Chapter 1077 - 1080: Hua Hua Speaks the Truth After Drinking 8

He lay there weakly, motionless, with a slightly evasive look in his eyes as he asked, "What happened to me?"

Whew, Chenxing patted her chest and let out a sigh of relief: "It’s okay, it’s okay. You were probably drunk. It’s good that you’re awake now, that’s all that matters."

Her gaze darted around the room before she ran over and picked up a slightly cool cup of hangover tea. "Here, drink some tea. It’s for sobering up. You were a bit scary when you were drunk just now, but it’s fine now."

Memory slowly trickled back. He retained fragments of what had happened earlier. When he looked at Chenxing, his eyes carried hints of guilt and embarrassment. He wasn’t fully sober, and like a puppet doll, he let Chenxing feed him an entire bowl of hangover tea. He parted his lips slightly: "Chenxing? Where’s my brother? Where is he?"

"He’s at home. He twisted his ankle and is resting in bed. How are you feeling now?"

So the one who had been lying beside him earlier was Chenxing and not his brother? Hua Hua felt a fleeting sense of disappointment flash through his heart. Lowering his gaze, he shook his head. "I’m fine."

"Oh, as long as you’re okay. Maybe you should get some rest. You really had too much to drink—you were rambling nonsense and acting up." Although she said this lightly, for some reason, Chenxing had an uneasy feeling in her heart. It might not be as simple as it seemed.

Right now, though, she didn’t have the energy to ask more questions. Her back was still drenched in cold sweat. She hurriedly urged him to sleep a bit and clear his head.

Hua Hua didn’t dare look at Chenxing anymore. He grabbed the blanket and pulled it over his head, slowly closing his eyes.

He was trying hard to recall: Did he say anything wrong just now?

But although he had fragments of memory, they were incomplete. He didn’t even know exactly what he had said to Chenxing.

"Chenxing," he suddenly opened his eyes again, "can you stay and take care of me for a bit? My head really hurts. I drank too much... I want some water. Can you ask this guy to leave?"

The "guy" he was referring to was Fei.

Fei, recalling the horrifying scene from earlier, was momentarily too scared to leave Chenxing’s side, fearing that Young Master Hua might go into another drunken rage and lash out at Miss Chenxing with a knife.

Chenxing thought for a moment. "Fei, can you sit in the living room for a bit? Everything’s fine now."

"But..."

"It’s fine, really fine. Just go out." Chenxing blinked at Fei and waved her hand at him.

Fei didn’t dare take chances. Although he nodded, he only retreated to the doorway, refusing to stray far. He kept his ears perked, ready to rush in at the slightest noise.

Leaning against the wall, he couldn’t figure out what exactly had happened earlier. Lost in thought, he racked his brain.

In the bedroom, Hua Hua lowered his voice, mumbling hesitantly for a long while. "Chenxing."

"Hmm?"

"I didn’t say anything I shouldn’t have just now, right? When I’m drunk, I tend to talk nonsense. Just let it go in one ear and out the other, don’t take it to heart." As he spoke, he kept a close watch on Chenxing’s expression.

Chenxing gave an awkward smile. "You didn’t say anything. It was pure drunken gibberish. Just get some rest."

"Really nothing I shouldn’t have said?"

Was he afraid his obsessive attachment to his brother might be exposed? Chenxing’s heart filled with amusement, and she shook her head. "Really, nothing. I’ve already forgotten all about it."

Hua Hua closed his eyes briefly, feeling an unbearable frustration in his heart. He had no idea what he might have said. Judging from Chenxing’s expression, it seemed he hadn’t spilled the beans, right?

Damn it, why did I have to drink!
