Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 649: The Star Vault

Chapter 649: The Star Vault

Whether it’s a beehive fortress or floating cannons, both will consume a large amount of magic power.

The magic power of an ordinary Level 1 Mage is simply unable to sustain the cohesion of a large-scale floating cannon array for combat, but for Duke, it is quite suitable for his magic.

In his current state, Duke has no problem controlling a cluster of a thousand floating cannons for combat. With this, he can dominate among Level 1 Life Forms, and even dealing with some Level 2 Life Forms isn’t an issue.

The only problem is that the current floating cannons are still too small. When his strength increases, if each floating cannon can possess the real power of a magic-guided cannon, they would truly become walking war machines.

Duke stayed at Anvil Castle for another week, mainly to collect and purchase some materials and magic models he needed.

These magic models may not be needed for the time being, but he bought them to keep on hand for when they’re needed in the future.

Otherwise, having to make a trip to the East Coast to get what’s needed would be too much trouble.

After finishing his trip to Anvil Castle, Duke planned to visit Kabro City to pay respects to the Statue of the Goddess of Light.

After all, he had received the Light Divine Breathing Technique bestowed by the Goddess of Light, so naturally he must take a look while on the East Coast.

If there were any problems with his Light Divine Status, he could also rely on the power of the Goddess of Light on the Wizard Plane to find out.

This divine status is a bit too elevated for Duke; being cautious is never a mistake.

The distance from Anvil Castle to Kabro City is quite long and requires taking a floating airship.

Due to his identity as a breaker, Duke easily purchased a ticket for the next floating airship to Kabro City, and it was in the best first-class cabin, with an additional twenty percent discount.

On the morning of departure day, Duke arrived at the cloud port belonging exclusively to the Star Dome Commerce Association on the outskirts of Anvil Castle. The floating airship he booked was owned by this association.

The Star Dome Commerce Association is renowned throughout the entire Seville Empire, rumored to have immense power backing it.

A massive berth is suspended outside the mountainside, shrouded in mist.

When the floating airship named Star Dome docked slowly, this gigantic floating airship had already exceeded the scope of ordinary civilian use.

It is about 300 meters long, with a body that is sleek and elegant, not in the traditional form of a ship, but more like a sleeping beast covered in silver-blue metallic scale armor.

The hull is constructed with a blend of lightweight yet indestructible sky wood and magical alloy, with a surface engraved with complex wind-resistant, constant-temperature, and concealment runes, exuding a pearl-like lustrous glow in the morning light.

Huge side wings and tail propulsion arrays, akin to whale fins, quietly draw magic crystal energy, emitting a steady, low hum of magic pulses.

Duke boarded the airship through a starlight passage set up exclusively for VIPs, avoiding the crowd of ordinary passengers.

At the end of the passage, a middle-aged steward in a sharply tailored Star Dome Commerce Association uniform was waiting respectfully, accompanied by two attendants of vastly different races, both extremely striking in appearance.

"Honorable Mr. Duke, welcome aboard the Star Dome. I am the first-class exclusive steward of this airship, you may call me Ossen," the middle-aged steward bowed slightly, his smile sincere yet not overly familiar. "Your itinerary record at the cloud port has shown your status as a breaker, and the Star Dome Commerce Association is deeply honored. We will prioritize fulfilling all your needs on the airship. These two are your assigned accompanying attendants, Servea and Li."

Servea, a tall figure with skin as white as moonlight and pointed ears, is a high elf whose emerald eyes are calm as water, her silver hair meticulously styled, and her manner extremely elegant. She is responsible for living arrangements and information consultation.

Li, on the other hand, is a sub-human girl with soft chestnut hair, with small, furry cat ears vaguely visible in her hair, and amber eyes. She moves silently, with a sweet and flexible smile, mainly responsible for conveying items, guiding and leading.

Even at the mere beginning of boarding, the luxurious foundation of the Star Dome Commerce Association and its meticulous service to top clients were already fully revealed.

The interior of the airship held even more surprises.

The first-class area is located at the upper front of the airship, occupying the best views and space.

Instead of narrow corridors and crowded cabins, there is a spacious, high-ceiling central hall.

The hall’s floor is covered with thick magical woolen carpets embroidered with star and moon patterns, which make no sound when stepped upon.

The dome is a single curved piece of magical crystal with adjustable transparency, currently simulating a pleasant scene of blue skies and white clouds.

Soft light unknowingly spills in, illuminating the master oil paintings and magical landscape paintings hanging on the surrounding walls.

The air carries a faint fragrance of stardust orchid, calming and soothing, and one side of the hall features a bar counter carved from a whole piece of warm sea heart jade with a wine rack displaying famous wines from various planes.

The other side is a comfortable lounge area furnished with sofas padded with soft cloud beast fur.

Duke’s room is more of a fully functional aerial palace than a mere cabin.

It includes an independent living room, a washroom with a temperature-controlled witch array bath, a meditation room equipped with a basic experimental bench and a soundproof barrier, and a private observation balcony with a panoramic floor-to-ceiling window.

All furniture is made of exquisite materials, designed for both luxury and ergonomic comfort.

During the voyage, service is omnipresent yet just right.

Servea always appears quietly when needed, providing precise information on the route, the scenery along the way, and even the latest updates on Kabro City, demonstrating extensive knowledge in conversation.

Li handles all aspects of service regarding living arrangements, swiftly delivering the tea snacks prepared by a specially hired elven pastry chef onboard or the non-classified Records of the Land and People of the East Coast borrowed from the commerce association’s library.

The dining experience is the epitome of luxury, not a uniform distribution but freshly cooked by the first-class exclusive kitchen based on passenger’s tastes, using many rare ingredients directly transported from their place of origin through preservation witch arrays.

Those entering and exiting the central hall or observation deck are all notable figures from the East Coast.

There are commerce association tycoons carrying multiple attendants, discussing bulk trades of magical materials, enigmatic individuals with unfathomable auras indicating exceptional status, and nobility sons dressed in luxurious outfits, displaying elegant manners.

They maintain polite but distant interactions, forming a small, elite social circle.

Naturally, Duke can’t integrate into these circles; he can sense the sense of superiority these people have, most losing interest after just a glance at him.

Many wizards on the East Coast look down on those from the West Coast, after all, the overall strength and prosperity level of the East Coast far exceed that of the West Coast.
