Chapter 471: You Finally Came Back (Part 1)

Chapter 471: You Finally Came Back (Part 1)

Qiao Zi didn’t know if it was the hotpot that was the problem, or if her stomach just couldn’t handle such spiciness anymore and started to rebel.

Back at the hotel, Su Anle started running to the bathroom and spent almost the whole night there. Li Weiwei went out to buy her some medicine, but it seemed to have little effect.

It wasn’t until nearly five in the morning that things finally settled down a bit. She managed to sleep a little and then had to get up to catch a flight.

"Sister Su, are you feeling any better?"

Li Weiwei asked with her toothbrush in her mouth, unclear in her speech. Su Anle nodded: "A bit better."

She wasn’t having diarrhea anymore, but after such a troublesome night, her face had no color at all. Coupled with not resting well, there were two dark circles under her eyes, making her look like a ghost.

"Sister Su, I’ve finished washing, you can go ahead."

Su Anle nodded and went into the bathroom, took a quick shower, changed her clothes, and when she came out, she saw Li Weiwei standing in front of her suitcase with a bunch of things in her arms, smiling at her: "Hehe, Sister Su, I can’t fit everything, can I borrow your suitcase to pack a bit?"

She hadn’t brought much, just a few change of clothes and some documents, leaving the suitcase more than half empty. She nodded: "Go ahead and pack."

"Sister Su, you’re the best."

Li Weiwei stuffed the things she’d bought into Su Anle’s suitcase. The two of them packed up almost completely, and although the time was still early, to prevent getting stuck in traffic, they decided to head out earlier.

Over three years, many things might have changed, but the traffic congestion in B City remained the same.

Su Anle and Li Weiwei left the hotel but hadn’t gone far when the car got stuck in traffic.

"Sister Su, you were right to think ahead. Good thing we left early, look at how bad this traffic is."

Su Anle didn’t respond. It was rush hour; how could there not be a traffic jam?

She casually glanced out the window. The car was moving at a snail’s pace.

Suddenly, her eyes stopped. On the other side of the road, the grand and imposing building, with the words "Shengshi Group," were particularly dazzling in the morning sunlight.

It was the landmark of this city, and also the center of the business empire.

As dazzling as ever.

Su Anle withdrew her gaze indifferently, but Li Weiwei was excited next to her: "Sister Su, look, it’s the Shengshi Group. Wow, it’s so impressive."

Su Anle didn’t respond. She just wanted to leave here quickly, to get around this building as soon as possible.

Heaven seemed to hear her voice, as the congested traffic ahead started to speed up. A black Bentley brushed past them on the other side of the divider.

Sheng Jianan had a contract signing today, but the documents were left at the company. He had been living in an apartment downtown for years, so getting the documents was much quicker than it would be for Qiao Zi. After picking up the documents and coming downstairs, he put on his headphones, made a call to Qiao Zi, and started the car.

The signing was near the pedestrian street, and when Sheng Jianan arrived, Qiao Zi was already there waiting: "Boss, everything is ready, please go ahead."

Sheng Jianan, with a steady gaze, stepped inside. From entering to completing the signing, he declined the lunch invitation from the other party, and the whole process took less than an hour.

The large screen high above the pedestrian street was broadcasting the morning news. Sheng Jianan came out, walked straight to his car, turned around, opened the door, and paused...

Qiao Zi had driven herself and parked not far behind Sheng Jianan’s car. She was about to get in when she saw her boss standing there dumbfounded, holding the car door with one hand.
