Chapter 883 The Last Mission: Meet Up.
Day Ninety-Three...
Monica arrived at the abandoned warehouse. She was immediately welcomed by Ramon.
"Madam! Are you alone?" Ramon asked her curiously.
"Yes, I am. Why?" Monica arched her eyebrow.
"You didn't bring your boyfriend?"
"That's none of your business!" She scowled at him. This guy was a little bit nosy.
"What's the update with your other mission? Did you manage to kidnap the child?" Monica talked to him with authority.
Ramon just scratched his face. "I asked my men to do it. They are still waiting for the right time to strike.
"You are so slow!" She narrowed her eyes on him. "Now bring me to Abigail!"
"This way, Madam." Ramon escorted Monica to the place where Abigail was being held captive. She was sitting on a chair, her hands and feet were tied together, immobilizing her.
"Helena?! What is the meaning of this?" Abigail pretended to be surprised when she saw her.
"Hello, Kitten," Monica said, grinning from ear to ear. She grabbed her chin, pinching her jaw tightly.
"Do you know why you are here?" Monica asked her tauntingly.
Abigail clenched her teeth. "What did I do? How did I offend you?"
"Hahaha! Sorry, Honey. It's not you who offended me. You are in this predicament because of your sister!" Monica replied. She wanted Abigail to hate Jane.
Abigail could only shake her head in disbelief. "How could you do this?"
Monica let out another chuckle. "Well. I have the power to do this. I can ruin your life and your sister."
"But don't worry. I only need you here to lure your sister."
Tatsumi, who was pretending to be Ramon, informed the members of the Phantom Assassin Guild that Monica had a deadly poison. They needed to take that poison away from Monica.
Everyone was wearing a hyper-realistic mask. Furthermore, they also used a voice changer device to alter their voices.
Monica was clueless that she was being surrounded by Jane's comrade. She returned inside, waiting for Jane's arrival.
Meanwhile, Jane had been monitoring Monica's movement on her phone. Several spying cameras were secretly installed in the different parts of the abandoned warehouse.
She was on her way to meet her.
"Monica has developed a deadly poison, similar to the one she used to kill Nathan. This time, she won't be able to harm my family." Jane clenched her fists.
She arrived at the warehouse without any weapons. This was part of Monica's demand. She just played along with her. Besides, she had twelve lovely angels and one strong guardian protecting her in the shadows– the Ladies from Phantom Assassin Guild, Hanabi and Tatsumi.
Monica clapped her hands as soon as she saw Jane entering the warehouse.
"You are finally here! You never disappoint me, Phantomflake." Jane just maintained her calm composure. "Where is my sister? Release her!"
Monica shook her head, wagging her forefinger in front of her.
"No! No! No!" She smirked slyly. "The show is about to start. Just be patient, Phantomflake."
After saying that, Monica gestured for Ramon to catch Jane and restrain her.
Tatsumi, who was immersed in his role as Ramon, charged forward, attacking Jane. She blocked his every punch. But suddenly, another group of men showed up, attacking her simultaneously.
Jane looked like she committed a mistake, two men capturing her from both sides. They grabbed her shoulders firmly in place, restraining her movement.
Monica laughed sardonically once more, satisfied with the men's performance. "Tied her now!" she commanded. Monica thought she had the situation under control. Tatsumi obeyed Monica's instruction and whispered to Jane, "Don't worry, my Lady. I won't let anything bad happen to you."
Jane simply smiled and nodded.
"Why are you smiling? Is there something funny?" She gave her a mocking gaze as she strode toward Jane.
"Oh right! It's so funny you got caught by my scheme. How does it feel to be in a helpless situation like this, Phantomflake. This time no one will try to save you."
Jane just shook her head. 'This woman is so arrogant. She thinks she has already won, but she's wrong. I'm the one holding her in the palm of my hand.'
