Chapter 940: Ethan’s Latest Invention

"What?! Lady Jane has been kidnapped?!!" Tatsumi exclaimed.

"Ssshhh! Be quiet. Ethan and Mia might hear you. We don’t want the children to know." Mr. Kazuki said, giving his son a warning glare.

"Sigh! I knew it. Vincent can’t be trusted. He is the only person who could do this scheme. Let’s prepare our men and do a manhunt! We must save Lady Jane!" Tatsumi spoke again, lowering his voice.

Mr. Hiroshi remained silent, looking so serious. He already dispatched members of the Sawada Clan. He was waiting for their updates.

Dave and Abigail were still at the mall, reviewing the CCTV records.

Meanwhile, Old Man Xu summoned Butler Li to the mansion. Just like Tatsumi, everyone was suspecting Vincent as the mastermind behind Jane’s sudden disappearance.

"Butler Li, where is Vincent right now! Jane has gone missing. He might be the one who took her away," Old Man Xu said in his accusing tone.

Butler Li frowned upon hearing that. "He already promised not to cause trouble."

Part of him wanted to believe that Vincent had nothing to do with Jane’s sudden disappearance.

"But, he is the only person who has a motive to do this?! He is obsessed with Lady Jane," Tatsumi retorted.

Butler Li fell silent for a moment. He didn’t know where to find Vincent right now.

It didn’t take long before someone entered the house. To everyone’s surprise, Vincent showed up in front of them.

"What the hell is he doing here?!" Tatsumi clenched his fists.

He was about to attack Vincent when Mr. Kazuki immediately stopped him.

"Just stay put. Let our clan leader deal with him," he whispered to his son.

’What’s going on here? Why are they staring at me like that?’ Vincent pondered to himself, sensing the heavy tension in the atmosphere.

Mr. Hiroshi was giving him a deathly look.

"I’m here to fetch Mia," he said, informing everyone.

Everyone remained silent, staring at him suspiciously.

It was Butler Li who stepped up, breaking the silence.

"Did you kidnap, Miss Jane?" He confronted his nephew.

A deep crease formed on his forehead. "Kidnap Jane? What are you talking about? Has she gone missing?"

"Stop denying it!" Tatsumi butted in.

Unable to control himself, he charged in Vincent’s direction, grabbing him by his collar. "Speak now! Where is she?"

Vincent’s expression turned ashen. "I already reconciled with Nathan and Jane. Why would I do that? I just came here to pick up my daughter. Why are you all accusing me?!"

"This is so unfair! I thought you’d already forgiven me?" Vincent asked his father directly.

Old Man Xu didn’t know what to say.

"If not you, then who would dare take her away in broad daylight?" Tatsumi spoke again, still insisting that Vincent was the one who did it.

"I don’t know. Am I the only one who hates this family?" Vincent felt a little bit hurt and disappointed.

When he was trying to correct his mistake and redeem himself, he suddenly became a suspect again.

"Do you distrust me this much?"

The arguments downstairs caught Mia and Ethan’s attention. They quickly stepped out of the playing room to check what was happening in the living room.

"Dad!" Mia called out as soon as she saw Vincent.

Without further ado, Mia ran downstairs, approaching her father.

"Why is there a commotion here, Grandpa? What’s going on?" Ethan finally noticed that something was wrong.

Everyone fell silent. They didn’t know how they would tell the kids that Jane was kidnapped.

Ethan folded his arms over his chest while raising his eyebrow.

"Why is everyone so quiet? Are you hiding something from us? Tell us what is happening? Why is Uncle Tatsumi fighting with Uncle Vincent?"

Hearing Ethan’s words, Tatsumi quickly released Vincent’s collar.

"Sigh. We can no longer hide this from them. My grandson is very smart. He can easily pick up on the situation," Mr. Hiroshi said, approaching his grandson.

He crouched down and grabbed his shoulders while looking him in the eyes.

"Grandson, listen. You have to calm down once you hear this..." he paused for a moment.

Ethan just nodded, waiting for his grandpa to continue his sentence.

"Your mother has gone missing. Someone took her away. We are currently searching for her."

There was a moment of silence. Everyone expected Ethan to overreact and express his deep concern for his mother.

However, Ethan maintained his calm expression, blinking in amusement as he looked around him.

"Eh? Did he understand what our Clan Leader had said? Why didn’t we get negative reactions from him? Is he too shocked to react?" Tatsumi asked his father in a low voice.

It did not take long before Ethan let out a soft giggle, shocking everyone.

’Why is he laughing? Has he gone mad from this traumatic event?’

"Grandpa, look!" Ethan showed them his electronic bracelet.

Everyone looked at him in confusion.

"What is that, grandson?" Old Man Xu chimed in.

"Through this device, I can track my parents’ locations. They are also wearing this bracelet. It’s my latest invention!"

"As you can see... My Mom is with my Dad right now!" He pointed out the two red dots.

Everyone was at a loss for words. Were they worrying for nothing?!

Seeing their different reactions, Ethan just laughed once more.

"Have you all forgotten? My Dad is going to propose today. He prepared a surprise for my Mom."

Everyone: "..."

"You still don’t believe me, do you?" Ethan’s eyes sparkled in delight. "Come with me upstairs. I’ll show you. We can watch his grand proposal together!"

"I think it’s about time. He is already on the move," he added excitedly.

"Grandson, wait! Is it really okay to spy on your parents like this?" Mr. Hiroshi asked him reluctantly.

Ethan just patted his grandfather’s hand. "Don’t worry, Grandpa. My father gave me permission to watch his wedding proposal. In fact, he wanted us to witness everything."

"He didn’t allow me to join him because he wanted to be with my mother alone. Besides, he won’t be able to concentrate if we were there."

Everyone finally felt relieved upon hearing that.

"Oh. I’m sorry for suspecting you. You can punch me now!" Tatsumi quickly apologized to Vincent.

"Yes. We apologized for treating you like that..." Mr. Hiroshi also spoke up.

Vincent remained quiet, feeling a little bit awkward. He didn’t expect them to apologize right away.

This time, Ethan approached Vincent, holding his hand. "Uncle Vincent, come and join us. You are part of this family."

At that moment, a subtle smile flashed on Vincent’s face. "Alright. I’ll stay for a while."

"Yey! Let’s go! I want to see Uncle Nathan’s surprise for Mommy," Mia said enthusiastically, holding Vincent’s free hand.

Everyone went upstairs, where Ethan prepared a large screen. It turned out he had been arranging things in the playroom while the rest were panicking downstairs.

Butler Li couldn’t help but feel emotional to see Vincent mingling with the family. The family had finally accepted him.

"I’m so happy for him. The world is healing... This is a new start for my nephew. No more hatred..." Butler Li murmured as he followed them from behind. He was also eager to watch this long-awaited wedding proposal.
