Zombolution: Unleash the Undying Power

Chapter 181: Draconian Zombies

Chapter 181: Draconian Zombies

In the heart of the Citadel’s grand hall, the cocoon, pulsating with dark energy, finally began to crack. A hushed silence fell over the room as everyone watched with bated breath.

From the cracked cocoon, the new soldiers emerged, their bodies larger and more formidable than before. Their scales glistened blacker and shinier, resembling Grymlok’s own impressive armor. Unlike the typical undead, these creatures bore no resemblance to zombies; they looked more like fearsome, living warriors.

Zorvax observed this transformation, his expression calm yet thoughtful. "It appears that beyond Tier 3, our soldiers and sergeants lose their zombie-like appearance," he mused aloud. "Only we, the leaders, retain the grey skin characteristic of zombies, though without the decay of lesser undead."

Ophelia, standing beside him, nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! It’s like we’re evolving past the usual zombie stuff. These guys look super tough now, not like your average brain-eaters."

Drakina, ever the stoic observer, simply gazed at the transformed soldiers. Her face was an impassive mask, but her eyes betrayed a hint of approval. "Strength and appearance are evolving. It is a significant development," she stated, her voice as calm and steady as ever.

Zorvax turned to the new soldiers, examining them closely. "Your transformation marks a new era in our ranks. You are no longer mere zombies; you are now a superior breed of warriors."

The transformed soldiers stood tall, their new form radiating strength and confidence. The lack of traditional zombie features made them look more intimidating, a perfect reflection of the power they now possessed.

Ophelia circled around them, her eyes wide with curiosity and excitement. "Look at those scales! So shiny! And those muscles, wow! You guys are going to be amazing in battle!"

Drakina remained silent, her focus on assessing the tactical advantages their new form could bring.

Zorvax nodded, pleased with the outcome. "With these evolutions, our army grows not just in strength, but also in stature. We are becoming something entirely new, something more than what we were."

He then turned to the Zombolution system, the screen casting a ghostly light in the dim chamber. He was about to review the new abilities of his Draconian Zombie soldiers.

[Race: Draconians Zombies]

[Position: Soldiers]

[Tier: 3]

[Abilities:]

[1. Zombie Body]

[2. Dark Flame Breath: The soldiers can now unleash a powerful, dark flame upon their enemies. This flame is not only hotter than normal fire but also imbued with dark energy, causing debilitating effects on those it touches. It serves both as a weapon of destruction and a tool to weaken the enemy forces.]

[3. Berserker: This ability transforms pain into power. The more injuries a soldier sustains, the more their strength and ferocity in combat increase. This makes them particularly dangerous in prolonged battles, as their fighting capability escalates with every wound they receive.]

---

A subtle smile played on Zorvax’s lips as he read through the abilities. "The Berserker ability paired with the Zombie Body is an excellent combination," he mused. "The more injuries they sustain, the stronger they become, yet due to their undead nature, they’re immune to the fatal consequences these injuries would have on others. And with the pain buffer, their power will only escalate."

Around him, the newly transformed Draconian Zombies stood in silent formation, their eyes gleaming with a fierce, undead light. They were no longer mere foot soldiers; they had become formidable warriors, each one radiating an aura of dark strength.

"Furthermore, the Dark Flame Breath adds a significant advantage to our arsenal. A flame that not only burns but also weakens the enemy is a powerful tool," Zorvax continued, his gaze sweeping over his new army.

The Draconian Zombies flexed their newly formed muscles, testing their enhanced bodies. Some breathed out small tendrils of dark flame, marveling at the power they now possessed. The sight was both intimidating and awe-inspiring.

Zorvax stepped forward, addressing his army with a commanding presence. "You have been reborn into a form far superior to your previous selves. Your abilities are not just for battle, but a symbol of our evolving strength. Use them wisely and fiercely."

The soldiers responded with a unified, guttural growl, a sound of acceptance and readiness. Their bodies, larger and more imposing than before, stood as a testament to the power Zorvax had bestowed upon them.

Zorvax turned his gaze to Ophelia and Drakina, who were awaiting his orders with differing expressions of eagerness and stoicism.

"Ophelia," Zorvax began, his voice even and deliberate, "I want you to take Blackie and his armies out. It’s time to expand our forces further."

Ophelia’s eyes sparkled with excitement. "You got it, boss! This is going to be a blast! Plus, it’s the perfect chance to test out our new and improved army," she replied with a wide grin, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm.

Zorvax then shifted his attention to Drakina, whose expression was as unreadable as ever. "Drakina, you will also take Grymlok and his troops. We need more soldiers, more strength."

Drakina gave a firm nod, her voice reflecting her unwavering resolve. "Understood. It shall be done," she said succinctly, her stoic demeanor unshaken by the task at hand.

Zorvax continued, "This time, you will head to different locations. Diversify our recruitment to enhance the army’s capabilities."

Both Drakina and Ophelia acknowledged with nods, their reactions reflecting their distinct personalities – Ophelia’s nod was enthusiastic and quick, while Drakina’s was slow and measured.

As they turned to leave the hall, Zorvax’s voice echoed once more, "I am curious to see the kind of armies you will bring back this time."

With that, Ophelia dashed out of the hall, her steps light and swift, clearly excited about the mission. Drakina, on the other hand, moved with purposeful, measured strides, her focus evident in her every step.

Zorvax watched them go, then slowly walked back to his throne. As he sat down, he leaned back, his fingers steepled in front of him. His eyes, sharp and calculating, reflected the thoughts running through his mind about the future of his army and the impending expansion of his dominion.
