Chapter 199: Ch 199: All People At One Place (2)

The third person was a young man who had been traveling quietly through the forest. His name was Jorin. He was dressed in simple clothing and carried a small backpack.

If Emrys was here, he could tell that the simple clothing on Jorin’s body was actually an academy’s dress.

It was very strange for such a person to appear here.

Jorin’s demeanor was calm and observant. Unlike Kael and Lyra, he didn’t appear cautious, worried, or curious. Instead, he seemed to be taking a walk in his garden.

As if he sensed something, Jorin stopped and looked in a certain direction. Frowning, he muttered some incomprehensible words before shaking his head. And then, he began walking in that same direction.

As Jorin walked through the forest, he noticed the sudden change in the atmosphere. The air seemed charged with a strange energy and the forest around him fell eerily silent.

If someone else was here, they would have been frightened. At the very least, they would have become highly alert and cautious. Nonetheless, this was not the case for Jorin. He simply ignored everything and continued to walk.

Very soon, he reached the place where an altar was located. There, he saw Kael and Lyra observing the altar. Both of these people were on guard against each other.

Jorin’s appearance attracted Kael and Lyra’s attention. They revealed a surprised expression, not expecting another person to come here.

The three of them looked at each other. There was a moment of tense silence as they assessed one another.

Kael’s eyes narrowed slightly as he observed the two people with a hint of suspicion. Lyra’s gaze was more curious. Her attention flickered between the altar and the others. Jorin, on the other hand, remained indifferent and calm. It was as if nothing here had anything to do with him.

After a while, Kael spoke first, "Since we are all here, let’s introduce ourselves. You can call me Kael. I came from an extremely faraway place. I don’t think you’ve ever heard of that place so there is no need for me to speak much."

Lyra and Jorin remained silent. After a few seconds, Lyra spoke, "My name is Lyra. I also came from an extremely faraway place, so I won’t be talking about my background. I ended up coming here coincidently."

Finally, it was Jorin’s turn to speak. He smiled at everyone, appearing as calm as ever, and said, "My name is Jorin. Unlike you all, I’ll talk about my background. I came from a different Cosmic Field called Arcanis. I’ve come here after accepting a mission to find a person named Emrys Frazier. As for this altar, it can send me to the secret space where Emrys is supposed to appear. This is the reason I came here."

Jorin’s words stunned the other two. They looked at each other and finally sighed. The two of them seemed to have understood something.

Lyra’s mood seemed to have fallen suddenly. She appeared to be disappointed as she asked in a low voice, "Could it be that the two of you are also members of Eternal Paradise?"

Jorin had already expected this when he saw these two people appearing near the altar. He nodded with a smile.

On the other hand, Kael also nodded, but his expression was conflicted. He didn’t expect to meet two other people who came from the same force. And since they are here, it means all of them have accepted the same mission.

Shaking his head, Kael laughed bitterly, "I’m also a member of Eternal Paradise. I came from a cosmic field called Xylandria, which is under attack by the Abyss. I have to increase my strength as soon as possible and surpass the limit of my Cosmic Field. I can do that only by relying on the Eternal Paradise. The reward for finding Emrys Frazier is shocking. It can bring me infinitely closer to my goal, and so I’m here."

Lyra nodded her head as well. She explained about her situation, "My Cosmic Field is called Kryon Prime. Unlike Kael, my Cosmic Field is invaded by alien creatures who call themselves Xenos. I’m here to find the person named Emrys Frazier as well."

The three of them were shocked. They came from the same force, but different Cosmic Fields.

What is a Cosmic Field?

It is a vast starry sky where countless universes and experts, who can rule and manipulate laws as they wish, exist.

These three people are someone who has already cultivated to an extremely high level of their corresponding Cosmic Fields, nearing the apex. Of course, their cultivation realms have different names, the laws they’ve comprehended are different in essence as well, and even the systems in which they’ve cultivated are different.

Jorin came from Arcanis. Arcanis is a Cosmic Field where neither Qi, Spirit Energy, Soul, Chaos Energy, or Cosmic Energy is cultivated. It is a Cosmic Field where people cultivate mana. The most basic word to call the people of this world is Magi or Magician.

Xylandria, from where Kael is from, is filled with experts who cultivate Divine Power. Divine Power is also essentially different from other forms of energy.

As for Kryon Prime where Lyra is from, this is a sci-fi Cosmic Field. People don’t cultivate any form of energy, instead, they rely on their own bodies. Kryon Prime explores the mysteries of bodies. They awaken genes and cultivate their genes to level up in power and strength.

These three people from three different Cosmic Fields have come to this Cosmic Field named Chaos with only one purpose; that is to find Emrys and bring him back to Eternal Paradise.

"Let’s activate this altar!"

Jorin still had the same smile on his face. He pointed at the altar and said.

The other two nodded. They appeared to be prepared completely. The three of them took out some sort of colorful crystals and placed them at different locations around the altar. Then they used their own power to fuse with those crystals.

The crystals suddenly exploded with multicolored light. Beams of light pillars burst into the sky and pierced through the fabric of space. These pillars of light were so huge that they could be seen from millions of miles away, attracting the attention of countless experts. There was no shortage of Masters of Chaos.

Whether they come to investigate the situation or not is unknown, and it seems these three people don’t care about this at all.

As the multicolored pillars of light exploded in the sky, an extremely thin thread slowly materialized between the crystals and connected them with each other. The next instant, the altar started crumbling. Very soon, the entire area of the altar crumbled, revealing a dark hole that went to the unknown.

It was at this moment, in the void high in the sky where space was pierced and distorted, a huge array formed. Countless mysterious patterns started appearing, connecting with each other. There were several nodes in this array, and each node was being touched with a pillar of multicolored light.

Right then, the multicolored light transformed into a bizarre energy that started to gather at the center of the array before falling down right into the black empty space revealed after the collapse of the altar.

Jorin, Kael, and Lyra were nearest to the altar. They were sent flying the instant the multicolored energy fell from the sky.

It has to be known that these three people were nearing the apex of their cosmic fields. Their strength is not to be looked down on. Even when facing a group of Masters of Chaos lower than Level 30, they were confident in escaping. In fact, they may even succeed in killing many of them.

What is a Master of Chaos?

Chaos is a Cosmic Field, and a Master of Chaos is so named because they transcend the Rules of Chaos. They have mastered one or more of these rules and now have dominion over them.

Emrys has only cultivated to the top of his world, he is far from entering the universe. As for Chaos, the starting point of cultivation has already surpassed the apex of the universe by many times. Such power is not something that Emrys could comprehend with his current understanding and perception of the universe.

Even though he knows about the existence of Universes, Cosmic Fields, and the Vast Expanse of Eternity, he couldn’t imagine the strength one holds after reaching the peak of a universe, let alone Masters of Chaos who stands at the peak of Chaos.

The cultivation stages of Chaos are Nine Realms of Foundation Building, Three Cycles of Chaotic Transformation, Chaos Dust Realm, Chaos Spirit Realm, Three Stages of Spirit Fusion, Chaos Spirit Saint Realm, Chaos Overlord Saint Realm, Nine Vast Origin Sea Realm, Origin Fusion Sovereign Realm, Mystic Sovereign Realm, Chaos Sovereign Realm, Eight Hidden Gates of Celestials, Celestial Awakening Realm, Celestial Sovereign of Chaos and finally the Master of Chaos.

Master of Chaos is divided into 36 Levels.

Jorin, Kael, and Lyra were beings on par with Level 30 Masters of Chaos, yet even they were sent flying by the sheer force of the multicolored energy that descended. This gives a clear sense of just how terrifyingly powerful this energy must be.
