Chapter 915: Today Is My Birthday

Chapter 915: Today Is My Birthday

He picked out a dark striped tie.Maxwell Saxon didn’t even glance at it, turned his head towards Scarlett Yates, and said with a smile, "Scarlett, come over and help me pick one."

Scarlett saw that he was really planning to buy something here. After a moment of surprise, she walked towards him.

Maxwell Saxon took the tie from the store owner and asked her, "How about this one?"

Since she had agreed to help him choose, Scarlett felt she should do her best, so she first looked at the tie, then lifted her head to look at him, and shook her head, "It doesn’t really match your clothes."

Maxwell Saxon handed the tie back, "Then you help me pick one."

The shop was so small, and it wasn’t a place that specialized in selling ties, so there were actually very few to choose from, only about ten or so.

Scarlett picked up each one and held them against him, eventually choosing a dark red one.

"This one will do."

It was the only one that matched a little better in color.

Maxwell Saxon took it from her and went to the mirror, matching it with his outfit twice, then turned to her and said, "Scarlett, can you do me a favor?"

Scarlett had already guessed what he was going to say.

Maxwell Saxon waved the tie in his hand, smiling, "Could you help me tie it?"

Scarlett stared at him, "Can’t you tie it yourself?"

He shook his head, "No, I can’t."

When he said he couldn’t, his face didn’t turn red; he spoke with conviction, his eyes didn’t show any guilt, it didn’t seem like he was lying, and said earnestly, "These things are always done by others for me, I don’t need to do it myself."

Of course, he could tie it himself, he just lied so Scarlett would agree to help him.

Scarlett didn’t really doubt him.

Though Maxwell Saxon wasn’t born into a life of luxury, when Roy Saxon officially considered him a member of the Saxon Family, he was still in high school and hadn’t reached the stage of needing to tie a tie for work every day.

"The boss can help you." Scarlett stood her ground.

Maxwell Saxon frowned, "I don’t like unfamiliar people doing these things for me."

This time he was telling the truth.

"Young Master Saxon, I want to ask, after buying the tie, what else do you want to do?"

Scarlett slowly walked towards him, stopped in front of him, folded her arms and looked up at him, raising an eyebrow.

Maxwell Saxon lowered his head, lost in thought for a moment, then when he looked up again, his eyes showed a hint of sadness and loneliness that quickly disappeared.

But Scarlett noticed the sudden drop in his mood.

Maxwell Saxon was silent for a few seconds, his thin lips forming a lonely curve, and he said softly, "Scarlett, there’s something I haven’t had a chance to tell you."

"Actually, I did come to Fort City to see you, but at the same time, I had another purpose."

Scarlett immediately asked, "What purpose?"

He was silent for a few more seconds, tightened his grip on the tie a bit, and said, "Today is my birthday, and I hope you can spend it with me."

"I know it’s a bit unreasonable to ask, but I haven’t really celebrated this day in many years. I heard the snow mountains here in Fort City are beautiful, and I want you to go see them with me. After we return from the snow mountain, I’ll go back."

As if worried she would refuse him, he quickly added, "I’ve already booked the plane tickets for tonight. The snow mountain isn’t far from here; we can make it there and back in one day."
