Were you mine?

Chapter 78-My love

Chapter 78-My love

Jake's POV

There was strange hesitation in her eyes that I didn't understand. I didn't want to.

I seized the moment. Without thinking, I pulled Lea closer and kissed her, pouring all my desperation,my love, and my regret into that kiss. Lea resisted at first, her body tense, but then she melted against me, her hands clutching my shirt as if anchoring herself.

"Jake," she whispered trying to breathe between the kiss, "This won't solve anything."

"I know," I murmured, as my lips trailing down her neck. "But I need you, Lea. I need you so much. But if you want you can stop me. But I beg you not to. " Her response was a soft moan, her hands tangling in my hair. "I've missed you too. Too much to be exact," she finally admitted, her breath hitching as my hands roamed her body. "But it's so complicated."

"We'll figure it out," I promised. And I wanted to assure her that I meant it. Every word. "Together."

The car windows fogged up as our kisses grew more urgent, our need for each other overcoming all rational thought. My hands were everywhere, memorizing the feel of her, as if afraid she would disappear again."Jake, we shouldn't..." she tried to say, but I silenced her with another kiss, my hands pulling her closer.

"Don't think, Lea," I whispered against her lips. "Just feel." We moved together, our bodies fitting perfectly like two halves of a whole. Each touch, each kiss was filled with the intensity of our emotions, the unspoken words, and the deep-seated need to be close again.

“Lea,” I whispered, my voice husky with longing. “I’ve missed you so much.”

She responded with a wild moan sending a jolt between my thighs as her fingers traced the contours of my face. “I’ve missed you too, Jake. Every day felt like a lifetime.” That was all I needed to hear. My hands moved gently, reverently over her body, memorizing every curve, every shiver of her skin. “You’re so beautiful.Even more than I remember,” I murmured, my lips brushing against her collarbone. “I never stopped loving you, not for a second. You have no idea how I spent these three years. It was worse than hell. ”

Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at me, her voice trembling. “I thought I’d lost you forever. I didn’t know how to go on.”

“We’re here now,” I said, holding her closer, trying to comfort her. “We have this moment, and I don’t want to waste it.”I kissed her again, slow and deep, our tongues tangling in a dance of need and desire. My hands found the hem of her dress, lifting it slowly, my fingers grazing her skin and sending shivers down her spine.

“Jake,” she gasped, her hands clutching at my shoulders. “I need you.” She was shaking, her head tilting back, eyes closed. She looked like the epitome of beauty where my world could end.

“I’m here,” I whispered, my breath hot against her ear. “I’m not going anywhere.”Our movements became more urgent, our need for each other overwhelming. My hands roamed her body, touching, caressing. My lips followed, kissing a trail down her neck, across her shoulders, and over her chest.

Lea’s fingers dug in my hair, pulling me closer. “Please, Jake,” she pleaded, her voice breaking. “Don’t stop.”

“I won’t,” I promised, my voice thick with emotion. “I could never stop loving you.”I lifted her dress higher, sliding it over her head and tossing it aside. My eyes darkened with desire as I looked at her, taking in every detail. “You’re perfect,” I whispered, my hands trailing down her sides, making her shiver.

She reached for me, pulling me closer, needing to feel my skin against hers. “I need you, Jake. All of you.”

I complied, quickly discarding my own clothes until we were skin to skin, our bodies pressed together. I kissed her again, slower this time, savoring the taste of her lips, the feel of her body beneath mine. Our hands explored each other, rediscovering familiar paths, creating new ones. Every touch was filled with the intensity of our longing, the sadness of our separation, and the joy of our reunion. It was like a ballad, beautiful, painful and sexy at the same time.

“Lea,” I whispered, my voice cracking. “I love you so much. I can’t lose you again.” I knew how vulnerable she was in that moment. I had to seize the opportunity.

She looked into my eyes, her own splashing with tears. “I love you too, Jake. I never stopped. Even when everything was falling apart, you were always in my heart.” I kissed her deeply, pouring all my love, regret, and hope into that kiss. Our bodies moved together in a slow, sensual rhythm, each movement filled with a tender, aching need.

“Jake,” she moaned, her nails digging into my back. “You are my everything. Please, don’t let go.”

“Never,” I vowed, my voice trembling. “I’ll never let you go again.” And I made love to her. Like I never had. Like it was our first time.Like we were back in our old days.

Our lovemaking was slow and tender, a reunion of souls that had been torn apart and finally found their way back to each other. Every touch, every kiss was a promise of love and devotion, a silent vow to never be separated again.

As we moved together, our breaths mingling, our hearts beating in sync, the world outside ceased to exist. It was just us, lost in our love, our need, our sorrow, and our hope for a future together. We had no sense of time or place. The seconds, minutes and hours all lost their relevance. We were lost in the true sense of the word.

***

We lay wrapped onto each other as the horizon lightened.

The sun peeked , casting a soft, golden light over us. We still lay entwined, our bodies glistening with sweat, our breaths slowing as we came down from our emotional and physical high.“Lea,” I whispered, my voice filled with emotion. “I promise you, we’ll make this work. We’ll find a way.”

She nodded. I could feel her tears. She was still crying. She had been crying through the night. All this while I had only been bothered about how I felt. How I missed her. My misery. But I couldn't fathom how lonely she was. How was she coping. “I am trying to believe you, Jake... " She whimpered.

We stayed like that, holding each other, as the sun climbed higher, bathing us in its warm glow. In that moment, nothing else mattered but our love and the promise of a future together, free from the pain and sorrow that had kept us apart for so long.

" Lea, I love you! " I whispered.

She looked up at me, "I love you too, Jake. But..."

"No buts," I interrupted gently kissing her again. "We'll figure this out. We'll make it work. I promise.Somehow.Any how. Like you want it to work. "

She nodded, resting her head against my chest. "Okay," she whispered. "We'll try... but before anything... I need to tell you something... I don't know if I should have told you earlier... I can't hide it anymore. You need to know. “
