Chapter 328: Mrs. Lancaster Won’t Go
This assessment actually piqued Adrian Lancaster’s interest. While casually flipping through the materials in his hand, he asked with keen interest, "So tell me, what’s different?"
"The feeling you gave off before was that of a non-committal bachelor, you wouldn’t even get close to other women!" Evan Sharp blurted out.
Other women... meaning besides Sienna Dawson.
Mentioning that name indeed stirred something within Adrian Lancaster.
After all, she was his first love, the girl he gave his genuine affection to, the first person he ever loved.
At noon, Adrian Lancaster called Faye Turner, asking if she wanted to go with him to the class reunion.
"I don’t want to go." At such a gathering, she surprisingly felt a bit socially anxious and didn’t know anyone besides Adrian Lancaster.
"Are you sure you don’t want to go?"
"The product I’m designing today can be finalized soon; I really don’t want to delay it until tomorrow. You go yourself, remember to drink less, as drinking harms the body."
"Alright then, I’ll have Mr. Kerr send you home. I’ll go with Evan Sharp." He didn’t insist.
"Okay, have fun."
After hanging up the phone, Faye Turner belatedly realized that this was a high school class reunion. Does it mean... she could see Sienna Dawson?
Who exactly is Sienna Dawson?
Is she his high school classmate?
Or... his university classmate?
Is Sienna Dawson still alive?
Faye Turner knew nothing about her, only knowing this woman had grown deep within Adrian Lancaster’s heart.
Even after all these years, her mark hadn’t faded.
Sometimes Faye Turner felt she was quite a failure, not even knowing who she was, how old she was... she was uninformed.
As evening descended.
Evan Sharp’s car stopped on time at the Prestige Group entrance. After Adrian Lancaster came out, he opened the passenger door himself, and his tall figure settled in.
"Changed the car?" Adrian Lancaster felt the experience of this new car, a new model Cullinan.
"Yes, bought it yesterday. From now on, this car will accompany me in Argent as I navigate the legal sphere."
"Have you found a girlfriend abroad all these years?" Adrian Lancaster turned his gaze toward him.
The car moved forward, and Evan Sharp shook his head, "Women are troublesome creatures; avoid them when possible."
"Non-committal bachelor, huh?"
"Non-committal attitudes are excuses for irresponsible guys; if you truly want to be in a serious relationship, who wouldn’t commit?" Evan Sharp laughed, then turned his gaze to him, "I’m anti-romance."
"Yes, being single is for happiness, falling in love is too, marriage is, and so is divorce." Adrian Lancaster said with a hint of introspection, "Every young person today is so enlightened; whatever state love is in, happiness is all that matters."
Evan Sharp drove, "Isn’t Mrs. Lancaster going for real?"
"No."
"Well, indeed no one brings family members, bringing them to a class reunion hinders conversation. Who didn’t have some embarrassing moments in their youth?"
Evan Sharp glanced at him again, curiously asking, "May I ask President Lancaster, are you happy now?"
Adrian Lancaster hadn’t genuinely pondered this question.
Yet, recalling Faye Turner’s face, her every smile and movement, he felt warmth.
"Happy."
Quickly, the car stopped at the entrance of an upscale club.
Adrian Lancaster’s classmates were all either rich or prestigious, after all, birds of a feather flock together.
It was dinner time now.
After getting out of the car, Evan Sharp led Adrian Lancaster inside, appearing perfectly at ease.
The club was vast, everywhere resplendent and elegant.
An ambiguous perfume scent lingered in the air, and the wall reliefs were illuminated by the lights.
Vaguely, neither near nor far, but not overwhelming at all.
In a private dining room accommodating 20 people, the setting was incredibly luxurious. The large round table was laid out with exquisite and delectable food, practically a full imperial feast.
Three seats were still vacant.
