Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 152: Ch 152: The Border

Chapter 152: Ch 152: The Border

"You are right, Chief Bohu," Emrys said with a smile, looking directly at him. "I’m here to find something very important. I need to know about the Sunfire Heartseed. Where can I find this treasure?"

Chief Bohu’s eyes revealed a trace of shock. He fell silent for a moment, then he looked at Emrys and tried to confirm, "Sunfire Heartseed?"

Nodding, Emrys confirmed, "Yes, the Sunfire Heartseed. It’ll be a great help if you can tell me where to find this treasure. Even better if you have it and are willing to give it to me. Aside from the Saint Bone, I’m willing to trade other treasures in exchange."

Shaking his head, Chief Bohu sighed. "How can we possess a treasure like the Sunfire Heartseed? You might not know this, but the Sunfire Heartseed is a Level 8 Spirit Herb. It can only be found in special areas, such as places rich in natural energies, places overflowing with vitality, places with abundant water and fire forces, or at the borders between Level 1 and Level 2 areas."

"Level 1 areas do not have places with rich natural energies, overflowing vitality, or abundant water and fire forces. A few years ago, a rumor started that someone had seen a Sunfire Heartseed at the border between Level 1 and Level 2 areas. We can tell you about that location, but no one has ever returned after going there. If you truly want to go, you must be extremely careful."

The border between Level 1 and Level 2 areas?

Emrys frowned.

Although Emrys knew he was in a Level 1 area and that there were several such areas in this world, he also knew there were multiple Level 2 areas. However, this was the first time he heard about the border between Level 1 and Level 2 areas.

At first, he thought going to a Level 2 area shouldn’t be difficult. In his eyes, Level 1 and Level 2 areas seemed like two villages standing side by side. All he had to do was cross the first village to enter the second one. But now, hearing about the border, he realized crossing this border might be much harder than he initially thought.

Chief Bohu saw Emrys’s expression and frowned. But then his expression relaxed.

"It seems this is your first time hearing about the border between Level 1 and Level 2 areas," Chief Bohu explained. "Actually, all areas are separated by several miles of wide border. Each border is different, but one thing is common among all of them: they are exceedingly dangerous. Crossing the border to enter a different area is like playing with one’s own life. This is also the reason why not even Seventh Step Warriors dare to step into the border easily. Only if someone is lucky enough to become an Eighth Step Warrior can they have a little higher chance of success in crossing the border."

"I don’t know the exact location of the Sunfire Heartseed, but I do know the rumor is true and the treasure must be somewhere within the border. I can send someone to guide you to the border’s edge. From there, you’ll have to rely on yourself."

"This is enough for me. Thank you!" Emrys replied with a smile, taking a deep breath. Indeed, just having someone guide him to the border’s edge was sufficient. He couldn’t risk someone else’s life for his goal. After reaching the border, he would depend on himself to find the Sunfire Heartseed.

Without hesitating, Emrys took out gave the Saint Bone to Chief Bohu, and said, "Chief Bohu, I have a favor to ask."

Chief Bohu was a wise man. He understood Emrys’s difficulties and intentions just from one sentence and the look in his eyes. Chief Bohu nodded and said, "Don’t worry about your team. They can stay here for as long as they want."

Emrys expressed his gratitude and took out the Green Spirit Plant, gifting it to Chief Bohu again, and saying, "I’m very thankful. I promise I will return very soon. I have confidence in my strength. So, all I ask you is to believe me and take care of my team for a few days."

After dinner, Emrys gathered everyone and said, "I’ll be gone for a few days. If you want to stay and wait for me, I promise to continue leading you all. However, if you want to leave, I won’t stop or blame you. Everyone is here looking for an opportunity, and I understand that staying in one place might feel like wasting time. So, if you want to leave, you can go."

Emrys left immediately after speaking, not waiting for their decision. They could choose what to do and act accordingly without needing to inform him.

Emrys returned to his room, knowing that tomorrow morning he would leave the village to search for the Sunfire Heartseed. He was just surprised a little. Mu Bailing made it like interacting with natives of this world is difficult. He did not expect everything to go so smoothly.

Of course, the Saint Bone and team played an important role in this smooth journey. If not for their presence, he did not believe Chief Bohu would have told him the information about the Sunfire Heartseed.

.....

Next day.

Early in the morning, someone knocked on the gate.

Emrys opened the door and saw a girl about his age standing in front of him. She greeted him and said, "Hello, my name is Rufi Celesto. Chief Bohu asked me to lead you to the border’s edge."

Emrys was startled. He didn’t expect Chief Bohu to ask a sweet-looking girl to guide him. Looking into her eyes, he realized she was neither weak nor particularly strong. She was a Third Step Warrior.

Compared to the natives of this world, walking the twelve steps of the foundation building is easier for outsiders for some unknown reason. They can quickly climb these steps using various methods. Mysterious Sky Fruits are the best example. For some unknown and mysterious reason, only outsiders can obtain these fruits and swallow them to quickly climb three steps in one go. The only restriction is that a person can only swallow one fruit.

Emrys had yet to swallow the Mysterious Sky Fruit. He is waiting to become a Seventh Step Warrior before consuming the fruit. This way, he can directly climb to the Tenth Step.
