When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster

Chapter 293: So Who’s the Stubborn One?

Chapter 293: So Who’s the Stubborn One?

Adrian Lancaster really felt like losing it!

Facing her pitiful gaze, he tugged at his tie, eyes blazing!

She truly felt scared, pressing her pink lips together, not daring to move, looking at him with grievance, her pale amber eyes full of an apology, a genuine apology from the heart.

The next second, Adrian Lancaster leaned down, scaring her half to death!

Terrified, she closed her eyes, thinking he was going to hit her!

But the punch never came!

Instead, he held her shoulders tightly with both hands!

His breath surrounded her nose, and the room was dead silent.

Faye Turner slowly opened her eyes and stared at the face so close to hers, her chest tightening with fear again!

Her eyes were full of panic, "I’m sorry..." She whispered these words once more.

She genuinely felt extremely apologetic!

Adrian Lancaster looked at her like a startled bird, scrutinizing her face from such a close distance, "What do you want me to say to you?"

The tone seemed to express disappointment.

"Huh?" The girl’s throat tightened, looking at him obediently, as if not understanding his meaning.

Adrian bent down, holding her shoulders, his tone not angry but somewhat helpless—

"Why didn’t you discuss this with me? Why are you so stubborn? Just couldn’t bring it up again?"

Faye was bewildered, is this...

"You..." Facing the man’s deep gaze, watching as that chill slowly turned gentle, "What do you mean by that?"

She could sense he seemed no longer angry.

Adrian Lancaster sighed again, releasing her shoulders, then stood straight.

"I really admire you, if you had mentioned it again, I would have agreed." His cold tone carried a hint of pride as he said this.

"Huh?" Faye also sat upright, "I didn’t know!"

Then she hurriedly stood up, joyfully yet speechlessly reminded him, "You haven’t replied to my message! If you agreed, why didn’t you reply?!"

Adrian Lancaster couldn’t argue back, his mind quick to turn, angrily retorted—

"Didn’t you know to say it in person? Seeing each other every day, still sending texts? And you dare blame me?!"

"No, no, no!" Faye quickly apologized, "My fault, my fault! Don’t be angry, please! You’re kind-hearted, don’t hold grudges! I promise something like this won’t happen again!"

"There’s still a next time?!" Adrian Lancaster said as he pulled off his tie, then unbuttoned his shirt, turning his back to her, "You better think hard about it, and then figure out how to make it up to me."

After saying this, he took off his shirt, going bare-chested into the bathroom.

Faye pouted, watching his back, blinking her eyes, then heard the gushing sounds of water from the bathroom.

Make up??

No financial loss was caused, was it a mental injury?

Soon, a knocking sound echoed from the master bedroom door.

She returned to her senses, quickly ran to open the door, finding Miss Lane standing outside with a cup of warm milk.

"Miss Lane?"

"Madam, are you... alright?" The woman outside asked softly, worriedly, glancing inside.

Faye smiled and shook her head, "It’s fine, it’s fine, he went to take a shower." Feeling warm inside.

Upon hearing this, Miss Lane’s heart finally calmed down, "Brought you some milk, please drink it while warm, any idea what you’d like for dinner?"

"Anything, we’ll be down in a while, thanks." She reached out to take it.

"Alright." Miss Lane finally felt relieved, "Call me if you need anything." She turned to leave, a benevolent smile on her face.

Faye returned to the bedroom, she sat on the sofa chair near the window, drinking milk, recalling Adrian Lancaster’s attitude towards her.

At first, she was truly frightened by his aura.

But later, he actually wasn’t that angry?

This made her feel warm inside, she thought about it, deciding to make a suit for him by herself, design it herself, sew it herself.

When she had time, she would secretly look at materials, determined to make him comfortable.

Soon, the man finished his shower and came out of the bathroom.

Faye had finished her milk, she put down the glass, rose and walked towards him!

She threw herself into his arms, like a little kitten, lying on his warm chest, and reached out to encircle his strong waist, "Adrian..."
