Chapter 121: System Shop

Chapter 121: System Shop

Ophelia, her brows knitted in concentration, gazed thoughtfully at the list of evolution paths for Blackie. "So many choices," she murmured, the complexity of the decision evident in her voice. "Each one could change Blackie’s abilities in such different ways."

Zorvax, standing close to her, gave a slow nod of agreement. "True, the variety of paths offers a range of possibilities. Let’s delve into the specific requirements for each evolution. It might give us a clearer picture," he suggested, his eyes intently fixed on the screen as he reactivated the system interface.

As Zorvax methodically scrolled through the evolutionary options for Blackie, Ophelia leaned in closer, her interest clearly piqued. She peered over his shoulder, her eyes moving rapidly as she tried to absorb every detail on the screen. Her posture was one of keen interest, indicative of her deep involvement in the decision-making process.

"These two paths – the Shadow Wolf Zombie and the Elemental Wolf Zombie – seem to be the most challenging," Zorvax noted, his voice tinged with a sense of curiosity and challenge. "Typically, the more demanding the requirements, the stronger the evolution."

Ophelia’s eyes remained glued to the screen, her brows furrowed in concentration as she processed Zorvax’s words. "That narrows down our options considerably," she mused aloud, her tone reflective. "Between the Shadow and Elemental paths, which would be the optimal choice for Blackie?"

Zorvax paused his scrolling, turning to face Ophelia with a contemplative expression. "What do you think, Ophelia? Which path aligns best with Blackie’s capabilities and our needs?" His question was sincere, valuing her input in the decision.

Ophelia took a moment, her eyes drifting upwards as she pondered the question. She brushed a strand of hair away from her face, a thoughtful gesture that underscored her contemplation. Finally, she spoke, her voice calm and considered. "Looking at Blackie’s distinct black fur, the Shadow Wolf Zombie evolution seems like a natural fit. It could enhance his inherent traits, making him a more potent ally."

Zorvax’s expression grew thoughtful as he absorbed her reasoning. His gaze lingered on Blackie for a moment before returning to Ophelia. "So, you’re suggesting that his physical characteristic, the black fur, might be an indicator of a deeper affinity for the Shadow Wolf path?" he asked, seeking clarification and delving deeper into her reasoning.

Ophelia nodded, her gaze firm. "Exactly. It’s not just about appearance. Blackie’s fur could indicate an innate connection to the shadow element. This could make the Shadow Wolf Zombie evolution more effective for him."

Zorvax, now standing upright, crossed his arms, a gesture indicating he was mulling over her words. "That’s an interesting perspective. Aligning his evolution with his natural characteristics could indeed yield a stronger bond with the shadow element," he said, his tone reflective of his agreement.

He then uncrossed his arms and smiled, a sign of his decision. "Let’s proceed with evolving him into a Shadow Wolf Zombie," Zorvax declared, his tone carrying a sense of finality and excitement about the choice.

Ophelia returned the smile, her eyes reflecting her enthusiasm. "I think it’s the right choice. Blackie will become even more powerful," she responded, her voice tinged with anticipation.

Zorvax then turned his attention back to the system interface, checking the requirements for the Shadow Wolf Zombie evolution. "We’ll need 5 Tier 3 black cores and 5 Tier 3 white cores for this evolution," he noted, his brows furrowing slightly as he considered where to acquire these resources.

After a brief pause, Zorvax’s expression brightened with an idea. "Let’s also take a look at the system shop. We haven’t checked it in a while, and it might have what we need for Blackie’s evolution."

Ophelia, sharing in Zorvax’s interest, peered intently at the screen. "I’m curious to see what’s available. Especially the Tier 3 items," she remarked, her tone reflecting her curiosity and eagerness.

As Zorvax navigated to the system shop, a detailed catalog of items appeared on the interface, each meticulously categorized and priced. The list read like a well-organized database, designed for easy access and selection:

Zorvax’s attention was fully absorbed by the items listed in the system shop, his eyes moving methodically across the screen. He leaned in closer, his brows slightly furrowed in concentration as he took in the extensive array of items now available.

"There have been a lot of changes here," Zorvax remarked, his voice laced with a hint of surprise. "It seems the system update extended to the shop as well. There’s much more available than just the regeneration potions and cores I knew about before."

Ophelia, standing beside him, nodded, her eyes wide with intrigue as she scanned the items. "I had no idea there would be this many options. Look at all these weapons and armors. The system has really expanded its offerings."

Zorvax’s fingers scrolled through the list, pausing occasionally on items that caught his interest. "The variety is impressive. We have a lot more to work with now. This could significantly enhance our capabilities."

Ophelia’s gaze followed his, her expression reflecting a mix of curiosity and excitement. "The Tier 3 Elemental Weapons and Special Armors look particularly interesting," she observed, pointing at the screen.

Zorvax nodded in agreement, "Indeed, those could provide us with a substantial advantage. But first, we need to focus on Blackie’s evolution. The Shadow Wolf Zombie path requires Tier 3 black and white cores."

Ophelia nodded after being reminded by Zorvax. Zorvax soon looked at the cores and prepared to buy it but before that he looked at his zombie points first.
