Chapter 936: Drop the Bomb!

At Sparks Family Mansion…

Nathan immediately hugged Jane from behind upon seeing her in the living room.

"How did it go?" He whispered before kissing her hair.

"We've already settled things with the Red Dragon Mafia. I'll tell you more in a while. For now, let's join my father and others. They are already in the front yard."

Nathan nodded. "Alright, let's go."

He held her hand as he gently guided her outside.

"Mommy!"

Both Ethan and Mia called out.

As promised by Vincent, Mia stayed in the Sparks Mansion before going back to Vincent's home country.

Mia continued calling Jane her 'Mom'.

Jane crouched down to hug and kiss the two kids.

"Sorry for keeping both of you waiting for too long," she apologized.

"It's okay, Mom. We don't mind it," Mia replied, hugging her right leg.

Ethan could only smile as he watched the two. Deep down, he had already acknowledged Mia as his younger sister.

Even though Vincent chose to keep a secret about how Mia was conceived through In Vitro Fertilization, Jane and Ethan still considered Mia part of their family, with or without blood relation.

The four of them were still talking when Mr. Hiroshi and the Yan Family Members joined them.

"Jane, my granddaughter. I'm so happy that you recovered quickly," Old Master Yan said affectionately as he held her hand.

"Grandpa, I'm sorry for making you worry. You have to take better care of yourself, too."

Madam Priya, Jane's Aunt, also spoke up with concern. "You should stay away from those dangerous things. The Yan Family will keep you safe!"

Mr. Hiroshi immediately cleared his throat. He could somehow feel that the members of the Yan Family were still blaming him for his failure to protect Jane and his grandson, Ethan.

"I swear… this won't happen again. I will die first before someone touches my daughters and my grandchildren," Mr. Hiroshi said, reassuring them.

Madam Priya and Old Master Yan stared at him, observing him intently.

Nathan and Jane exchanged glances with one another as they could feel the rising tension among their elders.

"Pa, Grandpa, Auntie… this is our first family gathering. Let's forget about those bad things. We are here to celebrate, remember?" Jane finally intervened to lessen the tension in the atmosphere.

Fortunately, Ethan and Mia also made their moves, diverting the attention of their elders.

It did not take long before they reached the long dining table, prepared in the front yard of the mansion.

Old Man Xu, Nathan's father, made sure to entertain the members of the Yan Family, pacifying them from blaming Mr. Hiroshi.

In the end, everyone had reconciled. Their family and friends were gathered together to celebrate the fast recovery of Jane, Nathan, and Ethan.

After sharing a sumptuous meal, Nathan stood up, gathering everyone's attention.

"Ahem… May I have your attention, please. I have some announcements to make," he started, fixing his gaze on Jane, who was sitting next to him.

Jane looked at him in puzzlement. She had no idea about Nathan's announcement today. She also felt intrigued.

"What is this all about?" Jane whispered, tugging his hand.

But Nathan just gave her a meaningful smile.

"Listen to me. I have some good news to share."

Aiden tapped Stephen beside him. "Hey, do you think he is going to propose to Jane now?"

Stephen shrugged his shoulders and replied, "I don't think so. Nathan prepared a place for his wedding proposal. He is not going to propose here. Maybe he has another good news to share with us. Let's wait and listen to his announcement. I bet… this is another pleasant surprise."

Aiden nodded upon hearing that. However, a sudden idea came to his mind.

Before Nathan could say another word, Aiden quickly raised his hand and said, "Wait, Nate. I also have some announcements to make! Allow me to do it first!"

Nathan furrowed his eyebrows when Aiden interrupted him. But since he was in a good mood today, he allowed Aiden to speak first.

"Okay. You can tell us first."

Everyone shifted their attention from Nathan to Aiden.

Aiden smiled broadly before clearing his throat. He stood proudly and made his way to Cherry's chair.

Cherry had the urge to facepalm the moment Aiden grabbed her hand. She felt so embarrassed after getting everyone's attention.

'Damn. What is he trying to do here?' Cherry wished to dig a hole and hide herself at this moment.

"Cherry is now my girlfriend!" Aiden declared to them proudly, his eyes sparkling with delight.

*Moment of complete silence.*

Everyone was shocked at his sudden announcement, most especially Nathan and Stephen. They didn't expect that Aiden would be able to get a Yes" from Cherry today. They were just talking about her earlier.

"Congratulations, Uncle Aiden, Aunt Cherry!"

Ethan's voice broke the silence. Mia also supported him by clapping her hands while cheering for the new couple.

Jane also laughed, lightening the atmosphere. After recovering from the shock, everyone congratulated the new couple.

Cherry could only smile at them while pinching Aiden's thigh. She punished him for stealing the spotlight.

"Thanks, Buddy. Now, let's hear your announcement!" Aiden quickly passed the spotlight back to Nathan.

"Are we going to hear some wedding bells soon?" Abigail said teasingly as she winked at Nathan and her sister, Jane.

Nathan chuckled to mask his anxiousness. His surprise proposal would happen tomorrow, not today. However, Abigail suddenly brought it up.

'Don't talk about it now, Sis-in-law. Let's reserve that for tomorrow,' Nathan thought to himself, smiling awkwardly.

"Hmm. In fact, this is about Jane…"

"Me? What about me?" Jane asked in confusion, pointing her finger at herself.

Jane started to think that Nathan might be planning to propose today as well.

'Is he going to ask me to marry him in front of everyone?' she asked herself, anticipating Nathan's next words.

Mr. Hiroshi and Old Man Xu were also dying to hear what Nathan was about to say.

"Dad! Come on! No more suspense. Just tell us already!" Ethan urged his father as he felt a little bit impatient.

Nathan smiled broadly, placing his arm around her waist. Without further ado, he made his announcement.

"Jane and I are expecting another baby! She is pregnant!"

Jane: "..."

Everyone: "..."

Nathan finally dropped the bomb, shocking everyone– most especially Jane!
