Zombolution: Unleash the Undying Power

Chapter 52: Ophelia’s Bionic Suit

Chapter 52: Ophelia’s Bionic Suit

Zorvax turned to Ophelia with a determined look. "Let’s go hunt some more zombies and humans. We need more zombie points," he said, his voice clear and devoid of any hesitation.

Ophelia, standing beside him, nodded in agreement. Her face was calm, her eyes bright with the thrill of the hunt. "Yes, let’s go," she replied simply, her tone matching the simplicity of her nature.

Together, they set out into the desolate landscape, moving with a purpose that was undeterred by the ruins that surrounded them. Their strides were confident, the silent communication between them a testament to their shared experiences.

It didn’t take long before they encountered a group of level 2 zombies shuffling aimlessly through the debris of a shattered world. The zombies were oblivious to their approach, their groans a discordant soundtrack to the destruction they wandered through.

"These ones are worth 100 to 700 points each," Zorvax said quietly, observing the undead before them. "Let’s clean this up quickly."

Ophelia nodded, readying her weapon, a newfound sharpness in her eyes. They weren’t like these mindless creatures; they had evolved, become something more, something dangerous.

The battle was swift, almost methodical. Zorvax and Ophelia moved with lethal precision, their enhanced bodies making short work of the level 2 zombies. Zorvax’s bionic suit made him a juggernaut on the battlefield, his movements fluid and devastating.

Ophelia, too, showed her new prowess. The elements seemed to bend to her will, aiding their assault with bursts of fire and gusts of wind that left no chance of retaliation.

As the last of the zombies fell, the silence returned. Ophelia looked over at Zorvax, her expression one of satisfaction. "That was easy," she said, a smile touching her lips.

Zorvax gave a curt nod, his face impassive but his eyes revealing a glint of approval. "With the bionic potion and the suit, we’re more than a match for these lower-level zombies."

He looked out over the horizon, his mind already calculating their next move. "Now, we need to find some humans, the ones worth more points. They’ll be tougher, but the reward will be greater."

Ophelia’s smile faded, replaced by a solemn nod. "We’ll find them," she said with confidence, her simplicity unmarred by the complexity of their quest.

The duo continued on, leaving the fallen zombies behind. Their path was one of survival and accumulation, each battle a step toward their next evolution.

As Zorvax and Ophelia continued their hunt across the forsaken landscape, the points they gathered from each fallen zombie began to add up quickly. It was a straightforward task for the two enhanced beings, taking down level 2 zombies with ease.

"We’re accumulating points faster than I anticipated," Zorvax remarked, a note of satisfaction in his voice as they took a brief moment to rest.

"Yeah, it’s like they’re just... waiting for us to pick them off," Ophelia added, her voice light but with an edge that hinted at her evolved capabilities.

In no time at all, they had collected another 5000 zombie points. "With these points, I can get you a bionic suit as well," Zorvax stated, already accessing the shop through the system interface.

Ophelia watched, a ripple of excitement passing over her features. "Really? That would be incredible," she said, the idea of becoming even more powerful clearly appealing to her.

The purchase was made, and a second bionic suit needle materialized. Zorvax, with a practised hand, administered the injection to Ophelia, who braced herself, knowing to expect the same sensations Zorvax had described.

The transformation was nothing short of extraordinary. As the bionic suit’s essence melded with Ophelia’s biology, her eyes closed, her head tilted slightly, and a serene expression painted her face. It was as if she was absorbing the essence of the suit, her body becoming a vessel for the advanced technology.

Her eyelids fluttered open, revealing eyes that sparkled with renewed vitality. "I can feel it... it’s amazing," she breathed out, her voice a mixture of awe and delight. She looked down at her hands, turning them over, her fingers curling into fists and stretching out, feeling the burgeoning strength courting them.

Zorvax watched, his usual stern demeanor giving way to a semblance of pride. "Now, let’s see what that suit can do for your weaponry," he said, motioning towards the guns she had set aside.

Ophelia picked up her firearms, and they, too, began to transform under the influence of the suit. Microscopic machines swarmed over the guns, reinforcing and refining the metal, sharpening the firing mechanisms, and embedding new capabilities into the very core of the weapons.

"Try to channel your element manipulation into the guns," Zorvax instructed, his voice steady, betraying none of the curiosity that flickered in his eyes.

Ophelia concentrated, her brow furrowing in focus. The air around the guns crackled as her powers responded, a soft luminescence enveloping the barrels. Elements whirled and coalesced, fire, water, and wind becoming tangible extensions of her will.

"It’s so much easier," she observed, her usual simplicity laced with a hint of satisfaction. The strain she once felt when summoning her powers was noticeably absent, her abilities now as fluid as breathing.

"Good," Zorvax acknowledged, his lips curving into a smile that was as much about their improved prospects as the suit’s success. "Your offensive capabilities have increased significantly. The suit has indeed synergized well with your powers."

With their new strength, they tested the full range of the suit’s integration. Ophelia fired her guns, and the bullets now encapsulated with her elemental magic, each shot a dance of enhanced destruction.

Water bullets hit their targets with the force of a crashing wave, wind bullets sliced through the air with a howl, and fire bullets left a trail of searing heat that ignited the very air.

With both of them now outfitted in their bionic suits, the world seemed to open with new possibilities. Zorvax’s mind turned towards their next objective, his strategic nature always looking ahead.

"We should consider targeting stronger adversaries," he suggested his tone serious but filled with a newfound eagerness. "Bionic humans, perhaps, or even higher-level zombies. They will give us more points and a chance to test our new strengths truly."

Ophelia’s expression hardened with resolve, mirroring Zorvax’s determination. "Let’s do it. I’m ready for a bigger challenge," she said, her simple innocence now tempered with the confidence of a seasoned fighter.
