When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster

Chapter 414: Here with a Purpose

Chapter 414: Here with a Purpose

The old man quickly understood her meaning and her concerns, "The SereniTea House, is that okay?"

"Fine."

The two chatted a bit more, and before leaving, Faye Turner mentioned something to Director Nancy Jennings.

"Go on, go on, be safe."

"Okay."

In the ancient and quiet old house, in the yard in front of the main villa, the leaves of the camphor tree swayed in the wind, rustling.

By the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor, Eliza Hayes sat in an armchair, watching the door since early morning, waiting for the master to descend the mountain.

Hours passed by, but he still hadn’t come in.

Instead, she saw the old man getting into a car; in the yard, the driver opened the car door for him.

Eliza’s eyes narrowed, and her whole body froze as she hastily rushed downstairs, but the car was already gone!

Grandpa left??

She stood frozen in place, thinking, what if the master comes down the mountain??

About ten minutes later.

Uncle Lane drove Faye Turner to The SereniTea House; as she got out of the car, she felt Uncle Lane was hesitating to speak.

Faye Turner smiled slightly, "You can report to Adrian, that I’m here to see Grandpa."

"Mrs., I am just concerned about your safety," Uncle Lane said apologetically, "It is not mandatory to report."

"I know, but there’s nothing to worry about with Grandpa; he loves Adrian very much, he wouldn’t harm me," Faye sighed lightly, thinking Adrian Lancaster was truly suspicious.

He even guarded against Grandpa.

But it also showed that he cared much about her and the child.

"Mrs., if you need anything, call me, I’ll be here waiting."

"Okay," Faye looked at him gratefully, then turned and headed towards the tea house.

Since the old house was closer, Grandpa arrived earlier.

After going upstairs, Faye arrived at the agreed private room door.

Today, in this tea room, she was going to do something; this was the purpose of her trip.

"Hello, Miss. The old gentleman is inside," at the door, the bodyguard bowed in greeting, then opened the door for her.

"Thank you," she replied softly.

"Faye."

Seeing the girl entering from the door, the old man was full of affection, quickly stepped forward to hold her by the shoulders, looking her over.

Faye smiled, meeting the old man’s gaze, "Grandpa."

The old man sighed heavily, hugging her with heartache, "Faye... you’ve suffered, that Adrian Lancaster, when Grandpa sees him, he’ll surely give him a stern talking to!"

The girl was deeply touched, her nose tingled, "Grandpa."

"You’ve been wronged, marrying into our Lancaster Family, often being the subject of media stories," the old man said, holding her shoulders, his heart aching, "Have you lost weight recently?"

Not wanting Grandpa to worry, she beamed, shaking her head, "Just an optical illusion, I weighed myself just this morning, recently keeping up with nutrition, I even gained three pounds."

"Gaining weight is good, a little weight is healthy, come, come, sit down."

"Grandpa, I’ve recently learned a massage technique," she came with a mission, "I’d like to give you a head massage."

"No need for you to do that," he genuinely cared for her, "Such things the household staff can handle, come, come, let’s have tea together."

But without the massage, how could she take a sample for the DNA test?

Today, she was determined to take a strand of Grandpa’s hair.

Yes, to unravel these complex relationships, she decided to compare everyone’s DNA with Adrian Lancaster’s.

Mrs. Lancaster was taking on the route of Sherlock Holmes.

"Grandpa, let me try, see if my technique is skilled? You can help me judge," Faye coaxed him, moving behind to lightly press his shoulders, letting him sit in the chair, "It’s no trouble at all, I just want to serve Grandpa."

As she finished speaking, she immediately got to work, her fingers gently pressing on the old man’s scalp.
