After retrieving the demon core, Ping Liuyan wiped the blood off her sword and stored the glowing orb in her spatial ring. She seemed calmer now, with a hint of pride flickering in her eyes.

Li Xueli clapped lightly. "Not bad. You’ve improved."

Ping Liuyan glanced at Emrys, secretly hoping for some praise, but he simply nodded and said, "Your footwork was impressive. But don’t get careless next time."

Ping Liuyan pouted slightly but didn’t argue. She knew she truly was careless earlier. She took the demon by surprise and could have ended the battle in three or four moves.

But what did she do?

She continued poking the demon’s skin instead of using her skills and strength to immediately get rid of the demon. This could have given the demon a chance to counterattack or erupt with an even stronger power that could have injured her.

They once again resumed their journey.

As the trio continued deeper into the forest, the trees grew larger, their branches entwined with thick vines that glowed faintly in the dark. At the same time, strange cries could be heard coming from afar.

Its eyes were glowing with crimson light, and its aura was surging wildly. The pressure it emitted was far above what Li Xueli and Ping Liuyan could handle. This aura had a direct impact on their body and soul.

Emrys was better than the two of them, mainly due to his powerful physique that is tempered by two cultivation paths, and his powerful soul that is stronger than any World Master due to following the path of Soul Cultivation.

Moreover, the Laws of Eternity were absolute and far more powerful than any laws found in Cosmic Fields, and they suppressed everything.

This overwhelming strength of space and laws was the very reason his Aura of Brilliance was restrained. In fact, there was no such thing as Aura of Brilliance in Eternity. Not a single Spiritas or Soul Master had ever awakened it here. It existed only in Spiritarium, and perhaps that was because Spiritarium wasn’t a naturally born realm; it was a Cosmic Field artificially created by someone. That might explain why soul cultivators there could awaken powers unknown to this vast and ancient starry sky.

As Emrys released his Aura of Brilliance, golden light wrapped around Li Xueli and Ping Liuyan, forming a powerful barrier. Moreover, there was not one but five layers of this barrier.
