Chapter 918: So He Used the Handsome Guy Strategy
Scarlett Yates looked at him skeptically, "Maxwell Saxon, can you handle it? Don’t buy the wrong tickets."She guessed that ever since Maxwell got to the Saxon Family, he probably hadn’t been to places like this.
Wherever he went, he either used a private car or a private jet. Even if tickets were needed, assistants would handle such matters. For him to line up to buy tickets was truly a rare sight.
Maxwell smiled confidently, "If I can’t do such a small thing well, then I’m useless. Just relax and wait in the café. I promise we’ll reach the snow mountain in two hours."
"Alright then, I’ll wait for you over there."
The café was right across the street. Scarlett turned and walked a few steps before suddenly remembering something.
Initially, when Maxwell said he’d buy the tickets, she felt something was off but couldn’t recall what it was.
Scarlett turned around and looked towards Maxwell.
He was wearing a high-end dark blue coat, standing tall among the crowded people. His handsome profile carved out a striking figure, making him stand out like a crane among chickens.
She recalled that some time ago in the men’s boutique, he mentioned he didn’t have cash on him.
But now, this man who kept saying he didn’t have cash was in line to buy tickets.
He didn’t ask her for money.
Scarlett suddenly realized she had been deceived.
If he had money for tickets, how could he not have cash?
Scarlett soon understood that Maxwell intended for her to pay for the tie in the first place.
Today was his birthday.
He asked her for a birthday gift in that manner.
It’s no wonder he went to such a small store; he probably knew that cheaper items were more within her budget.
When she offered to give him a birthday gift, his eyes were full of delight, and he seemed genuinely happy.
After paying, he wore the tie immediately and seriously asked her if it looked good, without minding that it only cost two hundred dollars.
As she thought about it, a complex emotion welled up inside Scarlett.
Her feelings towards Maxwell were strange. Although she had been resisting getting too close to him, being with Maxwell was actually quite comforting.
She realized that without considering any external factors, she wouldn’t mind having someone like him as a friend.
Seemingly sensing her gaze, Maxwell suddenly turned around, his deep, dark eyes meeting Scarlett’s thoughtful look.
He was initially stunned, a smile emerging in his eyes. He smirked and said to her, "Don’t worry, I’ll get the tickets soon."
Scarlett was also momentarily stunned, smiled, nodded, and without saying anything, turned around and walked to the café.
Maxwell indeed got the tickets very quickly.
Much faster than Scarlett expected.
Scarlett had just reached the café, chosen a spot, and ordered a cup of coffee. Before the coffee was even served, he walked in through the door.
"Why so fast?" Scarlett was quite surprised when she saw him.
She clearly remembered there were at least a dozen people in line ahead of him.
Maxwell waved the tickets in his hand and smiled, "I was afraid you’d get impatient waiting, so I asked a young lady to give me her spot."
Ah, he used his charm, did he?
