’ll Prove It to You

Connor lowered his head, his voice very low: "I know."It’s just a pity that he liked him, but not quite enough.

Natalie Niles hugged him tightly, her voice tight as well: "I was wrong! I admit it! I’m not breaking up, Connor!"

Connor’s heart suddenly ached sharply, and he hugged her and cried.

But he was really scared.

Afraid that his existence would harm Harry Hunter, afraid that if he continued with Natalie Niles, he would truly become a bridge that she would use to break through Harry Hunter’s defenses someday.

Isn’t it the norm of life to love but not be able to get what you want?

He released Natalie Niles, pried her arms off him, stood up, and brought out the dishes and porridge from the kitchen.

"I didn’t expect this to be the last lunch with you. If I’d known, I would have made it a bit more extravagant."

Connor smiled at her faintly, as if breaking up was a very ordinary matter.

Natalie Niles’s expression turned cold: "Emmett Price, unless I’m dead, don’t even think about marrying anyone else! Breakup it is, like I’m scared of you! But try touching another woman and see what happens! I’ll kill her!"

Connor smiled bitterly, she really couldn’t stay good for long and so quickly revealed her true nature again.

But how could he possibly touch another woman?

Doesn’t she know how capable she is? She took away both his body and soul, what other woman could possibly catch his eye?

Isn’t it usually the girls who cry nonstop during a breakup?

She didn’t shed a single tear, instead he cried.

This seems a bit embarrassing.

Connor turned his head away, no longer looking at her.

But the next moment, her body clung to him from behind again.

He wanted to turn back and push her away, but just as he turned, she kissed his tear stains, and then in a rare soft voice said: "Don’t be sad, Connor, I won’t leave you. I’ll prove it to you, I will never step into that passage again."

Connor instinctively held her, asking in a low voice: "How much better are your eyes now?"

"Just a little."

"Tell me the truth!"

"Um...a little more than a bit, when I just woke up this morning it was a little, now my vision is even better."

"Liar, you can clearly see my tears, is this a little?"

"What if I say my eyes are better and you stop taking care of me?"

"You’re my girlfriend, who else would I take care of if not you?"

Natalie Niles’s eyes lit up: "We’re reconciled? Not breaking up?"

"Not reconciled, broken up. I mean before, you were my girlfriend."

Natalie Niles glared at him: "I am still now!"

Connor didn’t get tangled in this issue with her. When he said breakup, he wasn’t just saying it casually or to scare her.

He and she must separate.

He let her go, pulled out a chair and sat down: "Come over to eat, and leave when you’re done."

Natalie Niles’s face turned pale, the light in her eyes dimmed.

"I’m not eating."

She clutched her painfully aching chest and walked out, Connor hurriedly stood up, wanting to hold her but forcibly stopped in his tracks.

Natalie Niles turned back: "So cruel to me? Not coming to support me? Not begging me to stay? I say I’m not eating and you really don’t urge me to eat a bit? Want to starve me?"

Connor stood still without saying a word, looking iron-faced and impartial.

Natalie Niles walked back again, leaned against his chest, hugged his waist, and said in a low voice: "I might be bleeding internally again, it hurts so much, breathing is difficult."

"Didn’t you walk fine just now?"

"I was putting on a strong front."

"Still able to wander around the underground passage alone!"

"Oh, I’m hungry, let’s eat!"

Natalie Niles let go of him, smiled a bit, and just as she sat down on the chair, she suddenly spewed a mouthful of fresh blood and weakly fell from the chair.
