He discreetly put away his phone and quickly drove the car to the restaurant entrance, inviting him to get out of the car.

This was a uniquely Spanish restaurant. When the manager learned that Ling Yin came to eat, he personally brought the menu over

He felt very uncomfortable.

So he called the hotel front desk: "Hello, I have a bit of a fever. Could you please help me buy some antipyretics? I’m a guest in room 406. I will pay you back later."

The receptionist quickly agreed.

But after hanging up the phone, she hesitated whether to call Boss Ling.

This was because earlier Boss Ling had called, saying that his friend was sick and to inform him immediately if anything happened.

The pharmacies were already closed.

He sat alone in the hotel’s lobby, lit a cigarette, and smoked one after another, worrying about Hua Hua’s condition.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to go and check on the situation personally. He just knew that overly attentive actions might make someone as sensitive as Hua Hua withdraw even further. To avoid trouble, he might ignore his own illness and leave Barcelona tomorrow, getting away as far as possible.

Time passed by, minute by minute.

A full half-hour had passed, yet his mind remained preoccupied with concern.

When the doctor and nurse returned to the lobby, the ashtray on the low table beside him was filled with a thick layer of ash.
