Abyss Sequence

Chapter 506 81: Whirlpool

Chapter 506 81: Whirlpool

Water!

Water everywhere!

In the deep sea, the immense ocean pressed down on Yan Luo from all sides, as if trying to crush his flesh into pulp and grind his bones to dust.

Unfortunately, this water pressure was still too weak.

Even the water pressure at ten thousand meters deep was not strong enough for Yan Luo now; without even using his magnetic field power, he could withstand it just with his body.

Typically, a Hunter entering the Undersea Abyss would immediately activate radar and sonar to check their surroundings, and the sensing system of the submarine they piloted had to be on at all times, even if it risked attracting the attention of Demons; the system couldn't be turned off.

The environment inside the Undersea Abyss was like the 'Dark Forest' described in a sci-fi novel from ten years ago. In this dark forest, everyone was both prey and Hunter; they couldn't tell what another person looked like when they met.

For this reason, they had to 'shoot first.'

But Yan Luo didn't need to do that.

His tremendous power was enough to conquer everything in this Abyss; even the strongest Demon in the Undersea Abyss was nothing before him.

For the past ten days, Yan Luo had been contemplating how to destroy this Abyss.

After deep thought, Yan Luo had a very clear answer.

—Vortex!

He planned to use his own power to create an enormous vortex capable of churning the entire Undersea Abyss, destroying not only the islands above the sea but also the underwater volcanoes and ocean floor below.

Only this way could the Abyss be completely destroyed.

Though doing this would inevitably affect the Master of the Abyss, Yan Luo believed that the Undersea Abyss's Master, the most powerful Demon in this Abyss, had the ability to survive in the vortex he created.

Said and done!

In the lightless depths, kilometers away from the sea surface, Yan Luo unleashed his magnetic field power.

A grand magnetic field, like an invisible hand, grabbed the massive ocean water, making the surrounding water rotate endlessly around him.

Once initiated, it wouldn't stop; it utilized the ocean's own energy to churn the whole Abyss!

The water around Yan Luo had turned into white foam, with oxygen slowly leaching out from the vortex's core.

However, this was only temporary; as the vortex expanded, the water at the core would be completely drained away, and then air would naturally rush in.

Besides, Yan Luo didn't require oxygen naturally like before; his power was more than sufficient to steal air from afar, enough to sustain his survival.

Conditions in outer space battles were far harsher than now, yet he could still overcome Roger, let alone this little vortex.

Yan Luo crossed his arms, standing tall at the vortex's core, channeling his power to stir the sea.

Ten minutes passed, and the vortex's diameter had expanded to a kilometer; the swirling current, akin to a water blade capable of grinding steel, could annihilate any life caught within.

After half an hour, the diameter expanded to five kilometers; after an hour, twelve kilometers; after three hours, forty kilometers; after six hours, a hundred kilometers...

The vortex expanded at a 'slow' rate, yet the acceleration continued incessantly.

After several days, the vortex would be capable of stirring the whole Undersea Abyss, dragging all Demons living within it toward the vortex's core.

The bigger the vortex grew, the more power Yan Luo consumed. However, after eighteen hours, the vortex surpassed a threshold and could maintain itself, dramatically reducing the power Yan Luo needed to expend.

If he maintained this scale, he could easily last for ten days to half a month.

But did he come here just to churn a single sea?

No, his goal was to destroy this Abyss!

So Yan Luo drove the magnetic field power to continue expanding the vortex.

After twenty-four hours: five hundred forty kilometers; forty-eight hours: twelve hundred kilometers; seventy-two hours: two thousand kilometers; ninety-six hours: three thousand kilometers; one hundred twenty hours: four thousand eight hundred kilometers!

Five days passed, yet the magnetic field-driven ocean water hadn't even covered half of the Undersea Abyss; the Abyss was enormous.

Yan Luo could already feel strain, as he hadn't yet achieved a strength beyond the Sequence, his magnetic field power amounting to only two hundred forty thousand horses.

To most people in this world, Yan Luo's strength was already formidable.

However, wanting to destroy an entire Abyss was still somewhat challenging.

Fortunately, Yan Luo wasn't a simple magnetic field expert; he was also a Saint.

Many Demons were caught up in the vortex, with most dying upon approaching the core, though some didn't.

These Demons were usually City-breaking Level; their bodies were tough, their survival capabilities strong, managing to cling to life even after being pulled into the vortex's core.

These Demons were Yan Luo's food, providing him with Magic Power to sustain the vortex.

With the generous contribution of these Demons, Yan Luo managed to churn the ocean ceaselessly for five days and nights with his magnetic field power.

No matter where the original center of the Undersea Abyss was, now where Yan Luo stood was the Abyss's absolute center.

Everything in the Abyss rotated around him!

Even City-breaking Level Demons wouldn't certainly be killed by the swirling vortex, let alone Catastrophe Level Demons.

They might even possess the strength to escape the vortex's grasp, but now, the whole ocean was affected by the vortex. Even at the Abyss's edge, the sea was being pulled toward the vortex.

If they didn't want to be dragged into the vortex, the Demons had to keep swimming without a rest.

Unlike the Demons, Yan Luo was able to stand firm at the vortex's core, replenishing his energy and magnetic field power by consuming the Demons, whereas the Demons needed to keep moving to find fleeting opportunities to prey on lesser Demons; if they missed chances, they couldn't feed, to replenish their waning energy.

Moreover, while also unable to rest, Yan Luo could stay alert with the support of Magic Power. The Demons couldn't.

This tug of war was inevitably Yan Luo's victory.

Not to mention the vortex kept expanding, destined to eventually fill the entire Undersea Abyss, tearing it apart completely.

Now it wasn't just Yan Luo maintaining the vortex's existence; the ocean currents of the Abyss itself were contributing, laying bricks and tiles, as time passed, the vortex's power grew stronger and more terrifying.

What Yan Luo needed to do was to utilize the magnetic field power to sustain the vortex while waiting for the prime opportunity to present itself.

Thus, another five days passed.

If one were to look down from above the Undersea Abyss, they would see this entire ocean occupied by the vortex, even the water at the Abyss's edge forming slow, curved arcs.

The flow of water at the vortex's core had become extremely violent; even titanium alloy thrown in would be ground to powder in no time.

City-breaking Level Demons couldn't withstand the water flow around the vortex's core, though Catastrophe Level Demons managed to conserve a breath or two as they entered the core, allowing Yan Luo to take a bite.

During these ten days at the Undersea Abyss, Yan Luo had already captured the Undersea Abyss's Master.

Just as he expected, the Master was a Catastrophe Level Demon, barely alive upon entering the vortex's core; yet Yan Luo didn't let it die. Instead, he used magnetic field power to heal it, keeping it in a state between life and death.

Yan Luo's purpose in coming to the Undersea Abyss this time was to confirm whether he could cause an Abyss's disappearance by destroying it without killing its Master. If the Master died, his plan would fail.

If the Master were to be revived and full of life, it would undoubtedly seek trouble with him.

Thus, the current state of the Master, between life and death, was optimal for Yan Luo.

It ensured his plan proceeded smoothly while preventing the Master from disturbing him or collapsing the vortex that had spread throughout the Abyss.

Yan Luo could sense that aside from the flying Demons in the Abyss's sky, apart from the Master, all other underwater Demons were dead.

The islands on the sea surface were devastated by the vortex, the ocean floor turned to tangled mess, and underwater volcanoes erupting actively.

The condition of the Abyss was now so dire, yet hadn't it reached the standard of 'destruction'?
