Chapter 290 - 289: The Counterattack Begins

Chapter 290 - 289: The Counterattack Begins

When Director Ford got angry, even the assistant director of the crew was scared.

Everyone looked at each other, and no one dared to intervene.

Bella lowered her head and apologized, "I’m sorry, Director Ford, I’ll be more careful in the future."

"As a professional actor, you should have the professional ethics expected of an actor. Don’t bring all sorts of chaotic things into the crew!" Seeing her sincere attitude in admitting her mistake, Director Ford’s anger finally subsided a bit.

Others who heard Director Ford were more surprised than anything else.

As a newcomer, Bella wasn’t even considered a real actor yet. But Director Ford was holding her to the standards of a professional actor.

What does this indicate?

It indicates that Director Ford values this newcomer!

Sharon Cheney and Archer Quinn also understood this point, which is why they didn’t immediately stand up to speak for Bella.

On the side, Vivian Norris ground her teeth in anger, almost unable to hide her fury at Bella.

Bella bowed and apologized to everyone around, "I’m really sorry; it’s my personal reason for troubling everyone. I’m really sorry."

Seeing this, Sharon felt a pang in her heart and spoke up, "Bella didn’t know someone would come to the set to cause trouble. She doesn’t even know the reason. Director Ford, please don’t scold her any more."

Archer Quinn also said, "Director Ford, unexpected situations are inevitable at work, and no one can control them. You’ve consistently seen Bella working hard on set, and you should know she’s not the kind of person who causes trouble for the crew. Let’s let this matter go."

Director Ford rolled his eyes at Archer Quinn, then looked at Sharon, "I wasn’t even planning to do anything to her, and yet you two are already pleading for her. If I really did something to her, would you two go on strike?"

Archer Quinn smiled, "Director Ford is joking."

"Alright, alright, let it not happen again," Director Ford waved and said, "Don’t let personal matters interfere with work. Everyone get ready. Let’s redo that scene we just shot."

This was more like thunder but no rain; if he were truly angry, he could have said even harsher things.

Everyone dispersed, and Bella quietly said, "Godmother, Senior Quinn, thank you for speaking up for me."

Archer Quinn smiled, "You still don’t understand Director Ford. If he were really angry, no one could persuade him."

Sharon nodded, "By scolding you a bit, those who were a bit resentful would let it go and not blame you anymore. Come on, let’s redo our scene."

"Really?" Bella patted her chest with lingering fear and said, "I was really scared by Director Ford’s anger just now."

"So timid?" Sharon smiled at her.

"Hehe, mainly because I knew I was wrong and did something wrong, so naturally I’m a bit guilty," Bella replied.

Archer Quinn asked, "Bella, was that girl just now the one who was looking for you at the hotel last time?"

"Yes, her name is Bella," Bella replied, "She’s actually quite nice, just looks a bit fierce."

Seeing she didn’t want to elaborate, Archer Quinn felt a slight disappointment but ultimately didn’t ask more.

Bella and Sharon went over together to continue shooting the earlier scene.

Vivian Norris’s assistant quickly walked over, leaned into Vivian’s ear, and said, "Vivi, photos have been released online, look." With that, they handed over the phone.

Vivian Norris grabbed the phone, saw the comparison photos released online, and frowned, "How did it happen so quickly?"
