Chenxing tilted her head and laughed, in a perfectly wonderful mood. When he slid into the driver’s seat, she even leaned in on her own accord, pressing a loud kiss against his right cheek, as if to curry favor.

Gu Shaocheng was taken aback for a moment, looking at the bold girl who had turned shy. He couldn’t help but smile. As if nothing had happened, he started the car. His foot pressed the accelerator, and with a swoosh, the car sped off.

He casually thought about it and started driving.

Chenxing saw several white-plated military police vehicles. The valet was covering the license plate before the front car could fully park, and two attractive female attendants were waiting beside the car.

Gu Shaocheng casually parked his car. Chenxing was astonished, "Is there a restaurant here? I never noticed it when I visited before. It’s so beautiful."

Gu Shaocheng chuckled, "If you could find it, this place would have been shut down long ago!"

Chenxing inferred the hidden meaning in his words and grumbled, "Corruption, the owner of this place has to be some sort of swindler. I read about these types of private clubs in the newspaper."

His amusement at her complaints was a mixture of laughter and embarrassment.

The man who was just called a swindler opened the car door, circled the car, with elegant manners and gentlemanly actions, he opened the car door for her. With a touch of irony, he asked: "Would the little lady who despises worldly matters like to join me for dinner?"

Chenxing pursed her lips, and giggled, "I am really hungry."

Immediately following, she was invited out in a manner befitting a princess. If she had been wearing a mini evening dress, it would have been even more suitable. Gu Shaocheng made a casual hand gesture as he thought, he motioned for the approaching beautiful attendants to stay back.

He held her hand, leading her into the tranquil center of the lake.

The exquisitely constructed lake house is in the middle of the artificial lake, connected by a long corridor to the land. The environment was surprisingly elegant, with someone playing slow-paced piano music in the lake house, the shimmering lake outside the window, a few swans leisurely swimming around, and the lights on the water made everything look extraordinarily beautiful.
