Chapter 306 - 305-
"So intense!" Grey said as he wiped away the blood that was pouring from his eyes, ears, nose and mouth. His face was so pale that he resembled a ghost.
This time, the rebounding power of the laws was so strong that it eviscerated Grey’s spirit body in an instant.
The only thing he felt was a sharp and intense pain all over his body before his spirit body was ripped to shreds. Grey’s divine sense that had made up the spirit body was also affected and Grey received a huge mental backlash.
As he sat down on the stairs, he closed his eyes to recover and heal himself. But blood would still seep out from his nose and ears.
"The power of the laws coming from that other black star is much more intense than the first one. I had not even pressed down against the star... when I was shredded into bits and pieces." Grey said in a low voice. Fear could be seen on his face.
Even he had not expected that he would die so quickly. Moreover, he felt that the laws from that other star was much more aggressive and was inclined to kill than the first one.
Grey even had the faint feeling that... if he appeared before it again, maybe he would be attacked by the laws without even having to do anything.
’But this death of mine also proves that the levels of each black star is different. And the power of the law that they execute will also vary.’
Grey thought inwardly. The first star he had chanced upon which was also the closest star to him at that time, had a relatively calm temperament. It would only shove him away when he came too close and with his supressive aura spreading out.
That star did not exert too much pressure on him even when he released the purple crystal’s aura on top it. At most, he received moderate damage.
But the second star... Grey could not tell whether it was the size difference or something else that made it to react differently to his presence.
"If two black stars have different levels of laws and one is much stronger than the other, then it means that there must be much weaker stars out there." Grey spoke softly to himself.
If that was the case, then the possibility of him usurping control over the star would increase. Because it did not matter whether it was the first star or the second star, he could not suppress any of them in a short period of time.
If he even got close, he would be sent flying away. So the only other option available to him was to find a much weaker star and supress that star before it could utilize the laws and send him away.
"Thankfully, the damage to my spirit body does not cause any real damage to me. As it is also combined with the purple crystal aura, I hardly took much physical damage. Only the damage of my divine sense being shredded that occurred to me." Grey said with a grateful expression.
At most, it would take some time for him to reform his spirit body. And when he had done that, he could go back to exploring and finding black stars in the endless white space.
After Grey had this thought, he closed his eyes and entered a deep meditative state to recover his spirit body and the divine sense that he had spent.
Throughout this time, Grey’s sea of consciousness was in a very depleted state. The seemingly endless spirit sea that covered his entire sea of consciousness was nearly depleted and dried up.
If Grey had continued for a few more hours, his spirit sea of consciousness would have completely been depleted and Grey would have to cancel his spirit body form.
It took nine days before Grey’s sea of consciousness was refilled. But Grey could not form his spirit body anytime soon, because his divine sense was still in the process of recovering.
Recovering his divine sense took another eleven days. By the time eleven days passes, Grey had returned to his peak condition. He slowly opened his eyes as his gaze landed on the steps below him.
The small tiny black speckles of light had become even smaller now. Grey had to expend a lot of energy to find even one.
During his recovery period, Grey noticed that there was no sound in that icy and desolate world. He also did not hear any sound of the captain or Roxanne ascending the stairs. It was like he was outside reality and in a different time.
’If that’s the case... then the amount of time I can spend in this place should be long. But it can’t be too long, if not, I might get trapped here.’ Grey did not forget his mission, and formed his spirit body once more.
As a domineering and mysterious aura rise within Grey, in his sea of consciousness, a person with exactly the same features as Grey was formed.
He had lifeless eyes and a deadpan expression. When the purple crystal aura within him rose and entered his sea of consciousness, the small person was engulfed in the vast purple aura and his figure disappeared.
But a few seconds later, the lifelike Grey walked out with a calm and apathetic expression. His hair and eyes were purple and so were his clothes.
With a dominant and supressive aura emanating from him, the life-like Grey took a step and walked out from his sea of consciousness.
When he came out, he was very blurry and his figure looked like it would disappear at any time. His body was also semi transparent and it looked like he was fading out.
This person looked at still Grey with a calm expression for few seconds before turning around and entering the icy stairs below.
The moment he entered the Icy stairs, it was like he had stepped into a whole different whole of white.
Everything around him was white and as cold as ice with small black dots in the distance. But even the cold and the white nature of this place did not affect Grey’s spirit body form in any way.
He flew in a particular direction towards the nearest black dot. Grey wanted to try again.
