Wasting Money to Become an Immortal

Chapter 464: Bribing the people (6)

Chapter 464: Bribing the people (6)

After handing the money to the kid, he ran off to take care of the matter that I entrusted to him.

As for us, we just casually headed back to the same market street as before.

Once we were there, I waved my hand at Gao Fu Shuai and the other lackeys to send them off.

They didn’t say a single word since they already knew what they had to do and they went off to take care of it without any hesitation.

When they came back, the stall was all set up and there was even breakfast that had been prepared on the side.

Mu Bao Bao didn’t waste any time when she saw this and immediately started stuffing her face.

As for me, I just sat down at the stall and waited for a bit.

As I waited, there were people that started showing up at this market street.

I wasn’t surprised to see all these people coming and I was even less surprised by the things that they were holding. After all, these were the real things that I was after, these were the things that I was doing all of this for.

Once they came, they started looking around until they saw us sitting there and came over to see what was happening.

However, it didn’t seem like anyone was willing to be the first one that stepped forward as they all waited for someone else to go first. After all, it was clear that they had their doubts about whatever was happening here.

I just calmly waited until someone finally couldn’t take it anymore.

"Are you the one that’s buying anything and everything?" That person who came up asked this.

Looking at him, I gave a nod before saying, "That’s right. As long as you have something to sell to me, I have money to buy it."

There was still a look of doubt on his face when he heard this, but he eventually brought out the item that he had been holding. He placed it in front of me and said, "What about this? How much can you give me for this?"

I didn’t reach out to take it as I just calmly looked at it for a bit before saying, "Ten small."

Then with a snap of my fingers, Gao Fu Shuai came forward to hand a bag to the man.

He looked at the bag that was being offered to him with a doubtful look, but that look of doubt soon disappeared from his face when he saw what was inside of the bag.

He looked up at me as if he wasn’t sure if this was correct, but I just simply gave a nod to confirm it.

Even then, he had to ask, "Are you really sure about this?"

Once again, I gave another nod before saying, "You should know the value of your own item, so there shouldn’t be a mistake."

"No mistake, there’s no mistake at all...It’s just that isn’t this too much?" The man couldn’t help asking in a confused voice.

I just calmly said, "Like I said this, this is what the value of your item is. There’s no need to deny that."

In the end, the man accepted the bag, but it was clear that he was very grateful for what he had received as he kept thanking me.

Then as he walked away, he showed everyone else what he received.

"Ten Low Grade Spirit Jades?"

They were all shocked when they saw what was inside of the bag.

After all, they knew what the item that the man had brought forward was.

It was nothing more than a simple Transcendence Realm Artifact and it wasn’t even a useful one. This kind of thing wasn’t even worth a single Low Grade Spirit Jade to begin with.

But this young master actually paid ten times the price to buy it for ten Low Grade Spirit Jade.

It was only natural that the owner of the item would be shocked by this price.

This was simply beyond being generous, this was to the point where he was just wasting money.

That was actually what I was doing.

It was a pity that I couldn’t waste more money than this since the system wouldn’t count it towards my points after that amount.

Once that person finished selling their item, there was no more hesitation from the crowd as they came forward to sell the items that they brought as well.

No matter which item they brought forward, they were all satisfied with the price.

After all it was always exactly ten times more than what their item was actually worth.

For these items that had been cluttering up their homes taking up space, it was better to just sell them since they couldn’t be used. These were items that had been passed down through generations, these were items that couldn’t be used by the people of this generation.

That was just how it went sometimes.

Even if the ancestor was talented at cultivating, that didn’t mean that the descendant would be the same.

As such, there were times where the descendants were far lacking compared to the ancestor and they didn’t have the capability to use these items.

So they were happy to sell them off at such a high price.

But it wasn’t just the high price that surprised them, there was still the fact that this young master was honest.

"A hundred big ones."

When everyone heard something that was different from what they were used to hearing, they couldn’t help coming over to see what was happening.

And when the person received the money, he couldn’t help asking in a shocked voice, "Young master, are you sure about this? This is just a piece of junk that’s been taking up space in my shed, this certainly isn’t worth this much."

Holding up the piece of jade that I received, I said with a faint smile, "This is worth far more than you can imagine."
