Chapter 291: President Lancaster’s Answer

There’s only one question left, and Rachel Sherman is torn.

Just then, Adrian Lancaster’s phone rings, breaking the silence.

He picks up the phone and sees it’s Faye Turner calling. The man’s thin lips press together, his deep-set eyes squint slightly, and he turns his gaze to the window.

Sure enough, he sees that girl not far away!

Faye points to the phone, signaling him to answer, with a smile on her face!

Adrian Lancaster feels a bit annoyed but answers anyway, "Talk."

"Just answer whatever Rachel asks, doesn’t matter how you answer, you have to answer! Since you’re here, just go with it!"

Faye frowns slightly, "Otherwise, you two shouldn’t have come out! Oh, and let me remind you, you have a meeting at one this afternoon, a very important one!"

"Faye!" Adrian Lancaster is filled with anger, but he restrains himself, given that he’s still on camera.

The girl grins at him through the glass, "We’ll settle whatever scores later, you can even kill me if you like, but you have to help Rachel out today! I beg you, Mr. Lancaster!"

Adrian Lancaster can’t be bothered to argue with her and hangs up the phone directly!

But when he looks at Rachel Sherman, he helplessly suppresses his anger, and with a cold voice says, "Ask away."

"Why did you choose a flash marriage? Is there something different about Mrs. Lancaster compared to other women?" Rachel asks softly.

Adrian Lancaster chuckles in frustration and says directly—

"She is the woman my grandfather likes, and since my grandfather is the person I care about the most, I married her. It’s just that simple. Anything else you want to ask?"

Rachel Sherman is shocked by this answer, and at the same time, emotions surge within her.

Seeing that she has no more questions, Adrian Lancaster stands up, and Rachel doesn’t ask him to stay, "Thank you for your answers, Mr. Lancaster."

The coffee on the table has gone cold; he hasn’t taken a single sip. As he turns to leave, his tall back exudes an even colder aura than when he entered.

The chain outside the door has already been removed, and Adrian Lancaster steps out, not seeing that woman who doesn’t know what’s good for her!

He’s in a hurry to deal with work, so he doesn’t bother looking for her.

He opens the Lamborghini door, swiftly slips inside, and with a press of the accelerator, the car speeds away!

Rachel sits by the window, watching the car disappear into the distance, unable to clear her mind for a long time.

The interview with Mr. Lancaster is done, and she can report to the editor-in-chief, but she doesn’t feel happy at all.

Rachel walks into the editor-in-chief’s office. The editor-in-chief, having watched the interview footage, is delighted, sipping tea and chuckling, "These last two questions about relationships are really eye-catching!"

"Editor-in-chief, could we not broadcast the last two questions?" She wants to save some face for Faye Turner.

The editor-in-chief’s smile fades, and with a serious look, he says, "How can we cut the most interesting parts? Do you even understand how to manage this? No, you don’t. Now go! You’ve completed your task."

"Editor-in-chief..."

"Get out!" The middle-aged man glares at her sternly, "Don’t you want to become permanent?"

"..." Rachel is angry but powerless.

Meanwhile, back at the office, Faye Turner sits at her desk in the design department, feeling guilty about what she did today.

So, her heart is uneasy, even though she helped Rachel a lot, and her job is stable now.

She’s worried Adrian Lancaster will come looking for trouble with her.
