Chapter 342: Ch 342: The Letter (1)
Chapter 342: Ch 342: The Letter (1)
Emrys read the words written on the wall. Someone seemed to be telling their own story.
Obviously, it is that faceless silhouette’s story.
"I was born when the Vast Expanse of Eternity was but a fledgling void. It was barely able to cradle the dreams of existence. There were no stars, no worlds, no life. Only the endless breath of nothingness and me with eight other Primordials. We nine Primordials later came to be known as the Primordial Ancestors."
"What no one knows is, we Primordials are but the fruits fallen from the Tree of Origin."
"What is Tree of Origin?"
"Well, this is not a topic to be talked about through a short message. Right, Emrys Frazier?"
The moment Emrys read the message up to this point, his body trembled involuntarily. After all, who wouldn’t be shaken to suddenly see their own name mentioned in a message left behind countless eons ago?
Moreover, the one who had left this message was actually a Primordial.
It was truly astonishing!
It was clear that this message had been left specifically for him by the faceless silhouette. This also meant that when she left this message here, she had already foreseen that he would one day arrive and read it.
Wait a minute!
Emrys suddenly realized that this temple had been built by someone else. It was not by the faceless silhouette, who was supposed to be a beautiful woman. It was the founder of this small village who had created the temple.
This meant that the message had likely been left behind by that man.
But then, was that man truly a Primordial?
If so, how had he died of old age?
Emrys shook his head firmly an instant later, realizing that he was getting off track. This message didn’t seem to have anything to do with the village founder.
’Whatever, I should read all the messages first,’ Emrys muttered inwardly and focused on the words written on the wall again.
"I am one of the Primordials, born at the very beginning of Eternity itself. I opened my eyes when the Vast Expanse of Eternity was still a fledgling void, not the boundless sea of stars it has become today."
"I came into existence alongside eight other Primordials. From that moment on, around a hundred new Primordials were born every thousand years."
"I witnessed the rise of the Primordials and I bore witness to their downfall."
"I was one of the true ancestors of Cosmic Cultivation. Together with eight other Primordials, we created a cultivation system different from the path of the Primordials. We called it the ’Cosmic Cultivation System,’ and we passed this method to almost all the other races born in the Vast Expanse after us."
"Among all the other races born after us, there was only one race whose brilliance could rival the Primordials themselves, and they were the Spiritas. They were born with their own unique cultivation system that was separate from ours. It is a pity that they were born much later, with too little time to mature and realize their full potential."
"By the time the Spiritas race stood on the brink of touching the true peak of Eternity, a great disaster shattered the Vast Expanse itself. All who had walked the path of Cosmic Cultivation were destroyed in that calamity. Even we, the creators of the Cosmic Cultivation System, could not escape the storm of ruin."
"The Spiritas, too, was caught in the maelstrom. They were caught in the maelstrom not because they followed Cosmic Cultivation, but because of their stupendous potential. The one who brought the disaster to the Vast Expanse of Eternity feared them and sought to erase them completely."
"Yet fate did not abandon them. A hidden hand intervened at the critical moment, saving the Spiritas from annihilation."
"To those who know of that disaster, it is believed that the Spiritas were saved by the "Sage," the greatest genius among Cosmic Cultivators. But the truth is known only to us, the surviving Primordials. Only we know that there has always been an unseen watcher, an existence older than even the beginning of time. This existence has been watching over Eternity from the very beginning. It was that hidden entity who saved the seeds of the Spiritas and even forged a Cosmic Field to shelter them."
Honestly, Emrys knew a few things described here. However, many things he knew were completely different.
He recalled his talk with Radcliffe, the great mechanical life who is also the protector of the Arkhaven, a mother battleship in the fragmented Cosmic World.
As far as he knew, Sage was the very first person who developed his own way of cultivation and rose to the apex of eternity, challenging those who hide in the shadows, only to be obliterated completely. [Ref. Ch - 187.]
There is also the matter of Cosmic Cultivation.
The Spiritas Race, Mechanical Race, and a few other races were born a few thousand years before the Primordial Race was completely destroyed.
Those races who appeared a few thousand years before the destruction of the Primordial Race developed a new cultivation system and they called it the Cosmic Cultivation System. Based on this cultivation system, they gave the name of Cosmic Civilization to themselves.
There is also the Spiritas Race.
As far as Emrys knew, Spiritas Race was almost wiped out because they supported Sage. Sage didn’t want that to happen so he created a Spiritarium and hid the remaining Spiritas there, saving them from extinction. [Ref. Ch - 187.]
Moreover, Sage was never cultivated in the Cosmic Cultivation System. He developed his own cultivation system and cultivated in it. This is also why he was called the Great Sage by all the races of that era.
However, according to the faceless silhouette, she was one of the creators of the Cosmic Cultivation System. Sage was cultivated in the Cosmic Cultivation System and was the greatest genius of all time.
It was not the Sage but a hidden entity who created Spiritarium and saved the Spiritas Race.
Many things that Emrys knew were completely different from what was told to him by the faceless silhouette through this letter.
If she is telling the truth, it means the words spoken by Radcliffe could not be trusted. He told him a lie.
Who was right and who was wrong, Emrys didn’t know. And there was no way for him to verify it.
