Chapter 568: A Box Laden with Secrets

Ji Weitian followed him with a flashlight in hand, staring blankly as she walked to the doorway and realized he had already gone in, and none of the room’s lights were on.

"The wardrobe has mats and clean blankets, go ahead and lay them out yourself."

Ji Weitian first went back to the living room to turn off its lights.

Then she entered her own room.

The lights in her room were on at this point.

But Qin Nanyu wasn’t making the floor bed. She looked around but didn’t see anyone until she noticed the bathroom light was on.

She paused for a moment, and as she approached, she heard the sound of running water.

After thinking it through, she realized Qin Nanyu had arrived quite suddenly today, dropped his luggage, and just lay down on the couch; it seemed he indeed hadn’t taken a bath.

So had he suddenly remembered, feeling dirty, and decided to take a shower?

Ji Weitian grumbled to herself but didn’t make a fuss about it. She turned her head, put the flashlight on the bedside table, and went to make the bed for Qin Nanyu.

It was also his good fortune.

Yaoyao was restless when she was little, often falling off the bed in her sleep. Concerned Yaoyao might hurt herself, Ji Weitian had no choice but to buy thick mats and blankets to lay out beside the bed before sleeping.

For a long period, whenever she woke up, she could only find her daughter on the floor bed.

It was just that this was the first time she had let a man make a floor bed beside her own.

It all felt so peculiar.

After Ji Weitian laid out the mat and turned to get a blanket, the bathroom door opened.

She only heard the door opening but didn’t see anyone come out.

A few seconds later, Qin Nanyu’s voice came from inside, "I forgot to bring a change of clothes. Could you take a set from my suitcase for me? All my clothes are in there."

It was a simple request, and Ji Weitian didn’t hesitate to agree.

When she opened Qin Nanyu’s suitcase and saw not only sleepwear but other items inside, her cheeks uncontrollably flushed with a hint of red.

Biting her lip gently, she started to regret so readily agreeing to his request.

If only she had known, she should have turned around, covered her eyes, and let him come out to get dressed by himself.

But to back out now would be even more embarrassing.

Ji Weitian steeled herself, closed her eyes, and with hands outstretched, grabbed all of his clothes, heading towards the bathroom.

Just as she reached the door, she knocked twice, not caring what Qin Nanyu might say, and stuffed all the clothes she was holding at him, "I don’t know which you want to wear, so I brought them all. You pick."

After speaking, just as she was about to turn around, Qin Nanyu suddenly snagged her collar, "Why is there no underwear?"

Ji Weitian: "..." !!!

"I couldn’t find them. Please wear your clothes and look for them yourself."

Ji Weitian flushed red, struggled free from his grasp, and without daring to look back, she ran to the wardrobe, pretending to be busy, seeing and hearing nothing.
