Chapter 1587 - 1590: Hua Hua’s Origins (Part 4)

"I want to go horseback riding. Can I borrow your Xing Xing for a spin? Those rigid monks at the ranch said it’s reserved for your exclusive use and wouldn’t even let me borrow it for a bit. They’re so inflexible!" Hua Hua knew the excuse was lousy, so she made up another one, then fiddled with her bangs in front of Ling Yin. "How’s my new hairstyle?"

"It looks great," Ling Yin nodded and smiled.

"Of course it does." Hua Hua’s eyes twinkled. "Brother, wanna go horseback riding together?"

"Go play by yourself. I have something else to do later," Gu Shaocheng disdainfully took the teacup Hua Hua returned to him, placed it on the table, and didn’t touch it again, speaking with interest.

"It’s no fun going alone. If you won’t go, how about Brother Ling keeps me company?" Hua Hua raised her eyebrows at Ling Yin. "Brother Ling, do you have any plans? If not, we can go together?"

"I don’t have any plans," Ling Yin turned his head towards Gu Shaocheng, pleading secretly, "Mr. Gu, the collaboration we discussed today, I hope you can keep it confidential for now."

Gu Shaocheng gave him an ambiguous answer, "Regarding this collaboration, I’ll have someone investigate thoroughly. If there’s any discrepancy with the information you provided, consider the implications yourself."

He waved his hand, exuding an emperor-like posture, "Go on!"

......

In the car, Hua Hua looked nervously at Ling Yin, "What did my brother say to you?"

"Hmm?"

"He called you over to play golf early in the morning. Didn’t you discuss...uh, private topics?" Like how they slept together last night, for instance.

Ling Yin chuckled and patted his head, "What private topics? I talked with your brother about business matters and nothing else."

"Really?" Hua Hua was half-doubting, it didn’t make sense, did it?

Brother had no reaction to him staying overnight with Ling Yin last night? A tinge of disappointment suddenly rose in his heart. Is he really eager for me to find a partner? Feeling inexplicably upset, shouldn’t he at least hint a little even if he’s in a rush? Were all those things he said about destroying any guy I find just jokes?

At least give Ling Yin a beating!

Why wasn’t he beaten?

If Ling Yin knew Hua Hua was eagerly hoping for him to get beaten at this moment, he’d probably be exasperated instead of smiling like he is now. "What else could we possibly talk about?"

Hmph, he wasn’t troubled at all, I worried for nothing, Hua Hua thought indignantly to himself!

Horse riding and such, he had no mood for it at all!

He turned the steering wheel, changing routes.

"Weren’t we going horseback riding?" Ling Yin noticed the change in direction.

"Oh, I suddenly remembered I have some unfinished business, need to rush back to the company. Do you have any plans? If so, I’ll drop you off here and you can grab a ride for your errand." He practically wanted to dump him by the roadside!

Who knows what kind of mood he’s in!

Afraid his brother would beat Ling Yin, he rushed over in haste to save the scene; but not being beaten left him feeling disappointed and difficult to adjust, increasingly feeling that his brother couldn’t wait to deal with the hassle of him, claiming to follow feelings, not interfere, whatever you like is fine! Hmph, all big, fancy words!

Ling Yin: How did I provoke him?

"I don’t have plans, visiting your company is fine too." He raised his hand, realizing it was still early, Ling Yin removed his jacket, rolled up his shirt sleeves, and opened the car window, feeling much cooler.

"When I’m working, I get totally focused. With you around, I might get distracted. You should go enjoy yourself?" With a screeching sound, Hua Hua stopped the car, on the verge of kicking him out!
