Monica wondered why Vincent didn't return to their hotel yesterday. Until now, she didn't know where he went. She kept pacing back and forth across her hotel room when her phone beeped. She checked it out only to find Vincent's message.
[ Babe, I can't go home. Something came up. I need to deal with a very urgent matter related to King Stallion. ]
Monica heaved a sigh of relief upon reading his message. She sent a reply.
[ Okay, Babe. Just make sure to finish everything as soon as possible. I miss you. ]
[ I miss you too. ] Vincent responded.
However, Monica was a bit disappointed. He didn't even call her.
"Anyway, I should focus on my task today!" She blurted out excitedly. She picked something inside the drawing– a small glass-bottled container.
"I have my weapons with me now. Haha. Let's deal with this bitch!" Without further ado, Monica contacted her men.
"Ramon, get ready. I'm going there today. Prepare the place." Monica grabbed this opportunity to confront Jane since Vincent was occupied with something.
"Okay, Madam. I'll set everything," Ramon responded obediently, reassuring her.
"Hire more men! This woman is dangerous. We should be more cautious when dealing with her." She reminded him.
"Do twenty people enough?" Ramon asked her.
"Yes. That will do. As long as we have the hostage. She won't dare make some reckless move. Just secure the hostage!" "Noted, Madam."
After talking to her men, Monica sent a message to Jane.
[ If you still want to see your sister alive, come and meet me alone. 9:00 pm sharp. I'll send you the address half an hour before our meet-up! ]
Jane was still enjoying her breakfast together with Ethan and Nathan when she received Monica's message.
'Hmm. So today is the day of our confrontation.' Jane thought to herself, a smirk forming on her lips.
The three of them were still sailing as they stayed overnight in the yacht. Axel remained the 'captain of the ship'.
Meanwhile, Nathan was observing Jane. He caught a glimpse of the text message she was reading. "Is there something wrong?" He softly asked her.
But Jane just shook her head, smiling.
"We need more manpower, sis. Monica wants to hire another ten more people." Black Rose relayed her phone call conversation with Monica earlier.
"Then count us in!" The door of the basement was pushed open. Jane and others were surprised to see the other members of the Phantom Assassin Guild.
"Ladies? Are you eavesdropping on our convo?" Mystique raised her eyebrow.
The ladies chuckled as they nodded.
"Yes. This will be our last mission together with our leader Phantomflake. She is retiring and leaving our guild, so we want to join this last mission with her. We will give her full support!"
"Please, Sis, allow us to join you! We're jealous because you only informed Mystique, Black Rose, and Iron Lady. Don't you trust our capabilities?"
Jane looked at her sisters in the Phantom Assassin Guild, feeling touched by their words.
"I'm sorry. I just didn't want to trouble you because I'm leaving the guild. I don't want to burden you with my personal problems," Jane apologized sincerely.
"But we are your family! Don't hesitate to ask for our help if you need us. We owe you our lives. If not for you, we wouldn't even be here," the ladies shared their sentiments with Jane.
After a while, Jane finally agreed. "Okay. Let's do this together for one last time. Thank you ladies for offering your help!"
"Yey! I'm so excited to do this mission with you. Let's capture that evil woman!"
Jane smiled helplessly. "Oh before that, I am also adding two more people to the team."
She grabbed her phone and video-called them.
"This is Hanabi... and the guy next to her is Tatsumi. They will join us in this mission."
"Hello, Ladies! Let's do our best!" Tatsumi greeted them.
"Oh! Finally! A gorgeous man is joining us!" Mystique blurted out and giggled.
"Oh right. He is the only guy among us. We are all ladies." Iron Lady chimed in.
"Hahaha! It's my honor to work with these beautiful ladies. Damn! I can't wait to see you all in person. Let–" Tatsumi didn't finish his words since Hanabi already covered his mouth, snatching the phone away from him.
"Ladies, please stay away from this madman. He is a pervert. Don't listen to him." Hanabi warned the Ladies of the Phantom Assassin Guild.
"Hey! You are ruining my image!" They heard Tatsumi's complaints.
Everyone just laughed at him.
"Alright. Let's start our meeting now." Jane grabbed their attention back. The moment she spoke, everyone behaved, including Tatsumi.
