Chapter 42 My Mistake?
Chapter 42 My Mistake?
Jake's POV
We pulled up to her apartment, and she helped me out of the car, practically carrying me inside. I felt a wave of shame wash over me, but I was too far gone to resist.
She got me to the couch and sat me down, her eyes scanning my face. “Jake, you’re better than this,” she said softly. “You can’t let them break you.”
I managed a weak nod, the reality of my situation slowly sinking in. Rosa was right. I couldn’t let this destroy me. But right now, all I could do was try to survive the night.
“Stay here,” she said, standing up. “I’ll get you some water.”I watched her go, feeling a strange mix of gratitude and despair. She didn’t have to help me, but she did. Maybe, just maybe, I could find a way out of this darkness. With Rosa’s help.
She handed me a glass of water, and I gulped it down, feeling a slight clarity returning."Jake,” Rosa said, sitting down next to me. “...you’re not alone in this.”I looked at her, my vision blurring and sharpening in waves. “Thanks, Rosa. I don’t know what I would do without you.”
She smiled, but there was something in her eyes, a glint that made me uneasy. “You know, Jake, you don’t have to be alone tonight. You deserve better than what Lea did to you.”I nodded, the anger bubbling up again.
Rosa moved closer, her hand resting on my knee. “You should get back at them, Jake. Show them that you’re not someone to mess with.”Her words stirred something inside me, a dark, vengeful part that I didn’t know existed. “What do you mean?”
She leaned in, her breath warm against my ear. “I mean, why not show them that you can have fun too? Why not show Lea what she’s missing?”I blinked, trying to process her words through the haze. “You mean…?”
Rosa’s smile was almost predatory. “Yeah, Jake. Why not? She hurt you. You deserve a night of revenge.Besides,it's not even our first time.” She bit her lips.
My heart pounded, the idea both repulsive and strangely appealing. “But…I don’t know if that’s…”
She cut me off, her fingers trailing up my thigh. “Jake, she’s already with Phill. She’s moved on. Why shouldn’t you?”
Her touch sent a jolt through me, a mix of desire and confusion. The drugs in my system made it hard to think clearly, to resist. “I…I guess you’re right.”
Rosa’s eyes sparkled with triumph. “Of course I’m right. Let me take care of you tonight, Jake. Let me make you forget.”
Before I could respond, she pressed her lips to mine, her kiss insistent and demanding. I hesitated for a moment, but the mix of anger, drugs, and desperation overwhelmed any resistance I might have had. I kissed her back, my hands finding their way to her waist. She pulled me closer, her body warm against mine. “That’s it, Jake. Just let go. Forget about Lea.”
Her words were like a mantra, sinking into my foggy mind. I kissed her harder, my hands exploring her curves. Rosa moaned softly, her fingers tangling in my hair. The room seemed to spin faster, the lines between right and wrong blurring beyond recognition. “Rosa,” I muttered, my voice thick with desire. “Are you sure about this?”
She pulled back slightly, her eyes dark and intense. “I’ve never been more sure. You need this, Jake. We both do.”Her hands moved to the hem of her shirt, pulling it over her head and tossing it aside. She stood up, offering me her hand. “Come on, let’s take this to the bedroom.”
I hesitated for a moment, the last vestiges of doubt clinging to me. But the need to escape, to lose myself in something other than the pain, was too strong. I took her hand, letting her lead me to the bedroom. She pushed me onto the bed, her movements confident.
I watched, entranced, as she stripped off the rest of her clothes, her body illuminated by the dim light. “Your turn,” she said, her voice husky.I fumbled with my shirt, my fingers clumsy. Rosa helped me, her hands deftly removing my clothes until I was as bare as she was. She climbed onto the bed, straddling me, her eyes locked onto mine.
“This is your night, Jake,” she whispered, her hips grinding against me as she sat on my lap. “Forget about everything else. Just focus on me."I groaned, my hands gripping her hips as she moved. The sensation was overwhelming, a tidal wave of pleasure and release. Rosa’s moans mixed with mine, the sound filling the room.
“Rosa,” I gasped, my mind a whirlwind of sensation. “This is…this is crazy.”
She smiled down at me, her hands trailing down my chest. “Crazy can be good, Jake. Just let go.”
I did. I let go of the anger, the pain, the betrayal. I lost myself in Rosa, in the heat and the urgency of our movements. The world outside ceased to exist, leaving only the two of us in a cocoon of desire.
Her movements became more frantic, her breath coming in short gasps. “Jake, don’t stop,” she pleaded, her nails digging into my skin.I flipped us over, pinning her beneath me, my own need taking over. “I won’t stop,” I growled, my voice rough. “I need this.”
Rosa’s eyes fluttered close, her body arching against mine. “Yes, Jake. Take me."
We moved together, a frenzied dance of lust.
The bed creaked beneath us, the room filled with the sounds of our passion. I felt a sense of power, of control, that I hadn’t felt in so long. It was intoxicating, consuming.Rosa cried out, her body shuddering beneath me. Her climax triggered my own, a wave of intense pleasure crashing over me. I collapsed on top of her, our bodies slick with sweat, our breaths mingling. For a moment, we lay there in silence, the afterglow wrapping around us like a blanket. Then, Rosa gently pushed me off, rolling onto her side to face me. “Feel better?” she asked, a hint of a smile on her lips.
I stared at her, my mind slowly clearing. The reality of what we’d done began to sink in, but the anger and pain still lingered.Nothing had actually changed.Nothing helped. “I don’t know,” I admitted, my voice raw. “But it was…something.”
She nodded, her fingers tracing patterns on my chest. “Sometimes, that’s all you need. Something to make you feel alive again.”
I sighed, closing my eyes. “Maybe. But what about tomorrow?”Rosa’s fingers stilled, and she leaned in to kiss me softly. “We’ll deal with tomorrow when it comes. " She turned around and went to sleep.
I closed my eyes as well. But the moment I did, she was back ruling my senses, she was all that came to my vision. Her smile, her tears, her gentle innocence. My Lea. She was all that I could ever think of as I dozed off to sleep.
