Gu Shaocheng seemed utterly unconcerned about her fear, fully engrossed in selecting items he liked, bag by bag, box by box, picking and choosing, then nonchalantly tossing them into the shopping basket.

There were only a few people in the bustling hotel. He was slouched lazily by the window, his legs crossed and sunk into the couch. He was sipping whiskey leisurely.

The whole bar was in plain sight from the entrance, and when Kevin saw the man drinking by the window on the second floor, he advanced up the stairs and sat next to him. He poured himself a full glass of whiskey, toasted Gu Shaocheng, and then drank it all at once.

Gu Shaocheng chuckled again, Kevin shook his head, thinking that Gu was being a bit over-the-top. Indeed, once a man is in a relationship, he does become somewhat different, a bit softer.

"However, being infatuated with a woman is not always a good thing."
