Chapter 462: Spirit Paradise

Chapter 562: Spirit Paradise

Leo was specifically going through the general description of the Ember Family. Apparently, except for the head of the family, only the direct line of descendants had the same hair colour, which was--

"Red..." He couldn’t help but feel a bad premonition forming at the back of his mind because Naelith had the brightest shade of red hair he had ever seen and that might catch the family’s attention.

But taking Naelith was also important because of the realm’s rich fire energy.

After digging a bit more, he found out that the head himself had been a Low 5-star individual a century ago. By now, he must be at Peak 5-star, if not 6-star. Well, at least that’s what the source material suggested; there was no confirmation.

"Such a slow rate of progression? Damn." Leo knew he shouldn’t compare others to himself or Lily, but a whole century for only 3 minor realm advancements?

"Did he get lazy?" he muttered, but then realised he himself might have hidden information about his strength, just like Leo did.

But little did Leo know, people would rather feign fake strength than hide it, just so actual stronger people wouldn’t try to suppress them.

By now, the time was almost 8 AM. Breakfast time.

So he simply took some souvenirs for Lily and headed back to the territory to fill his stomach.

He raised a brow when he realised the taste was a bit different from usual. Not bad, but there was a noticeable change compared to when the elves cooked the food.

Aeila, who was standing beside him, noticed his expression and spoke up.

"Lord, today the food was prepared by big sisters Naelith and Lyswenna. They aren’t exactly good cooks, so please share your thoughts so Big Sister Sylrael can assign a proper person who excels in cooking for the realm exploration."

Leo shook his head.

"No, this is fine. And it’s only 4 days of exploration. Tell her not to fret so much," he said. If needed, he could go over a week without food.

"No!" Aeila suddenly said in a slightly louder voice, catching Leo off guard.

"What happened?" he asked.

"I-I am sorry, that came out a bit loud. But My Lord, it’s natural—no, it’s the least expected from us—to take proper care of you and Miss Lily for providing us a good and safe place to live in. So please allow us to take care of the small things, so that you can focus on important matters," Aeila said, determination flashing in her eyes.

Since she was the main channel of [Spirit Link], through which people communicated mentally, she could choose to hear whichever conversations she wanted, so she naturally knew many things.

But the most important thing was that they were happy and comfortable. Sometimes she even felt that the elves were far more energetic and joyful than they had been in the Frozen Waterfall Secret Realm. And naturally, the credit went to Lily and Leo.

People who gave them a new life.

But most importantly, Leo, because he was the leader and had the final say. This was also the reason the elves were so nervous around him and did their best not to offend him, making them stutter and hesitate whenever any matter revolved around him.

It was so paramount for them not to displease Leo that Sylrael could be seen active on the communication channels almost all the time, micro-fixing any work assigned by him so that no slip-up would occur.

Even now, Sylrael was busy tutoring Naelith and Lyswenna on how to be a ’proper maid’.

"So, please let us do our job to the best of our capabilities," Aeila said softly.

"Well, if you all are so passionate about it, then I won’t say much. But still, it’s not that serious," Leo said as he stood up to finally head toward Lily’s location.

He took out his phone and checked her location.

"700 kilometres..." Leo muttered.

According to Lily, since she and Miho were spirit users, they needed an environment rich in mana. So Katherine had taken them to her personal secret location, where she used to train back in the day.

And since it was secret, naturally, Leo couldn’t call any fare service or Brok. He began considering taking Shyra for a ride.

"At full speed, and by interchanging Shyra and Nyxa, it would still take almost half a day... well, most of that would be because of the dense forest..."

"Should I ask Kaelion to send his Skyreave--"

Leo suddenly felt a presence approaching the territory. When he looked up, a figure was silently gliding toward him. Its massive wings flapped slowly, yet there was no noise at all. Silent like a deadly assassin cutting through the skies.

Woo-hoo-hooo...

Only when it voluntarily released a sound did Leo hear anything.

Tempest Wing Owl (Intermediate 4-star) [Spirit] - Super Bloodline

Leo immediately recognised it as Katherine’s owl. But now, its presence wasn’t as overwhelming as before. Compared to Leo’s current strength, it felt weak.

Leo could tell it was here for him, so he immediately climbed onto it, and the spirit beast took off toward Lily’s location.

Since the beast wasn’t particularly fast, it still took nearly 3 hours to reach the location. But the moment Leo took a step into the region, his senses were overwhelmed by the mana density.

"W-what in the world?!" Leo muttered as the mana density felt close to 5000% to 6000%, and his system sent so many prompts about countless natural treasures that he had to mute them just to clear his vision.

Blue Mist Flower - Low green-tier natural treasure

Mana Thistle - Mid green-tier natural treasure

Spirit Bamboo - Low blue-tier natural treasure

Raindew Fern - Low green-tier natural treasure

White Bark - White-tier natural treasure

Cedar Pulse - High blue-tier natural treasure

Vine Starcap - High green-tier natural treasure

Fungus Cloudroot - Mid blue-tier natural treasure

Herb Greenveil Bush - Peak green-tier natural treasure

Wherever he looked, mana-enriching natural treasures covered the land. And happily jumping around them were... tiny spirits...?

Mana Moth [Spirit] (Low 1-star) - Ordinary Bloodline

Spirit Flutter [Spirit] (Mid 1-star) - Ordinary Bloodline

Dewwing [Spirit] (Low 1-star) - Ordinary Bloodline

Mist Hopper [Spirit] (Peak 1-star) - Ordinary Bloodline

This entire area, spanning nearly 20 square kilometres, had been left untouched like a paradise for spirits.

But his eyes immediately located the most precious thing in the world to him—Lily.

And right in front of her was Hydra, but it seemed to be on the verge of advancing?
