Chapter 1030 - 1033: The Truth About Mother’s Illness 6
"During that period, he often came to me. Maybe because he had no one else to confide in, he treated me like someone who could never escape his clutches. When he spoke to me, he did so without any consideration. Afterwards, I learned many of his secrets... He frequently got drunk and would babble nonsense... saying he regretted, regretted how he treated Ziteng... He even said he wanted to kill Gu Lianhe, claiming that if it hadn’t been for him, he would have never treated Ziteng that way... He was like a person possessed, blaming everything on Gu Lianhe... In the later years, the person he cursed the most was Yingteng, saying she was untrustworthy. He couldn’t rely on Yingteng to kill Gu Lianhe, saying that Yingteng liked Gu Lianhe. He had to find another way to deal with Gu Lianhe."
"Two years later, it seemed like Ziteng had committed suicide. He came to me again, in a frenzy. That’s when I learned that he had used Yingteng to tamper with Ziteng’s food, leading to her contracting Lou Gehrig’s disease. By that time, I had seen Miyai’s true colors, and I cursed him to a bad end. To my surprise, he said I was someone who couldn’t remain in this world, as I knew too much. He said since I was once Ziteng’s best friend, he was going to make me accompany Ziteng using the same method, because he was afraid Ziteng would be lonely on the other side... Mad, he was truly a madman..."
"Years later, I got sick too, with Lou Gehrig’s disease, turning into what I am now. I hate Miyai, I truly hate Miyai. I came here today just to thank you, to say thank you for getting rid of Miyai, thank you..."
"I’ve lived long enough to make it to today, I have no more regrets in this life. I want to go to another world, to be with Ziteng, to tell her that her son avenged that foolish woman for her. She really was foolish, so very foolish... She treated Yingteng like a sister, yet Yingteng conspired with outsiders to lead her to her death. She truly was the most foolish woman in the world..."

Chenxing, holding an umbrella and wearing flat shoes, saw from a distance a dozen agile and burly bodyguards closely surrounding Shaocheng. The rain was heavy, and they all looked like drenched chickens, but no one dared to let down their guard, as they fought against Shaocheng alone.
Chenxing held her breath as she quickly walked closer, wanting to rush in and stop them, but Fei kindly held her back, shaking his head at her: "Miss Chen Xing, don’t go, it’s dangerous."
"But how can they bully the few with many, Shaocheng..."
"Haven’t you noticed? The master is in a very bad mood right now, he needs to vent, to use violence as an outlet," Fei said, his eyelids twitching.
Chenxing didn’t understand: "What on earth happened? What’s wrong with Shaocheng? Why is he in such a bad mood? Why does he need to vent in such a masochistic way?"
She looked on, heart aching terribly.
Fei shook his head, equally perplexed, his job was to protect Miss Chen Xing all day, how could he possibly know the master’s affairs.
Under the curtain of rain, Gu Shaocheng suddenly let out a low roar: "Everybody come at me together!"
Even though Chenxing couldn’t see his expression clearly and was standing far away, she could still feel the dangerous aura of destruction emanating from Shaocheng.
The dozen or so bodyguards exchanged glances.
