So silent that when Maxwell Saxon’s phone rang, both of them were startled by the sudden sound.

Maxwell sat up, unzipped his ski jacket, and took out his phone.

She suppressed her wildly racing heart, took a deep breath, trying to control her feelings to make her voice sound less excited: "Since you have urgent matters, let’s hurry up and go."

As she spoke, she had already swiftly climbed up from the snow.

It seemed like she was very cooperative and understanding of him.

But Maxwell did not feel any relief.
