Chapter 231: Ch 231: A Small Dispute

Emrys was wandering in the Gale Ridge City, gathering information about the grand auction about to be held in the Gale Pvilion.

He learned that the auction would begin in two days. In other words, he still has two days in hand to do whatever he wants in the city.

During the time he exterminated all the evils in the Grand Flame Kingdom, he also robbed them of all their credit. He forced all the powerful individuals to transfer their credits to him before killing them. Just like that, the credits in his account reached the number of trillions, which was quite a lot even for a major power in the Phoenix Cry Kingdom that is actually much stronger than the Great Flame Kingdom in terms of power and strength.

Glowing Star Soul Masters are the strongest in the Infinite Soul Star. Anyone can only cultivate a Glowing Golden Star Soul Master in this world, and such experts were already present in the Phoenix Cry Kingdom.

Actually, there was no need for Emrys to be worried. He can enter the Gale Pavilion Auction House anytime he wants and no one will be able to stop him, but he doesn’t want to do. There is no need to forcefully enter.

Only after a person cultivates to the level of a Glowing Star Soul Master can they sense this fluctuation, thus only such a person is capable of entering the Celestial Horizon.

Coming back to the point, Emrys simply wanted to obtain an invitation to enter the auction house. Of course, if he is unable to find an invitation before the auction starts, he will use a different but direct method.

He was currently walking on the streets of Gale Ridge City when his gaze fell on a group of people. Some sort of dispute seemed to have occurred there, for Emrys could hear people arguing.

At first, Emrys didn’t pay much attention, but then he noticed a familiar figure among the people engaged in a heated argument. It was none other than Andrea, the same person Emrys had seen two days ago, discovering and purchasing the pearl brimming with dense Soul Force.

Now, Andrea was holding a small bamboo stick. It appeared quite ordinary at first glance, but the moment Emrys’s gaze landed on it, he sensed an immense source of lightning power radiating from the stick. This bamboo stick was also the cause of the dispute between two groups of people.

"What kind of luck does this person have?" Emrys muttered to himself. He was intrigued. "A few days ago, he managed to find that pearl, and now this bamboo stick. Is it just pure luck, or could there be something more special about this person?"

His curiosity about Andrea grew as he observed the situation.

As Emrys observed from a distance, the argument between the two groups grew louder. Andrea, holding the bamboo stick, stood with Laura and Caruso. Caruso didn’t reveal his identity this time, he was silently watching the scene unfold. Obviously, this matter was not that big of a problem for him to step in. He wanted to let Andrea solve this situation on his own.

Another group of three men, all dressed in fine robes, were standing in front of them. Their leader was a sharp-eyed man with a haughty expression. The sharp-eyed man stepped forward and pointed at the bamboo stick in Andrea’s hand, saying, "This bamboo stick belongs to our Dark Serpent Gang. Give it back if you want to leave this place safely."

The sharp-eyed man’s voice was cold and authoritative. He commanded Andrea as he spoke, "We have been searching for this treasure for years. Now that we finally found it, you took it away. Do you think I’ll let you take a treasure that I have my eyes on that easily? Hand it over now, and we might overlook your offense of taking what doesn’t belong to you."

Andrea, however, wasn’t intimidated and retorted, "Offense? Don’t make me laugh. I bought this fair and square at the market. If this stick belonged to you, why did you even lose it? Even if what you say is true, it doesn’t matter. Since you discovered this bamboo stick, you should have bought it. Why didn’t you buy it then? Why did you come to snatch it only after I paid the price and bought it?"

Laura also stepped in, crossing her arms on her chest, and said coldly, "If it was so valuable to you, maybe you should have been faster. You lost your chance. Don’t cause trouble here now. This is Gale Ridge City. Do you truly want to be punished by Law Enforcers here?"

The sharp-eyed man’s face darkened as he clenched his fists. He hesitated a little but then pointed at the two of them and said, "You have no idea what you are holding. That bamboo stick is the heirloom of our Dark Serpent Gang. You better return it."

"Heirloom?" Andrea scoffed, glaring at the man. "Funny how you didn’t seem to care about it until after I bought it. I’m not handing it over. Do whatever you want to do. Of course, don’t even think you can bully me. I am not some weak rat who will hide in a hole. I’ll fight you to death if you want this."
