That was only the first step... yet, the overwhelming force that had nearly dominated him was so immense that he had nearly went unconscious. He looked at the captain who stood on the seventh step with a pale expression on her face while blood trailed down the side of her lips.

This was only the first step, there were many more before he could reach the top of the crystal palace.

While trembling, Grey raised his right foot and took his second step unto the second stair.
