Chapter 206: Ch 206: Terrifying Strength
Chapter 206: Ch 206: Terrifying Strength
Emrys watched the six men fighting from afar. He didn’t hide since there was no place to hide in this grassland.
He watched as one of the warriors slashed with his glowing sword and shouted, "You will never be able to defeat me. I am the strongest here. Hahaha!"
His voice was filled with confidence, but the others didn’t seem intimidated.
"BOOM!"
Another person welcomed his sword attack with his fist, causing a loud explosive voice to echo in the sky. He laughed and replied, "The strongest, huh... We’ll see about that! I won’t go down so easily!"
He jumped in the air, raised his fist that glowed with terrifying power, and slashed down. It was as if a cannon had exploded, a beam of burning energy was fired that actually tore through the space and arrived right in front of the first person.
The first person was already ready to deal with this attack, but before he could make a move, a horrifying whirlwind appeared that swallowed the beam of light. The whirlwind started burning and fiery energy radiated outward, sweeping over for miles.
Emrys watched from a distance in shock. He was amazed by their strength, and couldn’t help but wonder why these people were fighting. Was it for some treasure or something more important? But they don’t seem to be enemies. It was as if they were fighting for fun, not to injure or kill.
He stayed afar, not wanting to get caught in the middle of the battle. The battle was terrifying. He was sure he’d get injured heavily at the very least if even the aftershock of the battle touched him.
However, sometimes, the more a person doesn’t want something to happen, the quicker it happens.
The whirlwind that swallowed the fiery beam of energy appeared as if it would explode at any time.
On top of that, a fourth person added a delightful extra touch. His attack was dodged by the fifth person and directly collided with the fiery whirlwind that was about to explode, causing the whirlwind to spiral out of control.
"Bang!"
The impact intensified the fiery energy, creating a sudden burst of flames that shot out in all directions. The explosion shook the ground, sending shockwaves through the air. The force of the blast knocked everyone back, and the heat from the fiery whirlwind scorched the surrounding area, immediately smoldering the landscape.
Emrys was shocked. He saw the ground cracking and shockwaves rippling through the air with fiery intensity. The heat from the explosion was so intense that it warped the air, almost distorting his vision. Flames actually leaped from the cracks in the ground, and the force of the blast sent debris flying in every direction.
Even though Emrys was standing far away, the fiery shockwaves were about to reach him. He could already feel the scorching heat brushing against his skin, almost burning him.
"Shit, someone is there!"
"He is as weak as an ant. He’ll die."
"What if he is the one we’re looking for? We’ve been searching for Emrys in this space for months without any success. He’s the first person we’ve encountered in a long time. What if he’s actually Emrys Frazier?"
"Save him!"
Everyone only noticed Emrys at this moment. They were surprised at first to see someone else here, but when they realized he might be Emrys Frazier, they were frightened.
He appeared to be extremely weak, so weak that he would definitely die if the fiery shockwave touched him. He’ll be burnt to ashes instantly. If he is really Emrys and dies, doesn’t it mean they’ll fail their mission?
If the Eternal Paradise that issued a special mission for this person comes to know about his death, what will happen?
Many thoughts flashed in the six people’s minds. Only when Raizel Lyra shouted to save him did they come back to their senses?
Raizel was undoubtedly the strongest among them. Just as he was about to make a move, everyone noticed the space around Emrys starting to distort intensely. The distortions became so severe that they formed a thick, impenetrable wall around him, blocking anything from entering or leaving, and completely obscuring whatever was inside.
Not even the fiery shockwaves with the capability to smolder the land and instantly burn Emrys to ashes.
Although the six people were stunned, they acted immediately and dispersed every dangerous element from the air that could threaten Emrys’s life.
After a while, the distortion in space started to settle down and Emrys’s figure was revealed slowly.
"Fortunately, I have the authority over space. Otherwise, I would have died right here," Emrys muttered inwardly and heaved a sigh of relief. At the same time, he looked at the six figures who rushed to him in the blink of an eye.
"Are you alright," Kael asked, worried that Emrys might have gotten injured.
"I’m fine, thanks for asking!" Emrys shook his head and sighed. "Why were you guys fighting? I don’t think you are enemies!"
"You really surprised us. None of us expected you to have space-related abilities!" Raizen muttered.
Now that they rushed to him together and appeared to be worried about him, Emrys knew these people were not bad and were definitely not his or each other’s enemies. So, he didn’t hesitate to ask casually even though they were several times stronger than him.
"Oh, that..." Lyra replied, "We’ve been stuck in this strange space for a few months now and haven’t seen a single soul. We got so bored that we started fighting each other just to pass the time."
"Yes, it was not easy for us to find you!" Jorin also nodded silently.
"Bored?" Emrys sighed, saying, "I can understand you. I almost went crazy before. Fortunately, I heard the sound of battle and was attracted here. Otherwise, I really would have lost my mind after a few more months of not seeing anyone."
"Wait a minute!"
While complaining, Emrys suddenly realized something and said, "Did you just say it was not easy to find me?"
Realizing, Emrys suddenly looked at Jorin. He was surprised and couldn’t help but ask, "Do you even know me?"
In Emrys’s eyes, if these people really knew him, it would be too much. Why do so many people seem to know him when he’s never met them before?
.....
In a vast grassland, seven people could be seen standing. Six of them were powerful enough to destroy a world with just a single finger, but the seventh person was too weak to even create a hole in the spatial fabric of a world, let alone destroy it.
The seventh person was obviously Emrys. He was currently looking at a rectangular golden token in his hand.
This token was completely plain to look at. The word "Eternal" was engraved on one side while on the other side was "Paradise."
Previously, when Emrys asked these people if they knew him, he got an affirmative answer which dumbfounded him greatly. He couldn’t understand how these people even knew him in the first place.
When he asked how they knew him, they told him he’ll know when he leaves this place with them. They also told him that they came from a powerful force and accepted a mission to bring him there.
Emrys is suspicious about the force these people are from, however, if he wants to leave this vast grassland, he can only choose to go with them.
In the end, he accepted their offer.
As for whether the place he was going was dangerous or not, he didn’t care for the time being. All he needed to do right now was escape this place.
Moreover, these people seemed good. He doesn’t want to believe that they came from an evil force.
Only when Emrys accepted to go with them did he receive a golden token from Raizel? They already introduced themselves so he knew everyone now.
From them, he learned that the golden token was called Eternal Token. Only when he has this token can he open a door that can lead to Eternal Paradise, a place of countless opportunities and also the force these six people are from?
This token couldn’t be destroyed through physical force or any energy. It was a token made from an indestructive material.
After receiving guidance from Huang Mengfang, Emrys dropped a drop of blood on it, causing the token to glow faintly. In the next moment, Emrys felt a connection being established.
After receiving nods from the six people, he activated it by using his Cosmic Energy, and in the next second, a strong suction force appeared from the token that sucked him into an unknown space.
When he finally regained his posture, he looked at his surroundings. It seemed to him that he was standing in a valley where he had never been before. He tried to look forward, but there was nothing but a stretch of mountain ranges in his vision.
He began to check himself, but nothing had changed.
While Emrys was finding everything strange, a majestic voice echoed directly into his mind.
