Chapter 184: Ch 184: Entering The Warship

Chapter 184: Ch 184: Entering The Warship

The skeleton in front of Emrys was partially buried in the rocky ground. Its bones had already weathered and yellowed by the long passage of time. The clothing it wore was tattered and faded, with fragments of fabric clinging loosely to the skeletal frame.

The skeleton’s hand clutched a small, almost rusted metal token. The metal was inscribed with ancient symbols that were barely visible. Despite its age, the token had an aura of significance, as if it held some important place.

The skeleton’s skull was tilted slightly. It was facing the massive warship, almost as if the person had died while looking at it.

Emrys sighed at the skeleton and picked up the token. Observing the token, Emrys didn’t find anything suspicious or something that could prove that this token was a treasure. However, he could still feel a powerful spatial fluctuation from this token, but this fluctuation was being tightly restricted by something unknown.

Throwing the token in his spatial ring, Emrys pulled out the silver ring that the skeleton had on its slender, long index finger. This was also a spatial ring, obviously, the one used by the skeleton when it was still alive.

Since the owner of the spatial ring was long dead, everything inside now belonged to him. Curious, he examined the ring and was pleasantly surprised to discover a wealth of treasures stored within. Time does not affect the space inside the ring. The items within were perfectly preserved, untouched by the years that had passed since their previous owner had put them away.

It seems the skeleton wasn’t a powerful warrior. He should be at most a Fifth or Sixth Step Warrior prior to his death.

Keeping the spatial ring, Emrys stood up and started to walk randomly, wanting to explore this secret spatial zone before trying to go inside the warship.

One thing worth mentioning is that the pillars and bridge were not present even here. They could be seen from outside or far away, but once inside this spatial zone, there was nothing but this warship.

The secret spatial zone was vast, and as Emrys explored it further, he realized there was no immediate danger—just an eerie stillness that made the place feel desolate. This lack of threat quickly grew monotonous, leaving him feeling somewhat bored as he continued his search. Over the next few hours, he came across several more skeletons. With each skeleton discovered, Emrys claimed the treasures that had once belonged to these unfortunate souls.

One thing that attracted his attention was the token. Every skeleton he found had a similar token on its body. These tokens were identical to the first one he had obtained which piqued his interest. As he examined the tokens, he was reminded of something Ye Yun and Mu Bailing had mentioned.

"It seems these tokens were meant to be their way out of this world," Emrys mused, holding one of the tokens up to the dim light. "But here, in this spatial zone, I think they are useless. Something unknown is blocking all connections to the outside world, trapping everything and everyone here."

The realization added a layer of mystery to this already strange place.

Shaking his head, Emrys continued to explore this huge spatial zone but found absolutely nothing. In the end, if there was truly something here, then it was the huge ancient space warship.

Emrys returned to the warship and observed it for some time. He again tried several methods to break or bypass the barrier, but he was unable to do so.

Having no choice, Emrys activated the three-dimensional world, causing everything within a thousand meters of radius to fall under his God’s perspective.

Countless nodes covered this 2 km diameter, including inside the warship.

"Eh?"

This entire spatial zone had no danger, but the situation inside the warship was dangerous. Emrys was surprised to see some kind of Armored Beast roaming everywhere inside the warship. There was not one or two of them, there were thousands of them.

Fortunately, none of them were stronger than Seventh Step Beast, at least not within his line of sight.

Emrys called them Armored Beasts because their entire body appeared to be covered in some kind of strange armor, to the point where even tails were completely protected by this exact armor.

The armor was a part of these beasts’ bodies.

Aside from these beasts, there were several thick lines of various colors on the floor. Each line was short and ended with an arrow, obviously showing a direction to walk. The line that went the deepest was yellow-arrowed lines.

Taking a deep breath, Emrys teleported directly inside the warship.

"I succeeded!"

Emrys was overjoyed before focusing on the armored beasts that roared at him and pounced. They were too weak to do Emrys any harm.

Emrys dealt with them in a short minute and started to walk deeper into the warship, following the yellow line.

The warship was huge and there were several tunnel-like corridors. Despite the numerous tunnels, the guidance from the yellow mark made it possible to continue walking towards one specific location.

Of course, he had zero idea where he was going. He was very cautious, not letting down his guard in the slightest.

As he had seen, hundreds of Armored Beasts continued to appear in front of him. He skillfully navigated through the twisting passages, steering clear of the Armored Beasts. Determined not to waste time dealing with them, Emrys relied on the yellow line’s guidance, which made him more familiar with the tunnels as he advanced deeper.

However, as he went deeper, the presence of Armored Beasts increased significantly. Eventually, Emrys had no choice but to confront them.

These Armored Beasts posed little challenge for Emrys. To save time, he directly took out a sword from one of the spatial rings he obtained from skeletons.

With a burst of force, Emrys charged forward like a projectile, disregarding the Armored Beasts in his path. At the same time, he continued to strike.

There were numerous collisions, and many Armored Beasts were caught in the impact. As long as they came in contact with Emrys’s sword, their armor failed to protect them. They ended up dead.

On the other hand, Emrys’s defense was nearly impenetrable. He barreled through the creatures, sending them flying or shattering them, and quickly made his way deeper into the passageway.
