Mu Yan woke up in pain early in the morning; her period came two days early.
Although she felt uncomfortable, she saw that it was already past nine, so she went downstairs.
Jiang Jingheng was sitting in the living room playing with his phone, and Yu Ma was busy in the dining room. When she saw her come down, she shouted, "Young Madam, good morning."
"Good morning, Yu Ma." Mu Yan nodded slightly.
Jiang Jingheng’s gaze shifted from his phone to Mu Yan, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, "You look so pale; didn’t you sleep well?"
Mu Yan instinctively touched her face and said, "I read the script for a while last night; I went to bed a bit late."
Jiang Jingheng’s frown deepened, "The schedule is tight?"
"No." Mu Yan shook her head, "I just couldn’t fall asleep, so I read."
Jiang Jingheng’s expression slightly relaxed, and he stood up to walk to the dining table, "Let’s have breakfast."
Mu Yan let out a sigh of relief, she couldn’t possibly tell him the truth, it would be too embarrassing.
However, she could tell he was concerned about her.

Jiang Jingheng looked up at Mu Yan, did it come early?
He stood up and walked to her side, asking, "Do you need to go to the hospital?"
"No need, it’s not that serious. I’ll be fine after some rest." Mu Yan smiled.
Yu Ma immediately said, "Wait a moment, I’ll go make you some red sugar ginger tea."
"Okay, thank you." Mu Yan thanked her.
Jiang Jingheng looked at Mu Yan, "I’ll take you back to your room to rest."
Mu Yan did not refuse and got up to go upstairs.
While going up the stairs, Jiang Jingheng supported her.
He frowned and asked, "Do you always have menstrual cramps?"
Mu Yan nodded, "Yes, I have cold uterus."
"How did that happen?"
"I heard from my mom that when I was little, I fell into water during the dead of winter; the water was very cold. After growing up, when others had their period, I didn’t. It was only after going to the hospital for a check-up that I found out it’s cold uterus." Mu Yan explained.
"You should still go to the hospital." Jiang Jingheng said in a stern voice.
"I don’t want to." Mu Yan directly refused, "I don’t want to drink those bitter herbal medicines."
Jiang Jingheng wanted to call her stubborn, but looking at her pale face and weak appearance, he ended up saying nothing.
In the bedroom, Jiang Jingheng helped her cover up with a quilt and said, "I’ll go downstairs to see if Yu Ma’s ginger tea is ready."
Mu Yan quickly said, "You don’t need to worry about me; go have your breakfast."
Jiang Jingheng said nothing but turned and walked out.
Mu Yan closed her eyes, hoping the pain would ease a bit; the first day of her period was always tough.
Downstairs, when Jiang Jingheng approached the kitchen, he saw Yu Ma chopping ginger, with water in a pot almost boiling.
He approached and said, "Let me do it."
Yu Ma looked at him in surprise, put down the kitchen knife, and left.
After lying down for a bit, Mu Yan received a call from Lin Jiamu.
He called to congratulate her on advancing and also to ask what song she would sing next.
Mu Yan endured the pain and said, "Don’t worry about me, just focus on your own work."
On the other end, Lin Jiamu finally noticed something off in her voice and asked, "What’s wrong with you?"
"I’m fine."
"Is it that time?" Lin Jiamu pressed.
Mu Yan wasn’t embarrassed, "It just started today, I’m resting in bed."
Lin Jiamu knew she had menstrual cramps, so she wasn’t evasive.
She noticed someone entering and looked up; it was Jiang Jingheng, holding a thermos cup.
Lin Jiamu advised, "Make sure you get plenty of rest and stay away from cold water..."
"The ginger tea is ready!" A slightly cold male voice interrupted.
The voice on the other end abruptly stopped.
