Chapter 154: Ch 154: Blood Demon Bugs

"What happened?"

"I... I stepped on Blood Demon Bug and accidentally killed it." Rufi’s face paled instantly as she answered him in a very low voice, as if she did not want anyone to hear.

This was Emrys’s first time hearing about Blood Demon Bug, but he did not overthink. This bug was only a Second Step Creature. What is there to be afraid about?

"As I said, these bugs live in a colony. They are spiritually connected with each other. They may be coming to eat me at any time."

The more she spoke, the more horrified she became. It was exhausting for her to explain how she may die here because of her one mistake.

Emrys’s eyes lit up. He was not far from climbing the Seventh Step. Just hunting about ten more Sixth Step Creatures is enough to take him that step.

As for Second or Third Step creatures, a single one might not be of much help, but tens of thousands could surely elevate him to the top of the Seventh Step at the very least.

The question was, how to kill them all at once?

"I’m sorry. I implicated you," Rufi turned to Emrys and said apologetically. From her expression, Emrys could tell that she had already accepted her fate.

"We’re not dead yet. Why are you apologizing? It’s just a bunch of bugs." Emrys smiled at her and said calmly. Anyone could hear a hint of excitement in his eyes, but Rufi was too scared to notice this.

Rufi: "???"

By now, tens of thousands of Blood Demon Bugs had gotten closer to Emrys and Rufi.

Emrys’s eyes flashed. He pulled Rufi by his side. The next moment, a golden radiance burst out of his body, covering an area of three meters around him. These three meters of land around him immediately formed into a Golden Domain where Emrys could execute a bunch of powerful skills that can’t be used normally.
