True Identity - Party 2

"He misses her," Peter thought and smiled as Jason exited his room.

Jason returned to his room, closed the door shut and leaned behind it. He pulled his phone out of his pocket, unlocked the screen and went into his gallery, opening Julia's picture and staring at the image for a while before closing it.

Meanwhile, at the same time in another location in Florida, Julia had just returned home exhausted from her job hunt.

"Welcome home Ms Harrison," said Mary upon seeing Julia enter the apartment.

"Thank you, Mary," Julia said, changing her shoes into her house slippers.

Julia walked straight into the kitchen and opened the fridge grabbing herself a bottle of water. Her phone vibrated and she remembered she had not checked her phone the whole day. She fetched her phone from her bag as she responded to the housekeeper's question about how her day went. She unlocked her phone screen and saw a message from her bank. She quickly searched through her messages after checking her call log hoping to see a call from Jason but there was none. She smiled briefly when she saw a message from Jason which had her bank details. The content didn't matter as all she wanted to see was something from Jason. She opened another message which was from the bank. It was alerting her to check her email. She quickly did and read the email informing her about her access to her account. She walked into her room not realizing the housekeeper was asking if she would like something to drink. Her joy was short leave as she recalled being alone. She entered her room, threw her bag on the bed and went straight to the bathroom. She took off her clothes and sat in the already-filled bathtub. At the same time in the hotel, Jason was also standing under the shower his mind filled with thoughts of Julia as Julia sat in the bathtub in her apartment her mind filled with thoughts of Jason. Julia hugged her arms at a memory of her and Jason together and Jason stretched his hand in the shower with his eyes closed as if to touch Julia but he quickly folded his hand into a fist and Julia loosened her arms dropping them into the water. They both brushed the memory off and exited the bathroom after having their bath and went to bed.

Julia lay on her bed in her apartment tossing and turning as she could not sleep without Jason cuddling her. Jason was equally tossing and turning on his bed in the hotel room as he was equally missing Julia. He had managed to forget about her for a while doing his investigation but Peter mentioned her, bringing thoughts of her back into his mind. The night was very long for both of them but Peter on the other hand slept peacefully exhausted from the long flight.

The sound of the birds chirping and the light ray that made its way into the room from the small space between the curtains made Jason realize it was morning. He looked at the time on his phone which he had not been paying attention to earlier and it was 6.30 a.m. He had not slept. He had sat on the bed and was on his phone throughout the night. He tossed the phone to the side and went to the bathroom. He took a shower, picked up a tuxedo from the closet and packed the few things he had bought into the bag. He had come to Florida to rescue Julia and least expected events to turn up this way.

Jason and Peter checked out of the hotel that morning to the new apartment Jason had in Melbourne. They both arrived at the house and went inside with their luggage. The house was nice but had a classic decoration. There was a small waiting area right at the entrance before you entered the living room. All the bedrooms were upstairs with each having its toilet and bath. The kitchen and the dining room were only separated by a wall and it was to the right side of the living room from the entrance. It was fully furnished.

Peter smiled as they both walked in. After a few months of working, Jason could already afford such a luxurious house. It appeared Jason was not impressed as he still had a cold expression, colder than when the crisis started. Peter watched Jason go up the staircase holding a small travelling bag. Peter took the rest of the items upstairs.

After dropping his bag in the room, he had chosen as his bedroom, Jason returned to the living room.

"I am going out. The housekeeper will be in by 10 a.m.," Jason said and Peter, who was about to carry another suitcase, stopped and stared at Jason who headed for the door.

He sighed and carried the rest of the luggage upstairs after the entrance door was shut by Jason.

Jason hailed a taxi and headed for Benjamin's house. If anyone had the rest of the story, it is Benjamin's father. On the way to the place, he thought of how he would get to speak with Benjaims's father realizing Benjamin his friend didn't want to see him again. His thought was interrupted by the ringing of his phone. He looked at the phone screen to see who was calling and it was Mr Greg. He picked up the call and brought the phone to his ears.

"Hello Mr Greg," Jason greeted.

"Hello, Jason. I was worried about you when you left yesterday. So, I made a few calls to some friends and found something that might help you," Mr Greg said.

"Thank you, Mr Greg. I appreciate this a lot," Jason said expressionlessly.

"I will send you an address. There is a woman called Dr Andesh. She might be able to help you. She is a bit difficult but I know she is your only shot now," Mr Greg said.

Jason thanked him and the call ended. His phone beeped with an SMS notification. He quickly gave the address he had read from his phone to the driver and the driver drove to the location.

The location was a place for the rich and hence the taxi could not go beyond the checkpoint.

"Excuse me, who are you looking for," came the security man at the entrance of the estate.

"I am Jason Haward, I am looking for Dr Andesh," replied Jason.

"Is she expecting you?" asked the security man who looked Jason up and down.

"No, she is not but I have a very important message for her. Shall I go and have you land yourself in trouble?" Jason asked, his gaze cold.

"Sorry, sir?" the security man apologised and allowed Jason in, forgetting he had arrived in a taxi.

"Which apartment," Jason asked and the security man showed him.

Jason was walking towards the apartment when a car drove past him. He felt a cold chill run down his spine when the car slowed down briefly when it drove past him before it sped off. Jason stared briefly at the car that had just driven past him before continuing his walk to the door of the apartment he had been shown. He knocked on the door and a female voice answered from the inside.

"Mr Wellington, did you forget something?" Dr Andesh said and opened the door only to see a handsome young man standing at the entrance.

Dr Andesh could not react as she stared at Jason in complete shock. Jason took a step backwards as he also stared back at her. He heard the name she had mentioned earlier and concluded the car that drove past him must have Mr Wellington sitting inside it but could not decipher why the lady was staring at him like that.

"Who are you?" Dr Andesh eventually asked after a long silence.

"Jason Haward," Jason replied, his gaze still cold. "I am looking for Dr Andesh?" he added

"Do you know where I can find her?" Jason spoke again frowning deeply realizing the woman was just staring at him.

"I am she. Come in," Dr Andesh said and welcomed Jason into her apartment still staring at him making Jason uncomfortable but he kept his composure.

Dr Andesh led the way down a corridor, opened a door and asked Jason to enter the office.

"Have a seat," she said, picked up the receiver and pressed a number. "Bring me two cups of coffee," she said and put the receiver back.

Dr Andesh sat down opposite Jason still staring at him picking up every detail of him. Jason's gaze remained cold but he wondered why she was still staring at him like that.

"Please stop staring," Jason said sounding very cold and Dr Andesh smiled.

"Why, am I making you uncomfortable?" Dr Andesh asked tilting her head to the side.

"No, but it's rude to stare," replied Jason.

"I see," said Dr Andesh.

A female servant entered carrying a tray of coffee. Two women in the room with Jason made his skin crawl but he remained composed.

"Thank you," Jason said after Dr Andesh offered him one of the served cups of coffee.

"Why are you looking for me?" Dr Andesh finally asked sipping her coffee, her gaze still on Jason.

"My contacts tell me you know where I can find my family," Jason went straight to the point.

"Who is your contact and why such a thought?" Dr Andesh asked.

"I am the 9-month-old baby who was abducted by Steven Strong and Debbie Fynn while with the nanny at the park," Jason replied.

Dr Andesh's eyes widened but she quickly composed herself sipping some more coffee to cover up. Unfortunately for her Jason had already seen her reaction to confirm she knew something.
