Chapter 204: Ch 204: Taking Away The Archway
Chapter 204: Ch 204: Taking Away The Archway
"If there is no power source, I can simply use my Cosmic Energy to fuel the power and activate this formation," Emrys muttered and the next moment, a large amount of Cosmic Energy poured out of his body and fused with the formation on the ground.
"It worked!"
As expected, Emrys’s guess was right. He could indeed activate the teleportation formation by using Cosmic Energy.
The formation lit up and enveloped Emrys’s entire figure, and then, "woosh", Emrys disappeared.
In the foggy space where the ancient-looking stone archway was located, a large circular pattern on the ground burst out with exploding light, and when the light dissipated, a figure was revealed.
It was Emrys. He was back in this strange foggy space.
As Emrys appeared back in the strange foggy space, the first thing he paid attention to was the carvings on the ancient archway. Just like the first time, he felt as if these carvings were alive.
Once again, he started to feel a call from the archway, as if something very important was there calling him.
Taking a deep breath, he walked toward the stone archway. This time, the carvings on the arch seemed to shimmer more brightly with each step he took, and the fog around him swirled gently, as if pushing him closer to the archway.
Finally, Emrys arrived in front of the archway and reached out to touch the carvings. Just as he reached out, a sudden surge of energy flowed through his body. It was unlike anything he had ever felt before. This surge of energy felt powerful yet strangely comforting. Moreover, this energy seemed to sync with his own Cosmic Energy.
Then, out of nowhere, a thought appeared in his mind: "This is a weapon. This archway is actually a weapon!"
As if his mind was struck with a bolt of lightning, startling him. He couldn’t believe the thought that appeared in his mind out of nowhere.
He hurriedly looked at the archway from a different perspective, only to notice that it was not complete. It appeared to be a broken part of something. Perhaps, it truly is a broken part of a weapon.
Then again, what kind of weapon is this big?
Not to mention, it was only a broken part. If it was complete, just how big it would be?
As for the calling, Emrys can tell that the archway was not calling him in particular. It was just reacting to the Cosmic Energy within his body.
Shaking his head, Emrys thought, "Since this is a broken part of a weapon, can I... take this archway with me?"
The idea seemed ridiculous at first, but the more he thought about it, the more it made sense.
"Can I really take it away?"
Emrys couldn’t help but mutter again, trying to believe in his own ridiculous thoughts.
He couldn’t understand the meaning of these carvings for the time being, there is no benefit in looking at it. If he could put it away, he would do that.
In order to be safe and sure, he didn’t touch the archway with his perception or spiritual sense, instead, he opened the Dimensional Storage right below the archway.
The Dimensional Storage is an ability, it doesn’t have a fixed place for opening and closing. He can open Dimensional Storage anywhere within the range his soul force could cover.
A dark void opened right at the bottom of the archway, causing the archway to fall into the void. Just like half a drop of Soul Essence, the archway also froze right after falling into this dark void. It was also at this moment Emrys stopped hearing the summoning call from the archway.
The archway was sealed.
"Yes!"
Emrys closed the Dimensional Storage and exclaimed in excitement. However, his face soon stiffened when the fog started to dissipate.
This place was covered in fog completely. A person couldn’t even see their own hand. However, when he came close to the archway the first time, he somehow managed to bypass the fog and started seeing shadows. There came a moment when he could clearly see the archway.
After returning from the cavernous space, because the archway was right in front of him, he could see it clearly.
Now that the archway disappeared, the fog didn’t blur his eyes. Instead, it started to dissipate which startled him. He didn’t expect the thick fog to dissipate.
"What a big grassland?"
When the fog cleared completely, Emrys was shocked to discover that the area was actually an immense grassland with not a single tree, mountain, or other terrain features in sight. As far as his eyes could see, there were only small grasses covering the vast expanse.
But then, Emrys started worrying. He didn’t know how to leave this place and go back to the Arkhaven.
No matter what, he needed to return to that world. He didn’t know when, but he was certain Elysia would eventually open a path back to the Infinite Soul Star. If he wasn’t there when she did, how would she locate or find him? How would he make his way back?
"Can I go back with my authority of Space?"
Thinking of this, Emrys tried to use his authority of space, causing the void around him to distort.
Earlier, when the disk was in his hand, Emrys had sensed a pull from a different dimension. If he tries, he may be able to sense the Arkhaven or a different dimension.
Thinking of this, Emrys attempted to reach out using his authority over space, but to his surprise, he failed. He couldn’t feel anything. Instead, the distortion around him grew more intense, twisting the surroundings and causing cracks to appear.
For a moment, Emrys felt a destructive and cold aura surging around him, snapping him back to his senses. He quickly stopped using the authority of space, and the void around him gradually calmed down. The cracks in space also began to mend themselves.
"That was terrifying!"
He has yet to learn how to use the authority. This was a terrifying power, and maybe the most fatal and destructive one. He has to train and understand how to use this authority swiftly and safely.
"In the end, I can’t go back just now. Then, I might as well explore this grassland. Let’s see how big it actually is!"
Although Emrys was worried, he couldn’t do anything. His calculative personality also didn’t allow him to worry too much about going back. Instead of worrying, he might as well try to look for another way.
