Chapter 328: Ch 328: The View of Spiritarium
Chapter 328: Ch 328: The View of Spiritarium
Emrys thought for a while and decided to learn a few Soul Arts first.
In order to do that, he has to visit a city or a place where Soul Arts are being sold. So, he released his Divine Sense.
As Emrys released his Divine Sense, an invisible wave of spiritual power spread out like a silent storm, sweeping across billions of miles of land in an instant. Mountains, valleys, rivers, and skies...everything was laid bare before his eyes.
It was at this moment the Spiritarium revealed its terrifying vastness to him. It appeared almost boundless.
In his view, Emrys saw raging seas glowing with Soul Energy, where colossal Sea Beasts were swimming under the waves. Their auras were terrifying. He also saw giant whirlpools spinning endlessly in the ocean depths, and within them, shadows of massive soul formations flickered like submerged temples.
As far as he could guess, it must be an ancient remnant left behind by who knows how many years.
These formations were powerful and inscribed with millions of ancient Divine Runes, which were on the same level as what he had comprehended from the Ascension Gate.
Emrys knew right away that this place must be very important. Perhaps, he should go and explore it.
But he was not in a hurry.
He continued to observe everything within billions of miles.
He saw sky islands floating above endless clouds. Each island had a unique ecosystem and energy signature. On one of these islands, he saw a massive Soul Tree pulsing with divine light. This tree’s leaves were shimmering with countless natural runes. Beneath it, hundreds of Spiritas, the weakest of them being Beginner Ethereal Mist Soul Master, were sitting cross-legged while absorbing the tree’s energy with devotion to cultivate their Soul Energy.
Somewhere else, Emrys saw gigantic Soul Beasts battling one another in a land of thunder. Their battle was so intense that they tore through the skies, and their howls shook the space itself. These gigantic Soul Beasts were also known as King Soul Beasts in Spiritarium. They have existed for millions of years, and their strength in essence had already closed in to the peak of Supreme Sovereign Realm.
Even from a distance, just the fluctuation born from their clash could make weaker Soul Masters tremble or even vomit blood before dying.
The appearance of these beasts immediately caused Emrys’s eyes to light up. He even wanted to join in their battle and kill them. But then again, he hesitated. He did not want to kill wantonly.
There must be a reason for him to go on a killing spree.
In the end, Emrys shook his head and focused elsewhere.
He saw countless cities of various sizes scattered across the land, some glowing with vibrant life, others in the middle of ruin and war. He saw the army of Soul Masters clashing in crimson fields where Soul Demons invaded in massive tides. He witnessed the explosions of Soul Arts lit up the skies like fireworks, illuminating the horrors of battle as blood sprayed everywhere. He saw giant flying fortresses hovering over the battlefield, raining down beams of destruction.
The view of such large-scale war again caused Emrys’s eyes to light up. He knew this was an opportunity. He can go there and kill Soul Demons at will. There is no need to think twice before killing them.
After all, Soul Demons are different from Soul Masters and Soul Beasts. They are demonic beings ruled by their demonic nature. Killing them is far better than leaving them alive, for they might bring destruction wherever they go.
Soul Demons like Serafina, who can suppress their demonic nature, are rare. There might not be one such Soul Demon in a million.
Emrys now knew his next stop. It is this large-scale battlefield.
But, for now, he continued to observe. His line of sight was billions of miles in radius. It is not a small land that can be explored in an instant. Even with Divine Sense, it takes time to explore everything.
He shifted the view to a different place.
It was a desert of black sand.
In this desert, Emrys saw a massive Soul Beast Skeleton buried under the dunes that were taller than mountains. There was an ancient monument standing at its heart. Some ancient words were written on this monument, but Emrys could not read them. This language was different from any he knew.
He also sensed hidden Soul Realms sealed behind barriers. He sensed pocket dimensions with stable and unstable laws. He saw treasures waiting to be discovered.
Among all these sights, Emrys’s eyes also landed on the largest city he had seen so far.
It was like a world of its own.
This city was floating above a sea of clouds. There were countless giant Soul Arrays inscribed with glowing ancient characters which were also the main source holding this entire city up in the sky. The city walls were forged from an unknown black and gold alloy, which appeared to be indestructible and majestic. There were thousands of flying ships hovering around the city.
Right at the center of the city, there was a tall tower.
Emrys could not tell, but he sensed something special about this tower that was connected to this entire city.
Perhaps, he would know it if he viewed this city with the perspective of God.
Nevertheless, his Divine Sense was enough for now.
Above the main gate of this city, three majestic characters were glowing: Astral Soul City.
"This city would be my second destination!" Emrys immediately decided, and then again shifted his attention to the city that has long since turned into a battlefield.
Without hesitation, Emrys locked onto the battlefield, and the next moment, space around him twisted slightly.
Just like that, he vanished.
A heartbeat later, "BOOM", Emrys appeared and punched out. His punch produced shockwaves that instantly tore apart hundreds of Soul Demons who were about to kill twenty or so Soul Masters.
Strangely enough, those Soul Masters were not affected by the shockwaves at all.
If one were to sense, they would feel a foreign energy wrapping around these Soul Masters, protecting them from the explosive power of the punch.
The foreign energy was Cosmic Energy used by Emrys to protect these people’s lives. Otherwise, their fate would have been similar to that of Soul Demons.
